We stayed at Bjorn’s house for 3 nights and it was the perfect base for exploring beautiful West Iceland. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Bjorn was responsive and informative. Would definitely recommend staying here.

My family and I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb. The location was perfect—close enough to downtown, but still in a quiet, peaceful area. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed to feel comfortable. We also loved the thoughtful touches throughout the house, from cozy blankets to the coffee pots. This place made our trip even more memorable.

Truly magical place. Absolutely beats staying in town and all of the best hotels in Iceland. Beautiful surroundings to watch the northern lights, enjoy a perfectly designed outdoor fire pit, relax in a heated outdoor pool, and watch the sunrise. The hot springs, restaurant, and beaches are walkable from the house. The restaurant will deliver a small breakfast for your group to the house. 45 min drive to Reykjavík.

The house is as beautiful as the surroundings. The furniture and finishings were beautifully crafted and very comfortable. You had the convenience of being in a small town to grab a bite to eat or run down to the store for a few groceries, but you also the breathtaking landscape views Iceland is known for. This was a wonderful place to stay and when we go back, we will be checking this listing first to see if it's available!

Anna worked well to accommodate the changes needed given the closing of the town and took great care of us.

We absolutely loved this home! Quiet and an excellent base location for a few days exploring the south coast but easy to get back to the airport. First time travelers to Iceland, could not recommend this cozy and friendly home more - even caught the Northern lights one night!

We had a wonderful stay at Svartaborg’s home while in Iceland. The space was lovely… And had everything we needed. The geothermal hot tub was incredible.. The shower was the best shower. We had our entire trip in Iceland. and the area is dark, which makes it an great spot to stay to see the northern lights . my only regret is that we didn’t have more time to stay there..

Es war eine tolle Unterkunft. Wir haben uns gleich sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles war so wie beschrieben nur noch schöner. Die Lage der Wohnung war toll und man kann von dort viele Ausflüge machen. Es war alles sehr sauber, die Betten waren super und der Pool außen war ein Traum. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war sehr unkompliziert. Toll war, dass wir von einem vereinbarten Treffpunkt zur Wohnung gebracht wurden, da sie nicht ganz einfach zu finden ist. Am Abend konnten wir aufgrund der Lage tolle Polarlichter sehen. Wir würden sofort wieder in dieses schöne Haus fahren! Danke!

This was a really beautiful place to stay, we loved it. House was spotless and so well equipped and warm. Most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! Location was amazing and the views are incredible. The high snow fall did make getting out of the driveway difficult, but that was part of the adventure.

Sigurdur was an excellent host. His home was beautiful, very clean and we enjoyed the sauna and hot tub immensely. The house was well stocked and very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A very cozy house, super well-equipped, the sauna and hot pot were sensational! The location right in front of Kirkjufell Mountain is unbeatable, we even got to see the Northern Lights! The rent for the house is quite high, but worth every cent and highly recommended!

Io e il mio gruppo di amici abbiamo alloggiato presso l’appartamento per una sola notte (purtroppo)… è stato un peccato perché era tutto bellissimo, dalla sauna all’hot tub, dalla cucina alle stanze. Tutto in ordine, pulito, curato ed allestito nei minimi dettagli! Ci siamo divertiti e abbiamo usufruito di ciò che l’alloggio offriva! Waffles di benvenuto con marmellata di rabarbaro dal giardino dei proprietari incluso! È stato veramente un peccato non aver alloggiato li per più giorni. In ogni caso, super consigliato e spero/speriamo proprio di ritornarci un giorno, ci siamo sentiti a casa 🌼💛 grazie ancora ai proprietari! Siamo sicuri andrà molto bene la vostra attività ☺️

Die Lage des Cottage ist schön ruhig mit einem tollen Ausblick auf die Berge und das Meer. Húsavík ist fußläufig erreichbar. Das Cottage ist gemütlich ohne viel Schnick Schnack. Man kann dort super abschalten. Das Cottage ist mit allen notwendigen Sachen ausgestattet und so wie im Inserat beschrieben. Wir haben es sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Geweldig verblijf. Lekker warm huisje, ruim en heel veel leuke spulletjes om te ontdekken. Geweldige hottub en zipline en we hebben het noorderlicht op 4 van de 8 dagen gezien. Goede locatie om het zuiden (zuid westen) te ontdekken en goed contact met de verhuurder gehad. Een auto is nodig om je goed te kunnen verplaatsen. Hier en daar is wat verbetering nodig aan het huisje maar ze zijn het dan ook aan het renoveren. Huisje is groot genoeg voor 6 personen. Hier zijn ook goede slaapplaatsen voor, maar de zolderkamer is echt te krap als slaapkamer. Dit is meer geschikt als een bergzolder. Ik zou het huisje de volgende keer weer boeken. Echt goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. We hebben hier een fantastische vakantie gehad met z'n drieën.

Excellent séjour, bel emplacement, chalet cosy

This cabin was an absolute dream for our honeymoon. It felt super remote and secluded, with incredible vistas of the snowy mountains and valley below. We felt lucky to be the highest cabin on the hill side, it felt really private and we enjoyed the long track up to the location. We had everything we needed, efficient heating, great kitchen and the hot tub was absolutely perfect (though please note that sulfurous water will reversably tarnish silver jewellery!) No complaints, thanks for making our trip so damn special xx

Johanna & her sisters were great hosts & the log cabin is really amazing! We received very detailed information how to find & check-in & also some helpful information regarding the area (supermarkets, rental cars etc.). So, we felt like home just when we arrived. The cabin is equipped with really everything you need, e.g. the fireplace & the clothes horse were very helpul when coming back from hiking on a stormy & rainy day. Worth mentioning is also the hot tub from which you can look towards the river. Overall, we can absolutely recommend the log cabin & we will definitely come back. Selfoss (grocery), the Golden Circle, Thingvellir & Reykjavik are within a max. 1.5 hour drive.

This is a really lovely homey little cottage in beautiful surroundings. Sandra provided everything we needed with a fully equipped kitchen and a wonderful hot tub outside the house. It’s right next to the Kerid Crater and close to many other sights. Although we only stayed for one night, I would highly recommend this place for a longer stay. We will definitely recommend to friends.

Wir haben uns in dieser Unterkunft sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Lage direkt am golden Circle und nah zur Südküste ist einfach super. Den Hot Tub haben wir jeden Tag mehrmals genutzt. Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben.

Gorgeous cabin! The living space is separated from the sleeping space by the foyer--we fit 7 people here, and it was nice to be able to all hang out in the living area together, and then some of us to be able to stay up later without bothering the others. The two bathrooms were great as well, and laundry mid week on our trip was a treat we didn't expect!
