Stayed here 3 times now , really great flat

As a hugely experienced (50 +) user of Airbnb all over the UK, this is one of the best, and certainly the best I have stayed in on the Island. Top drawer, high quality accommodation in super central location.

We had a fabulous time Canisp which was a perfect base for our 5 nights on Lewis and Harris. We are a family of five and felt right at home. Great location and beautifully appointed (to use estate agent speak😅). Would highly recommend. Sad to leave the island. Will be back.

We absolutely fell in love with beachcomber cottage. We had a fabulous time. The cottage was very comfortable from the sofa to the beds. Kitchen fully equipped. The garden had a gorgeous view over the water. And the added bonus was that the Stein Inn was only 1 minute walk to get to and the food there was amazing. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone staying on the Isle of Skye. And to top it off we got to see the northern lights on our last night. This was a 10/10 stay for us.

This was my second time staying here and I was delighted to find it available. Flat was absolutely spotless with everything I needed. Fabulous shower and the location is so central. Doreen was very helpful and responsive. Absolutely loved my stay here and will hopefully be back.

Come back and fore to the island to visit family and since getting a dog had to change to a pet friendly place so tried here. The pictures looked ok but when we arrived we were delighted. The pictures don’t do the place justice in how nice and big it is. When we arrived the flat was spotless. Will be using again and recommending to anyone with it with it with dogs as a perfect flat.

Our host Christina was fantastic. She helped us check in with our luggage and was really friendly and knowledgeable. Loved staying in the castle. We are definitely coming back next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our apartment at Lews Castle. It’s spacious and well appointed, very very nice and high end. The grounds are beautiful and the location is VERY close to the town of Stornoway! Thank you!!!!!

Lews Castle was the perfect place to stay on the Isle of Lewis! The apartment unit was pristine and the General Manager stayed for our late arrival. The grounds surrounding the castle are walkable and beautiful. It is an easy walk to downtown Stornaway. This is a place we will come back to. I highly recommend this accommodation for your visit to Lewis! You won’t be disappointed!

Lovely stay in a nice and spacious apartment close to everything one could want to see or do in town - the castle is but a short walk away and having a shop right opposite the place was just incredibly convenient. We particularly loved just how comfortable and cozy the living room was with all of its nooks for sitting and reading etc., it was just lovely staying here.

This is a fabulous place, and once we found it, we enjoyed every minute. The staff is helpful and made us feel welcome. The rooms are large, and staying in a castle is pretty special. My only complaint is that the description of where the unit is located is very misleading. We were told the apartment is "ON the Lews Castle grounds", which are over 600 acres. For travelers like us, completely unfamiliar with the castle, that's very confusing, and an accurate description would be more helpful and enticing. The unit is IN Lews Castle. And it's great!

We had a lovely couple of days break at Ian’s. He greeted us and gave us all the information we would need for a quick check in. If you enjoy quirky, scenic, historic, picturesque accommodation and timeless scenery, this is the place for you. We have two dogs and they absolutely loved it! Great skies at night and the hot tub wasn’t too shabby either. The best quirk is the floating bridge which in certain weather conditions can be fun. It offers a unique and playful side to this wonderful look back to a time when things were “simpler”.

Fiona’s place was perfect for a quiet getaway with our kiddos. No frills, but no frills are needed when the place is filled with such loving touches and warm hospitality.

The apartment was great! It was clean, very comfortable and well laid out, walking proximity to downtown was incredible, and communication with Etta was quick and informative. She was very accommodating and hospitable. We would stay again and recommend to friends!

Beautiful, comfortable room in a castle! Lovely luxurious break from camping. Staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful. Great for exploring Stornaway for a night. Wished we stayed longer!

Great location to the town centre, restaurants and cafes. Beautiful location across the road from the river and castle gardens. Spacious and well equipped flat.

Sandra’s place is wonderful the perfect base location for a great week of exploring. The flat is wonderful a clean and cosy flat with a spectacular view from the balcony. What a wonderful stay we had definitely will return.
