A beautiful house which has been very tastefully renovated, we especially loved the main stairs. Plenty of space and facilities for 8 of us. Efficient log burner which heated the living room very quickly. We stayed over new year and had hoped to see the northern lights, but saw plenty of stars instead. I would advise arriving for the first time in daylight as the road is very narrow with sheep wandering across.

Beautifully well equipped house. Fantastic library and amusements including a piano if you didn't feel like going out. Everything else you could possibly need provided. Pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The house is situated at the entrance to a lovely park and riverside walk. Would happily return and hope to do so soon.

We stayed in Scott's place at the end of October and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and was well equipped. The location is a little remote and while the bus is a short walk away and taxis are available, a car is really needed. The upside of this is that there are some lovely walks around. Penicuik is a 40 min walk away. I would definitely recommend Scott's house.

The cottage was beautiful and set in an absolutely stunning area of the country. We felt so happy and comfortable there. The host was so friendly and gave us advice on amazing walks in the area. My kids would go back just to see the dogs and the pony.

This is a lovely, comfortable house, tucked into a gorgeous hillside just a few miles from central Edinburgh. Very quiet area, with surprises just a few minutes walk away - lovely woodland with birds aplenty; a "secret" loch with the most wonderful views across a valley to the Pentland Hills; fabulous frogs fringing the loch while we were there. And all just a few minutes - silent minutes, across the hill - from a main road into the big city. Wonderful, and thank you!

We loved the property. Very spacious and well equipped, especially the kitchen. It was a nice touch having the Christmas tree! We also loved the location and enjoyed the tranquility of where the property is located. Hayley was responsive responding to questions and would love to stay again sometime!

Beautiful homely flat, perfect for me and my poochy. Everything was provided for and the space was clean, comfortable and pleasant.

Me , my wife and friends had an amazing stay at Caroline's property @ The Inn. We were celebrating a milestone birthday for my wife and everyone was in awe of how spacious, clean and full of activities the property was. Every room was spotless and the decor was really lovely & cosy. We used all of the activities available but the Snooker Table in the games room was absolutely awesome. Caroline even provided us with two large Bluetooth Speakers that we used all weekend around the house! Caroline is the kind of host you are happy to meet on Air BnB - Kind , Enthusiastic, Informative - willing to go that extra mile for guests. I phoned ahead to ask if she could put up a few decorations for the Birthday celebrations and we arrived to the house totally decorated in Balloons, Banners , Prosecco and Chocolates. Also a hand written personalised birthday note wishing Happy Birthday! My wife was delighted! I would 100% recommend Caroline's property for groups! We will all be back! ❤️ Thanks!

After being let down at another property we contacted Bozena late on Saturday afternoon and a prompt reply saved the day for us. It was extremely clean and comfortable and the small garden at the back was ideal for our 2 dogs. Private off street parking was great too. thanks so much - it was great.

Just spent a restful few days at the caravan at the keep. Virginia was a wonderful host and the caravan was a cosy, peaceful and charming place to stay. The views are breathtaking and there’s everything you could need for your stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the peace and tranquility. I would highly recommend a stay to anyone wanting to visit the area

We really enjoyed Chris's cottage. We were looking for a peaceful and private retreat away from the city, and this place exceeded our expectations. There are many castles and walking trails nearby. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the bath is delightful. This place is perfect for an escape, and we will definitely return again!

I am a writer and needed a place to work after a trip in Scotland. I grabbed this amazing cottage so I could work but also do some walking. It’s a wonderful, intimate place. Comfortable. Homely. Imaginative. The local hotel has a brilliant bar with top notch food and ale. There’s beautiful scenery all around and, while I didn’t travel away from Kirk Yetholm, it’s well placed for all sorts of wonders. If you want peace and quiet with simple delights, this is a near perfect destination. I fully intend to book a longer stay, preferably with company. ♥️

what a lovely place in a really beautiful tranquil location. lots of walks from the doorstep........into Innerleithen and Walkerburn. very clean with everything you could need. Dogs loved the outdoor space and direct access to the River Tweed. will be back for sure. thankyou x

The most stunning setting, with gorgeous walks on the doorstep. Really thoughtful flowers and note for our mini-moon was really appreciated. Lovely cosy cottage, would definitely recommend.

When we arrived at the property, we were greeted by Cameron & given a warm welcome. He shown us around the caravan and how to work the hot tub etc. Inside the property, it is evident that Leanne has thought of everything: books, games, condiments etc. Caravan was clean & spotless and very comfortable. Leanne & Cameron were the perfect hosts, checking in to see if everything was okay and they couldn't have done enough for us! We had a lovely stay & would highly recommend.

Me, my husband and our 3 kids stayed here for 3 nights and didn't want to leave. The house itself was beautiful, welcoming and we felt right at home. We were all together but still had plenty of space for the kids to chill on their own. The hot tub was amazing, we used it loads the whole weekend and the added bonus of having horses in the field right outside was a hit for the kids. Will definitely be back!!

Cosy place, lots of space for dog to roam, and really attentive host!

We stayed at Wester Walston Lodge to celebrate my mums 60th birthday. We had an amazing time and the lodge had everything we needed. We especially loved the hot tub and the private gardens. Would recommend and we would like to return in the future.

Only one thing wrong with our stay. We should have booked a longer stay. This is a place you can truly rest and unwind. I would highly recommend.

It was a great place- in terms of its location, access to the two cities (Edinburgh and Glasgow), the space, amenities, serenity, a wonderful host (who pleasantly surprised you several times during the stay), pets around (there are many including two farm cats which are wild and adorable), bikes to make short rides around, a fully equipped kitchen, a jacuzzi in the open and place to have fire outside. It’s all pros and would love to go back again!

Pam a été adorable avec nous, quelque peu perdues tard le soir dans un pays inconnu elle a proposé de venir nous chercher en voiture, ce qui nous a évité 1h45 de marche en pleine nuit et nous a même apporté des pâtes pour nous remplir le ventre après nos périples. 😅le logement est très accueillant et cosy avec un magnifique jardin, il y a un bus à 20 minutes à pied du logement il est donc facile de se rendre en ville. Le logement est équipé comme une petite maison, c’est pratique. À notre retour en Suisse Pam a pris de nos nouvelles afin de s’assurer que notre retour s’est bien passé.
