We had a weekend get together with somebody coming from the Twin Cities, Janesville and Sioux City….Cedar Falls was right in the middle. The house provided lots of visiting space and great amenities. It was a little too brisk to be out on the patio around a fire at night but as the house is located right on a river that would be perfect too. Loved having the shuffleboard, foosball and beanbag games as well. Loved it and would definitely stay here again.

Another wonderful stay with our kids and grands! Beautiful home and the owners are very responsive and kind. Will definitely be back again!

This was my first time visiting Iowa. The visit was on a sad occasion. Jamie's place was so beautiful and peaceful. So much so that my fiancee and are planning a happier occasion trip here solely because of Jamie's place. Great job don't change a thing.

We loved our stay! It was perfect for a weekend getaway. We came to relax and this was the perfect place. We loved the location where we can hangout outside or inside. You can fish off the dock and bring the boat up to the dock. Sarah was super friendly and responsive. Would definitely recommend this stay!

Great space for our friends to gather. The downstairs bedroom was a little chilly due to the very cold temperatures but warmed up when the thermostat was bumped up a little. Amazing views, would be a great space to rent during the warmer months.

This is a beautiful place! It works great for families. The grandkids enjoyed playing in the sand on the beach and running around the backyard. The firepit was perfect! Everyone enjoyed roasting marshmallows and making smores. We got to see wildlife - squirrels, cranes, geese, ducks, raccoons and a very friendly cat that came to sit by the deck door which all of the kids enjoyed. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay with the family for a getaway weekend! Each of them said what a nice place it was and so roomy. I even had a granddaughter ask this morning if we could go back to the "lake house". Thank you for sharing it with us!

We loved the location. We had a big group and there was room for everyone. We are talking about when we can go back.

My family had a wonderful time at this beautiful, magical farm. We loved meeting the animals and enjoying the outdoor space. I was quite taken with a cute family of ducks who would wander the property, quacking cute ducky things to each other. The weather is still pretty chilly, so we really enjoyed the fire pit in the evening. The renovated milk house space was perfect. There were many small touches that made the space feel personal and comfortable. The kitchen was well appropriated and we were easily able to prepare meals when we didn’t want to eat out. Also! The fresh eggs Susan left for us were next level amazing. We’d definitely like to stay again!

We had a great stay at Spirit Lake at Mama's Boathouse. The place was easy to find and the hosts quickly responded with any questions that we had. Beds were comfortable. It was a great place to cool off after spending all day in the heat.

This is a lovely home in a gorgeous location. I loved every second of staying there and the host is absolutely wonderful.

Tatia was incredibly responsive. In every communication, Tatia was quick to respond and pleasant. She also reached out with considerate suggestions.

Jeff was great to work with. The place worked very well for us - we were there for a sailing competition and had a small motorboat that we used to support that that we kept on the pier. It’s extremely sheltered for that which was particularly great on this trip since a big storm came through one night and I would have been very worried about my boat on the main lake. It would have been nice to have some more chairs on the deck (there are 4) and at the island (there are 3) for breakfast, but that is minor and otherwise the house is well set up and works great as a base of operations for the area. There are indeed 3 real bedrooms as the description list. Often hosts will call something a bedroom that isn’t and we thought that might be the case here from the pictures, but you can trust this description. House is recently renovated inside, and Jeff made a special effort to work with us on questions we had as well as to be sure we were fully satisfied! Great few days.

Awesome house for our gathering of family! We wanted a place to get cousins together in central Iowa, and this was perfect! Tons of games and toys for babies to tweens and adults. Comfy beds. BEAUTIFUL view! We visited during winter and the snow views of the lake were great and the house cozy. Great kitchen to cook in and we enjoyed gathering around the large picnic tables for meals. We would definitely love to come back in summer and take advantage of water fun! Very helpful and responsive host, too.

This was the perfect place to enjoy Big Spirit Lake! The home was peaceful, clean, and comfortable with an amazing view of the lake. We felt right at home and enjoyed the deck, fire pit, and launching paddle boards from the dock. The area was quiet and nice to have the bike trail nearby for walking. Shelley sent us timely and helpful information for checking in and out and was available for any questions. We’re grateful for the use of their lovely home and hope to come back again.

You couldn't possibly ask for a more down to earth, genuinely nice, friendly host. When he came over to greet us shortly after we arrived, I had asked about the fishing. The next day he bought another fishing pole just to make sure my kids had the best experience possible. Highly recommend.

The cabin is very well-appointed to have a relaxing and fun time with kids and adults alike. Jeremy has thought of everything and having all the supplies and amenities and fun stuff you need with a big group was so incredible. The kids kept asking if we could stay longer or come back!

Our party of five adults stayed at Andy's place for a birthday weekend and had a great time. The cabin and surroundings are as described ~ clean, unique, private, quiet. We kayaked and fished in the pond and ate our meals on the deck; we loved the outdoor spaces and appreciated having the kayaks and the fire pit available. We traveled to Elkader and Decorah during the days. The cabin was just the right place to come back to.

This cabin is perfect for summer, and has plenty of indoor space for winter visits. We celebrated with 10 people. The kitchen / dining room is spacious. Hot tub out back had no issues during our stay and maintained temp in 15 degree weather. We used the AirPlay feature in the game room to cast our devices and stream our favorite shows and pictures during our stay. Plenty of hot water for everyone to shower, the dishwasher does take a little longer than others but is absolutely silent. Beds are comfortable, the hosts have provided essentials like towels, cleaning supplies, kitchenware. 5/5 stars.

We loved the place. It is gorgeous, comfortable, cozy and clean. Owners are friendly, flexible and proactive. We definitely will come back.

We had the BEST time. The cabin and acreage were breathtaking. Our kids had a blast playing, fishing, catching frogs and more. The cabin was small but perfect for our needs, we loved the porch overlooking the view. The kitchen/bathroom are very small (historic property!) but well equipped. Cabin stayed pretty cool even in the heat of the day, but A/C is there if you need it. We would totally visit again! Hosts were very responsive and friendly!

I am so happy we chose to stay here!This sweet little place was clean,smelled good,and had all the things we needed for a weekend getaway. It was decorated cute and i appreciated the fall decorations too. Quiet and private but close enough to do all our excursions in Prarie du Chien,Marquette and Mcgregor.Genna was very communicative and I cannot wait to come back and stay again in the future.Weather was perfect and it was a great,relaxing,and memorable stay!

We had a wonderful experience. We felt right at home and didn't want to leave. It was very comfortable and cozy. It had every emenity that we needed. We loved the golf cart and outdoor fireplace.
