this place rocks. it's insanely peaceful and picturesque. the near by town has anything you would need. lots of lake toys to play with. Watched eagles every morning. One of the best bnbs I've ever stayed at. Can't recommend it enough.

Gorgeous property

This was a lovely location. Quiet and peaceful other than airplane drills which was expected. I had not realized that it was a three story place and one guest has bad knees so that was a negative for us. The ground floor has a bedroom (with sliding glass door), bathroom and living area, the second floor has the kitchen, bathroom, living area (with piano) and main entry, the loft has another sleeping area. The kitchen was mostly well appointed. The driveway is a little challenging to see at first but once we knew where it was it was fine.

Very friendly and helpful host. Let us cruise around the lake on his pontoon boat. The place is quiet, had beautiful views and lots of space to relax with family. Thank you!

I had a truly wonderful stay in this charming little cabin. The location was peaceful, quiet, and absolutely beautiful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The space itself was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully set up with everything I needed. Waking up to the view of the bay and the fresh air every morning was something special. Darell and Carlene put care into creating a welcoming environment, from the little details in the decor to how easy check-in was, and they were readily available for anything, I felt right at home. I left feeling recharged and grateful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a serene escape in nature (definitely plan around spending your days at the cabin, everyday was cherished).

This place is very special. It’s like coming to grandma’s house! It has so much personality. If you’re looking for a modern luxurious home, this location is not for you. But if you you’re hoping for an incredibly peaceful place with a jaw dropping view of the Puget Sound, it’s here. From the high point on the expansive property, we were able to get a great view of Mt. Rainier. We could see the Cascades and Mt. Baker from the wonderful windows in the house, as well as boats traveling down the Sound. We enjoyed the comfortable beds and cozy home. We would definitely stay here again!

Anchors Away is a gem! The house was well (and thoughtfully) stocked. We loved the games and the VHS selection - that was a fun throwback to share with our young kids! We felt right at home and had a very peaceful stay. The location could not be better! We spent a lot of time walking and exploring the rocky beach. We caught glimpses of seals and sea lions swimming right in front of the house, and were endlessly entertained by the bunnies in the yard. We can totally understand why folks would return here year after year, and we’re so glad we got the chance to stay here with our family!

We stayed for 4 days and truly found it to be a magical experience. Few things in life match, but here they align pristinely. The photos accurately depict the experience and then some. We had an amazing time at this home and are looking forward to rebooking in the next 6 months. We traveled with our 10 month old and the home came with a pack and play which we didn’t realize until later making this home extraordinarily accommodating. It’s everything you could possibly need. We sat for hours reading, drinking coffee and enjoying the amazing view this bnb had to offer. Coupled with a bbq that they offer and a surplus of appliances we rarely ever had to leave making this an all inclusive experience. We cannot wait to come back!
