Everything about our stay was better than expected. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived quite a bit later than expected, but Todd met us as we arrived and gave us a tour of the cabin. It was beautifully decorated, with comfortable furnishings, and we loved eating breakfast outside on the back porch, watching the pheasants in the grass. Todd and Olivia made a special point of letting us know when the volcano began erupting, so we didn't miss it. It was amazing to get to see that in person.

As we settled into the beautifully furnished home, we were delighted by the special touches that made our stay even more enjoyable—fresh flowers on the dining room table; fuzzy slippers and soft blankets for the chilly Hilo nights; 100% Kona coffee. The house is clean, quiet and close to the National Park and Village of Volcano. Jeff is a thoughtful and responsive host. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Tree Fern Escape.

Great location just a few minutes from the national park. Had a Thai place nearby for dinner we enjoyed. Perfect spot if you want to be near the park.

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb in the volcano area. The setting was incredibly lush—like being in the heart of a rainforest. The hot tub was a highlight, perfectly nestled in the greenery and so relaxing after a day of exploring. The space was very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and had plenty of room. Check-in was seamless, and the host was attentive and helpful. We also appreciated the thoughtful gift of chocolates waiting for us when we arrived. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled retreat!

Home was clean and hosts were very helpful and kind. Driveway is a little difficult to find the first time since it’s a bit hidden by foliage, but it’s very peaceful and quiet. The tile floors are cold, so bring warm socks! Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Such a cozy little tucked away spot! Big windows into the jungle. Super close to the Volcano National Park. Altogether, a magical little place. Be aware if mobility is an issue, there is a short uneven path to the cabin and a narrow stairway to the sleeping loft. Also, it’s cooler at elevation than I expected, bring a sweater! We couldn’t get the fire started at first because the hatchet was missing and the wood was too dense so we were a little chilly.

We were within 10-15min of Volcano National Park and as a result we were able to catch the eruption of Kīlauea the first night we checked in, and then one last time on the morning we checked out! Also, my husband and I felt right at home, were very appreciative of the comfort that the space provided, and how responsive Brenda was! Also, the hot tub was broken and Brenda had an inflatable hot tub in place of that till the new one could be installed. That was awesome! My husband and I used it multiple times and were very appreciative of it being there. Also, having a spot to be able to do my work - dining room table or desk space - was great as I unfortunately had to take my work with me. Brenda is a great host and very responsive to messages.

We had an incredible stay at Robin's cabin. If possible, it is even better than the pictures. It is the perfect setting as a base camp to Volcanoes National Park- just a few easy minutes away. The hosts thought of absolutely everything. The English muffins, butter, and jam were so thoughtful, and the coffee was delicious! My son wanted to move in. I can't say enough good things. We had such a great trip to Volcano (with quite the eruption happening at the park while we were there!) and Robin's cabin truly added to the whole experience. We have moved on to the next leg of our trip, and I miss the cabin. Mahalo!

This house is very close to Volcanoes National Park, about 20 minutes drive, which is a great location. But the rainy surroundings and lots of mosquitoes (please believe me, you should close the door the first time you enter the room). The overall style is very cozy and you can tell the landlord is a lover of life. Also it gets a little cold in the room at night.
