Adorable cabins as described on a beautiful farm with incredible views of the nearby glaciers. Everything was clean, easy to find, etc. Definitely rustic & simple, but well maintained, clean and good location for exploring South East Iceland. WiFi worked really well also!

We loved staying in Daníels cabin! He is an incredible host, friendly and helpful and welcoming. We felt comfortable and welcome from the start and he provided us with anything we needed. The cabin itself was very warm, spacious and had everything we needed and more. There were beautiful big windows all throughout the place where we could gaze outside at the stars and northern lights. We also enjoyed the hot tub outside and the sauna, and the location was peaceful. The perfect getaway!

Amazing accommodation. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, everything was clean and tidy. I choose it again!

If you are looking for a little cabin in the middle of nowhere this is your place! Well equipped cabins, comfortable (firm) beds. Dinner and breakfast up at the hotel were good, if somewhat over priced. Host was friendly and we were able to check in early which was nice after being in the cold rain most of the day. Recommend if you are looking for peace and tranquility.

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt in dem kleinen Häuschen. Es war sehr heimelig und warm auch wenn draußen der Sturm tobte. Die Lage war super. Schnell beim Golden Circle und an der Südküste und Polarlichter konnte man auch super schauen.

What an awesome place! Quiet, private, on a gorgeous farm, but only a 15-20 minute drive from restaurants and shops. The accomodation is a cozy and very well equiped cabin. There is a large field just in back of the cabin that is perfect for watching the auroras at night and the horses by day. Harald, the host is a wonderful guy. I really enjoyed talking with him about Iceland, history, and his farm. He was kind enough to let us feed the horses and sheep. We also met their cat, and the newest addition to their family, an adorable little black lab puppy named Kuttli. Talking with Harald, helping with the animals and playing with Kuttli were a highlight of an already wonderful vacation. This is a great place to stay. Book it. You'll be glad that you did.

We had a wonderful stay for 5 days in the cottage. The landscape was breathtaking, the photos do not do it justice! The cottage is equipped with everything we could possibly need, and very easy to get to by car. The outside hot tub with geothermal water was a lovely feature and fills up quickly. Within an hour or two from the biggest touristy places which was nice. We will definitely be back!

WOW! What an incredible stay we have just had. This little cottage/ lodge is perfect for a calm stay surrounded by beautiful Icelandic countryside. We were hoping to see the northern lights but they didn’t make an appearance but the star gazing was incredible! The cottage is clean and tidy. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We got groceries from nearby Selfoss (10 min car journey). This place is great if you don’t hire a car on your stay. We didn’t feel comfortable driving in Icelandic winter conditions but the journey from Reykjavik was smooth and easy. Sigrun even helped us to get a taxi from Selfoss to the cottages. Sigrun was an amazing host. She sent over lots of information before we checked in, was extremely responsive and friendly. We honestly had the best time staying here and we didn’t want to leave. We will certainly be planning another trip to Iceland and when we do, we will be staying here again.

A beautiful place, which is very well looked after. The location is incredible and we managed to catch the northern lights! Ingibjorg was an amazing host.

Ingi’s place is super cozy and clean. The kitchen is very well-equipped, ranging from a dishwasher to all kinds of spices. There is plenty of entertainment, with a TV provided with YouTube and Netflix, plus a puzzle game of Iceland, so you will not feel bored at all. The towels are fresh and they smell good. Overall it is a 12 out of 10 experience. Highly recommend. We lack luck in Northern Light during our stay, otherwise, it would be a perfect location to see one as well!

Beautiful view of the river right outside the cabin. Pall was friendly and made a point to meet us and gave recommendations for the area. Highly recommend!

Wow! This was our favorite place to stay so far on our trip. Such a great location to so many things! They were so responsive when we needed them! I would for sure stay here again!

The little house by the sea was one of the best we ever stayed in. Even if you have neighbours next to you, you won‘t hear them. It feels very private. The apartment is so cozy and we felt at home right away. We watched the seabirds every morning from the window and even saw spectacular northern lights the first night. The restaurant in den town was also very nice. We would 100% recommend to stay here and would love to come back one day. Such a lovely place!

We stayed at this place for two nights ( 3 adults and 1 kid). It is very well equipped, you'll find everything you need for grilling or regular cooking. Views are breathtaking, and if you're lucky with the weather you can just chill outside and enjoy the fresh air. Hosts were very friendly and quickly answered all our questions. Instructions are perfect. One thing to note - if you use google maps, don't put the address there, use the coordinates. Address is correct, but google maps directs you to wrong location ( though, not far from correct place ).

My sister, my teenage daughter and myself spent five days at Edda’s place. It suited our needs perfectly. It’s right on the golden circle so easy to get about. We enjoyed the private location, great outlook and dark skies. We were lucky enough to see Aurora twice from right outside the property :) The house is warm, modern and clean. We cooked each evening and found the kitchen well equipped. All in all a great base to explore the South West of Iceland from.

Paesaggi mozzafiato, tranquillità e serenità sono le parole chiave per questo soggiorno. I due host sono gentilissimi e super disponibili ad ogni evenienza, l’alloggio è circondato da una vista splendida e da numerosi animali (cavalli/pecore/conigli e gatti). Ottima posizione per vedere l’aurora boreale. Torneremo sicuramente!

We absolutely loved our stay at Fridriks! Such a beautiful spot on the lake and such a wonderful view from the cabin. We had only one day of heavy rain and wind during our trip to Iceland and were so happy that this occurred while we were staying at Fridriks! So warm and comfortable and such a stunning view. Lovely to be able to walk around the lake once the weather calmed and have sunset nibbles on the verandah. Not a large upstairs sleeping space for our adult children but certainly doable for a few nights. Fridrik was a great communicator - always responsive with recommendations and clear instructions. Overall a great stay! Thanks Fridrik!

This really is a one of a kind location. Right on the beach. Spectacular night of the aurora borealis after a beautiful sunset. Make sure you get to the beach during low tide as the hiking is spectacular and high tide can be tricky. Great strategic Location if you're headed farther east. Worth two nights stay easily.

Wahnsinnig schönes und ruhiges cottage, ein Schmuckstück! Die Ruhe genießen wenn man auf der Terrasse im Hot Tub liegt ist großartig. Wir konnten sogar die Nordlichter sehen. Ein Trip den wir nicht vergessen werden, vielen Dank!

My friend and I stayed here the last night of our Iceland trip and we had an amazing time. Einar and Thora were wonderful hosts and I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Iceland if you want a wholesome experience. They were lovely to talk to and made us feel right at home. We saw the northern lights from their patio which was the highlight of our trip!!!

Die kleine Hütte ist sehr liebevoll und gemütlich gestaltet und der Ausblick auf den Fjord und Akureyri ist atemberaubend schön! Diese Unterkunft hat unsere Island-Tour sehr bereichert und ist daher eine absolute Empfehlung:)
