This was my second time at Seldom Scene. It is homey, comfortable and probably one of the best accommodations I have had in my travels. Leighanne is a delightful and extremely accommodating host. I already look forward to my next stay!

We had a wonderful 2-night stay and really enjoyed this home in the woods. The room was comfortable and quiet. Continental breakfast delivered to our door each morning was yummy and Vicki made a special effort to make sure it was gluten free for me. The grounds are beautiful and the pool looked inviting, though we didn’t take advantage of it. We appreciated the proximity to the Dunes parks/beaches during the day, and the short drive to many restaurants in Chesterton in the evening. All in all, a very pleasant stay. We would happily stay again!

Pam and Vince were lovely hosts. Their home is beautiful, our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We were apprehensive about staying in someone's home and were so pleased with the outcome!

Visually unique environment. I like the eclectic design. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Very quiet. I never felt like I needed to call Linda for anything. She was thorough with instructions via messages and signs left around the Inn. I appreciated that the continental food items were available throughout the day. Nice to grab coffee or and a snack when I needed it. Would definitely book again!

Teresa is one of the best hosts I came across after staying in many previous Airbnb's. She was very sweet and helpful. Upon our arrival, she prepared amazing welcome snacks and beverages, gave us a tour of the house, which was spectacular and made sure we have everything we need. In the morning, we were greeted by amazing breakfast. I strongly recommend to everyone and will definitely come back if I'm in town next time.

Karen was very helpful and thoughtful about what amenities to provide. I was there for my brother’s birthday and she left us a small cake, which was very thoughtful and appreciated. For larger events, like the one we were there for, she will rent out the other bedroom (the front of the listing says 2 bedrooms but this is apparently AirBnB’s mistake, not the host’s) but she did a great job coordinating and the other person staying was lovely.

Beverly's house was beautiful and it was a pleasure staying there! We wish we had more time to spend and look forward to a hopeful return in the future!

Loved the fact that they have coffee available. The room and common areas are clean and friendly. Felt safe and welcome and was very appreciative of having a place to stay for the night!

Mel and Grace Ann are wonderful hosts and their B&B is truly a gem. I stayed here with my boyfriend while visiting family in town this past Saturday night and this place well exceeded all expectations. Their home is beautiful (the pink floral dining room was my favorite part) and the breakfast they’ll cook you will be one of the best you’ve ever had. There was plenty of privacy for us, but it was so fun to meet and chat with the other guests staying with them too! I look forward to coming back! Thank you both! :)

I rented this place for a sister’s get away and it was exactly as mentioned. Small cozy apartment below the owners home. Everything was exactly as described. Everything was cleaned and smelled great. Hot tub was PERFECT!! We had a great time thank you so much! 🖤

Wow what a great place! The location is close to the fun downtown and the room was comfortable. Lovely historic home. The breakfast was delicious and very generous: quiche, scones, toast, yogurt parfait, fruit, coffee. Mel even offered us a “to go” container for extra scones for the road. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

I saw some poor reviews of this place but needed a place for the Taylor Swift concert and we were pleasantly surprised. I got the feeling this place is trying to improve, and it shows. The Paris Suite is on the first floor so it's easily accessible, it's very spacious, clean, and has a huge tub if you choose. The TV/Netflix worked fine, parking was a cinch, and the continental breakfast had coffee, tea, milk, OJ, three kinds of cereal, two kinds of instant oatmeal, pkgs of muffins, crackers, chips. All in all, we were pleased with our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shelly and Addison’s house for a Notre Dame football weekend. They were very friendly and made us feel right at home. The house was clean, beds were comfortable and location was convenient to campus. The breakfasts were AMAZING. The common space had all of the entertainment you could want - pool table, tv, music, board games. Beau, the dog, is friendly but not intrusive, very sweet and quiet. Shelly was considerate and aware enough to ask about food allergies/restrictions and they accommodated our daughter’s nut allergy with great care. Lots of thoughtful touches like phone chargers in every room, snacks and beverages for guests, essentials in the bathroom, etc show how well they take care of their guests. We would highly recommend staying here and this will be the first place we look for when we’re in the area again. Loved it!

We were attending an event at Lucas Oil Stadium and this location was amazing! Close enough but just far enough away you didn’t feel like you were directly down town. Short Lyft ride to where we needed to be. The house was everything described, so cool staying in a historic house. Stephanie really made the stay stand out. She allowed us to check in early, gave us a tour of the entire house and was responsive to our needs. The tea room was stocked with snacks to get at any time and she made an amazing breakfast. Will definitely stay again!

April's place was spotless and spacious. The room was huge and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Bathroom was right next door. She was very welcoming, flexible and accommodating and easy to be around. She also gave me great tips for where to eat and explore in Marion. Breakfasts were delightful and we enjoyed some awesome conversations. I would definitely come back!

The Kintner House Inn is wood and brass in a world of chrome and glass. And has a story or history in every room. And comfortable. And friendly. And, oh, so close to more history, that being Corydon, Indiana. We made the best choice and you will too.
