Im ersten Moment war ich etwas enttäuscht, weil das Zimmer kleiner ist als es durch die Weitwinkelaufnahme in der Annonce erscheint. Das war aber schnell vergessen, weil das Zimmer trotzdem gemütlich und sauber ist, Filiz unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit, die Gegend sehr ruhig und trotzdem nah an tollen Restaurants und den Höhepunkten des historischen Istanbuls. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und sollten wir nochmals nach Istanbul reisen, würden wir ganz sicher wieder bei Filiz anfragen.

Cute house in colourful neighbourhood, walking distance to tram. Our family of four enjoyed 3 nights here. House was clean and warm with easy check in. Host even had bread, milk and eggs in store for us on arrival which was appreciated after our long overnight journey. (Supermarket only 5 mins walk thereafter). 15 minute walk (steep hill) to tram then easy access within city. We loved the neighbourhood of Balat, the colourful houses give the area real character. Wish we had a longer stay, lots to see and do in city. If we return we would definitely book same property and would recommend to others. Thanks Ozkan!

Our extended family stayed for a week at Ozkans house Ozkan was very responsive to guide our taxi drive through the original cobble stone lanes. it is an original house dating back to the Otterman era, the house had everything we needed, lots of books washing .machine, well equipped kitchen. The main bed was a bit lumpy but strangely comfortable, downstairs double was ok, the single mattress wasn't so good. The house is halfway up the hill from the tourist area, lots of Cafes etc. Where the houses is,the area hasn't been gentrified. Was a little concerned when we arrived, Taxi driver wasn't enthusiastic about the area. However we found the area safe. friendly. We were a party of 3 women. and 1 man. Plenty of nearby small shops to buy groceries etc. The tram, bus and ferry station are 5/ 10 minute walk away, so very convenient to get to the Istanbull centre, Taksim or 30 minute walk. It was a very interesting enjoyable stay. Ozkan was a very responsive and generous host

Our family of eight adults spent a week in Maison Tomtom. The space was beautiful! Soft lights and music were on when we arrived, providing a warm welcome. Each couple had their own private space and bathroom. The keypad entry allowed us all to come and go as we pleased. Really appreciated the large kitchen table- a great place for us all to gather and plan our days. Asli was able to guide me to a local shop when I mentioned I was interested in buying some of the decor featured in the home. A truly beautiful, unique building that fit our needs perfectly.

Beautiful apartment uphill from the heart of Balat. we stayed for 9 days so plenty of time to experience the neighborhood and the place. It was a pleasant place to stay. We didn't want to stay in the massively touristy areas and experience a little but of the local life and Balat is great for that. The place is set over 4 floors with very steep stairs. be very careful whilst coming down. luckily there's a toilet on each floor. It was comfortable, relatively quiet and safe. We travelled with cabin luggages so very grateful for the supplied shower gel and shampoo! We cooked a little and the kitchen is totally functional as is the washing machine ( although you'll need a but of Google lens translation to figure out the programmes!) Constructive criticism - could do with hooks for the towels in each bathroom and a couple more seats on the terrace. It was a really nice spot to have our breakfast and evening sundowner. Also, no TV unlike what is listed but good WiFi available.

Our recent stay at this Airbnb in Turkey was truly amazing! The location was super convenient—everywhere we wanted to go was just a short taxi ride away. Plus, taxis had no trouble finding the place, which made getting around a breeze. The house itself was spotless! You could tell the host took our request for cleanliness seriously. The place smelled fresh and looked immaculate. The host even provided extra towels, tissues, and bed sheets without any hesitation. The layout of the Airbnb was fantastic: three floors, each with its own bed and bathroom. This setup was perfect for our family, and it would be ideal for multiple families traveling together. The privacy and convenience were top-notch. The ground floor had a billiard table, which was a huge hit with the kids (and the adults!). It was such a fun feature and gave the kids a great place to hang out while the adults relaxed. Finally, the host was incredibly accommodating. Üç aile toplam 9 yetişkin ve bir köpeğimizle, güzel bir hafta sonu geçirdik, Adnan bey öncelikle çok ilgi ve alaka gösterdi, gerekli bilgilendirme ve yönlendirmeleri çok güzel iletti. Kendi evimizdeki kadar çok rahat bir kiralama yaşadık, özellikle bizim gibi kalabalık organizasyon düşüncesi için imkanları ile yeterli olanaklarla karşılaştık. Bizim kiralama dönemi kasım ayında olması nedeni ile ısıtma konusunda endişelerimiz ilk giriş itibari ile daha önce kullanımı olmadığından olsa gerek biraz korkutsa da ilerleyen saatlerde odalardaki ek ısıtıcılar ve soba ile seyahat planımız sonuna kadar ısıtma konusunda hiç bir sorun yaşamadık. Bahçe mangal ve özellikle köpeğimiz için bulunmaz bir fırsat oldu. A three-story mini mansion with an internal staircase, featuring a stunning design and decor. It offers a historical atmosphere where you can fully experience the local life of Istanbul. Right next to the house, there’s a traditional Turkish market where you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables. The house has three modern bathrooms in total, with three toilets and two showers. The area is surrounded by many historic churches and mosques, and it’s one of the most mysterious parts of the Fatih district. In addition, you can reach Sultanahmet and the Grand Bazaar in just 10 minutes by tram, this neighborhood remains one of Istanbul’s hidden gems. It was truly an amazing experience!

Vielen Dank an Sarah für die tolle Betreuung. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 8 Leuten und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. In der Gegend hat es schöne Cafés und kleine Läden. Wir sind auch zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten mehrheitlich zu Fuss gegangen.

Beautiful, spacious house in a nice area of Istanbul. The ferry gets you to the center easily. We had an excellent stay!
