We had an amazing stay here. For our plans the location was great. We loved it!

This was the perfect place for our family of 4. Lots of space, a well-stocked kitchen, and the hot tub was the perfect touch at the end of the night! Bjorn responded immediately any time we had a question. His house is conveniently located for adventures on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, and walking distance to several restaurants and the grocery store. We loved it!

Das wunderschöne alte Haus am Fjord ist einfach nur unbeschreiblich einzigartig. Es liegt traumhaft direkt am Wasser, es ist liebevoll hergerichtet und verfügt über alles was man braucht. Wir haben hier als Familie mit 2 Jugendlichen eine wundervolle Zeit verbracht und werden ganz sicher wiederkommen. Schöner kann man wohl in Island kaum noch wohnen. Herzlichen Dank an Eyþór für die tolle und jederzeit schnelle Kommunikation. Grenivik ist ein liebenswerter kleiner Ort an dem man sich einfach nur wohlfühlen muss. Danke für die unvergessliche Zeit!

We werden warm onthaald door Siggi en hond Pieter! De accommodatie voldeed aan alle behoeften en we voelden ons er helemaal thuis! Lekker ruim, fijn ingericht, van alle gemakken voorzien en heel netjes en schoon. Esther was altijd bereikbaar bij vragen. We zijn jullie erg dankbaar en raden deze accommodatie ten zeerste aan!

Das Appartement war sehr schön und gemütlich. Wir fühlten uns vor beginn an wie zu Hause und genossen die Ruhe auf dem Land sehr. Tolle Lage für Ausflüge zum Golden Circle und weitere Orte. Würde sofort wieder buchen.

Kids enjoyed the most because of the PlayStation .We loved the cute radio playing in the morning during breakfast and the coffee machine was perfect ! We were very comfortable in your house . House was perfect for a family of 4. Also loved the attractions folder . We enjoyed the Mexican food from the food truck company and the ice creams from the local shop. Watched a nice movie together last night . Was home away from home . Thanks a lot .

Great place with lovely views

Very convenient location for exploring the Snæfellsness Peninsula. Since you can park right outside the front door, moving in is easy. The host responded quickly to any concerns. The only drawback is that the shower wall doesn’t extend far enough, resulting in a wet bathroom floor.

Burma’s beautiful home is ideal for anyone who wants two bathrooms (hard to find in Iceland) and plenty of space. It’s in a quaint small town very close to the Golden Circle and not far from Selfoss, which has more substantial amenities. Easy drive to Gullfoss and Geysir, and a small grocery is within walking distance of the house. The views from the sunroom are beautiful. The kitchen is modern, functional, and spacious. The outdoor area, including the hot tub, is wonderful in the evening. The nearby restaurants, including those in Reykholt, are wonderful! We highly recommend this place for people who want extra space and don’t want to stay in the busy capital city. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Nice cabin amongst the woods in Husafell. We were fortunate to enjoy the aurora from the deck on both nights! The floor heating made the cabin cosy. Husafell is wonderful place to enjoy nature, including several treks nearby, and Karl's cabin provided a nice home base.

Cute and cozy little place. Perfect after 4 days in the city. Tight bedrooms, but didn’t need much, as we were mostly out exploring. Had everything we needed. Hot tub was really nice after a long day of hiking. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate for northern lights while there, so was a bit of a splurge financially without seeing them. But a risk we were willing to take.

Lovely cottage with amazing views. Cottage was clean, cozy, and exactly what we were looking for. Comfy beds and couch. Loved the covered hot tub - we had windy/rainy evenings, so it was nice to soak while having some weather protection! There is a large windowed sliding door you can open as well to let in cool air in. Host was friendly and communicative, check-in and check-out were very easy. Other pros - there’s a cute restaurant onsite, and we didn’t use them, but also laundry facilities. We’d definitely stay again!

It was very well equipped, and everything you could possibly need for cooking was provided. Vladimar was kind and welcoming. The location is very quiet but still central, making it easy and convenient to reach a Supermarket and major attractions. We had a fantastic time and would love to come back anytime!

One of the best places we stayed while in Iceland. We were able to walk to the private black sand beach to watch the sunset. So picturesque and beautiful. The yurt was very comfortable. The heated beds were perfect. Even caught a glimpse of the northern lights! Cannot recommend this place enough.

Waren nun zum zweiten Mal in der Unterkunft. Schön ruhig und abgelegen und dennoch sind Selfoss und oder touristische Ziele schnell zu erreichen. Selfoss und der Krater Kerið in ca 15 Minuten und der Nationalpark Þingvellir in 40 Minuten. Ideale Ferienwohnung für 2 Personen die im Urlaub abschalten wollen. Auch der Kontakt mit Steinunn ist schnell und unkompliziert. Nächster Urlaub ist schon in der Planung.

Place was nice, better than in pictures in my opinion. We even saw the northern lights! Perfect place to stay near the airport.

I absolutely loved this place to stay with my friends for an Iceland trip! We enjoyed the cozy cabin feel to this place. We got to see the beautiful horses and beautiful scenery. Our all time favorite thing from the whole stay was the lovely doggie that made sure she followed us around and took good care of us! Overall a wonderful stay and would HIGLY recommend!

Gunnsa is a true gem of a host, her space is filled with character and is well-lived in, but not so much that it doesn’t feel like your own cozy space upon check in. She is so sweet and even left us a thoughtful little welcome gift! The communication was easy and quick- she certainly strives to truly make you feel comfortable. The house itself was perfect for us 4 single friends, we each had comfortable rooms with double beds and even a hot tub we enjoyed! The location is about 15-20min outside of the city center, but since we’re here mostly to explore nature, it was the perfect jump off point with many grocery (even Costco) options nearby to get geared up and head out of town with. Her kitchen is well-stocked, she’s obviously a chef and for our group to whom food is everything, it was nice to cook in her space, wanting for nothing. Thank you Gunnsa for you warm Icelandic hospitality!

Hafdis’ space is cozy and the view can’t be beat. It was as described and there were so many useful and personal touches. Hafdis was so kind and thoughtful. She alerted us of the Aurora so we could see and throughout the night we could view them from the window in the bedroom. The bathroom is clean with a great shower and some privacy from the sleeping space. The kitchenette is well stocked with useful items. If we ever return to Iceland we would definitely stay here again!
