Driving up the road to the place was a little different especially at night. But we did get used to it. The nest was beautifully appointed with great decorations that made you feel like you were in a cabin. The place was outstanding, one of the better hosts that I’ve ever had interaction with. A few things that I would add to the property but all in all everything that you really need. The Wi-Fi was a little spotty as I was trying to do some work. Great location in Maggie Valley so close to so many things. If you definitely want to be up in the mountains with outstanding views, this is the place for you. The newly added outdoor fireplace was great to have.

Beautiful cabin, and the hidden waterfall makes the location absolutely worth it! The roads do get narrow and quite steep in the last 20 minutes of the drive, but if you're used to mountain trips, it will feel normal. I visited with my family for a weekend getaway (Feb 21-23), and as we got closer to the cabin, there was some snow. We definitely needed an all-wheel-drive car—I would highly recommend one year-round. Make sure to take the short 5-minute walk down to the waterfall. I found it to be taller than the picture shown in the listing, and it was absolutely worth the visit! Since it was cold, the waterfall was partially frozen, creating a breathtaking view of water, snow, and ice formations. The cabin owner will contact you directly—he is super friendly and helpful. The cabin itself is very well maintained, the view is breathtaking, and you'll enjoy a peaceful, noise-free stay. Make sure to bring all the food you'll need, as the cabin is quite secluded.

Marisa’s house is a beautiful cabin that was worth every penny. It is convenient to Brevard and the Pisgah Forest for the fishing and outdoor enthusiast. Marisa was very accommodating to my group and was prompt to responding to messages. The house was clean and lacked no amenities. The kitchen was well furnished with pots, pans, etc. and linens were plentiful. I would recommend Marisa’s place for anyone hoping to get away and stay in a beautiful part of North Carolina.

Beautiful little house and extremely convenient to Asheville / I-26, worked perfectly as a home base while we were in town for an music festival in the city. The house itself is very new and neat as a pin, quite comfortable for our weekend stay and surrounded by rolling hills of old farmland. We were greeted each morning by deer in the front yard, and enjoyed stargazing under the sycamores every clear evening. One thing to note: although the property itself feels rural, it is very close to a truck stop and the highway, so it's not always peaceful outside; we didn't really mind but something to note for guests who prefer seclusion and solitude. Inside, however, is cozy and well-appointed, with comfy linens and lots of windows to take in the views. We loved the dormer window with views of the nearby mountains that looked like a painting! Would definitely stay here again, especially with the easy 20ish minute drive to Asheville.

My wife and I wanted to have a little get away for our 6 year anniversary, and we’re so glad we chose Julie’s place. It was super pretty inside and out, it was in a very quiet and relaxing area. Not only that but the view of the mountains and landscape from the sunroom, as well as the patio was absolutely gorgeous. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the tub, and how relaxing it was to soak in it. I loved most how Julie is dog friendly and our furry child loved running around in the dog yard. We are most definitely going to be planning to return again soon. This place is immaculately cleaned and pristine! They made every accommodation to help us feel like we were in our own home. I asked about a grill because we wanted to grill steaks out first night and I received a response that they would have one available when we arrived….brand new grill when we arrived ready for use! Who does that? Also allowed us to drop off our bags before we headed out to visit local wineries. They responded immediately to our messages and saved us money at the local grocery store when we bought steaks and essentials. And did I mention that they surprised us with a red velvet cheesecake to help us celebrate two birthdays that week? Who does that? They are the kindest, most hospitable hosts I have EVER dealt with and they have a beautiful place that made us feel like we were at a retreat of our very own! They stocked the whole house with shower supplies and necessities. We hated to leave but are already planning our next visit this summer!

Great quiet place that was perfect for 2 people. Everything worked well and we had no problems except when the power went out for about 4 hours which was due to the bad weather that was in the area overnight. All of the amenities worked. Only complaint was that we needed kitchen trash bags in which i thought was available at the house but the only bag was the one in the trash can. Also, checkout time is at 10AM in which i wish was either 11AM or noon. All in all, i would definitely rebook this cabin. It met all of our expectations.
