Our time at Davaar was absolutely amazing. The place looks even better than in the pictures. Felt incredibly cosy and relaxed. Toni and Ned are wonderful hosts that made our stay perfect. The cabin is equipped with everything you can possible need. Waking up with those views was absolutely delightful. Our dog was very loved by Toni and Ned and fed him lots of treats that he clearly appreciated. Thank you so much! Ben, Maz & Odin

We had the pleasure of staying on Davaar island over the Christmas period and it was magical! Peaceful, stunning views everywhere you look. Ned was super friendly and helpful and shared wonderful stories with us! The house was warm and cosy, even in 70 mph winds! Bed was comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We took our 2 Burmese cats with us and they had a great time exploring the island. The Jesus caves are a must see! Highly recommend staying on the island if you are looking for a more “off grid” type experience…..

Cross House West is a lovely cottage in a super location for exploring all parts of Islay. It also has easy access to a beach for those stay local moments. The kitchen was clean and tidy and was well equipped with most things - it had an easy to use dish washer and washing machine. It had a comfortable lounge area and although we did not use it an additional upstairs room - probably perfect for kids. The bedrooms were clean, tidy and of a good size. ( one suggested improvement would be to replace the downstairs bed. The couple that used it found it too soft and the frame was squeaky - one ended up on the spare single mattress ) The two bathrooms were also clean and tidy and both had super showers. Iain kindly supplied a welcome drink ( thanks Iain ) and there were stocks of tea bags, coffee and spices to help at the start. If you have not been to Islay please go as it is a wonderful place to visit. Iain’s cottage makes a super base for any visit and is recommended.

The only thing perhaps one can say is lack of a signpost giving exact direction to the lodge. The mobile signal on roads is very poor, hence if it is late in the evening then it could be a problem. Luckily we can when the weather was good hence after a few minutes we could locate it

Great house, great location. Remote yet accessible, with stunning scenery on your doorstep. The Tayvallich Inn down the road is a big plus too, good food, good service.

Fantastic location, amazing house with a bathroom for each room, and a great location - what more could you ask for?

Absolutely amazing 9 day stay during the festival period. We have visited the island several times staying in different parts each time. The furnishings were high standard and the decor very tasteful. WiFi excellent. Would return

Portnahaven est un vrai paradis pour ceux qui aiment le calme et la nature. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le logement qui est agréable, contient tout ce dont une famille peut avoir besoin. La décoration est agréable et la vue est fabuleuse quelque soit le temps. Nous avons passé deux semaines à Portnahaven et reviendrions encore sans nous lasser, ni du logement ni de l'environnement. Nous étions sur l'ile en aout et nous nous sommes promenés sur des plages désertes, avons fait de nombreuses balades croisant seulement quelques habitants. Nous reviendrons très certainement chez Cornalis et sur Islay

Peaceful location, clean and beautiful house. Visited Port Charlotte for an Islay get away with a group of friends to visit some distilleries. It is the perfect house for a nice and relaxing holiday.

Our family really enjoyed staying in Miren's cottage. Every time we opened the front door we could see seals bobbing about in the bay. It was incredible! The cottage was lovely and cosy and had everything we needed. Very comfortable beds with lovely linen. And even buckets and spades on hand too. Would highly recommend. Also we had a very last minute change of plan and it was all sorted well by Miren and her lovely cleaner.

A lovely stay at Birte's place. It was extremely cosy and very comfortable in beautiful secluded Islay. Thank you for being so accommodating!
