The perfect relaxing cabin. A short drive from gorgeous wineries and a quick walk to a beautiful hiking trail where we found over 12 mushroom species. Highly recommend this host!

We had a great time & really enjoyed the cabin! The place is very nice, well kept, & super peaceful. Of course the best part was the hot tub. It was very clean, easy to use, & very relaxing! We will be back!

BOOK IT!! This cabin was amazing! I rate based on if I would return, and yes, 100%! This place is exactly as described. Its cozy home vibes, very clean, and stocked just right. Its always the little things for me, and everything was though of. When I would think I forgot something, they had it. We got some bad weather so we didnt get to enjoy the outdoors much, or the hot tub (its not covered, which is fine!), but will def be back to enjoy it soon. We loved sipping tea, rocking away on the covered porch, watching the rain and enjoying nature. Even with the bad weather we had amazing internet and not even a light flickered, which made us feel safe. It was close to shopping and stores, but far enough where you get peaceful nature. The houses in the property are also far apart enough where you dont feel alone lol but have a ton of privacy. Allison, the host was also great! Made sure we had all we needed to get there and in. I cant say enough good things about this cabin really. Just go!

The Hygge cabin was private, beautiful and so charming! It was clean, welcoming and was a great getaway from home! We really loved the layout of the cabin, the decor, and the hot tub on the deck was so lovely. I appreciated the framed instructions throughout the cabin, thought it was a nice touch! Overall a very lovely place to stay that my husband and I would stay at again and again!

We loved Elm Cabin! So beautiful and had everything we needed. When I didn’t see a fan in the bedroom, I panicked—I like the movement of air and the subtle sound. Lo and behold, a small fan was waiting for us in the bedroom dresser! The hot tub was a great way to relax after a long day of hikes! We will definitely stay again!

Allison was a fantastic host and had very clear instructions for the place. Felt 100% at home as soon as we walked in to start our weekend adventure!

Allison’s cabin was perfect for our anniversary escape from responsibilities! Only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! :) next time! Highly recommend, the bed was comfy and the salt spa was perfect, and the kitchen stocked well enough for us to cook our own dinner.

Larry was very responsive and accommodating. Checked to make sure we were able to get in and that our stay was going smoothly. Everything was as described with special touches added to make sure we felt right at home during our stay. We were pleasantly surprised when Larry’s wife dropped off a delicious fresh baked good. We will definitely be staying with them again.

Allison is an AMAZING host. From sending a welcome message, to providing site details, and a thank you response, she made us feel very welcomed. The place was beautiful, comfortable, and really fun to stay in! During the storms, we were able to relax and stay safe in the lower level while playing ping pong and darts. You can't beat that! I highly recommend this stay to everyone!!

Perfect place to stay, very well kept

I've stayed here a number of times when spending the weekend at Kinkaid. They make things easy and take great care of their property and cabins.

Had a nice stay at Nikki's cabin with a family for a spring break. We all enjoyed the peaceful surroundings in the wooded area. So close to many lakes and trails! Nikki's place had everything we needed as well as fully equipped kitchen. A snack bar and a coffee was nice extras! We loved wooded detail and spacious south facing patio/porch. Nikki was a caring host and proactive communicator. Thank you for a great stay.

Exceeded our expectations. We would come again. Wonderful layout and beautifully designed and appointed.

It is an older cabin in the woods. Very nice and quiet. We were able to swim and fish in the pond. The kids had a blast catching the bluegill and bass. The pond has a sand beach. We will come stay in some of the other cabins in the future. Tom was always easy to speak to. We did not have any issues that we needed Tom to address.

Larry's place was in great shape, easy to get in, clean and information provided about local sights and restaurants provided. Pictures and description were accurate. We would definitely book this rental again. The cottage was 7-8 miles from downtown Murpheysboro via small country roads. Not a complaint, just a fact. Kids, don't leave your GPS enabled device at home. Jerry

We loved the farmhouse and the vineyards! It was very quiet and peaceful. Watching the wide variety of birds off the back porch was wonderful. The place was clean, nicely decorated, and well stocked. Peter was a great host, very responsive. It was a good time to visit, as the redbud and other trees were beginning to bloom. We’d definitely come again.

We were surprised by the amenities and care that Mary took to get the place ready for our stay. She had all the essentials in case you missed packing something and more. She was very responsive when we asked for dinner recommendations. The cabin is right at the entrance to Godwin trail and 1.5 miles from the cross. It is walking distance to the cross as well.

If your idea of Heaven includes a beautiful lake view in a tranquil setting where you can relax, I have good news. This location is it. Joanna Beth responded to questions quickly and I felt confident that our stay would be a perfect getaway, which was correct. The space was clean, comfortable, roomy, and had everything we needed. The recommendations for restaurants in town were really helpful, and we enjoyed some of the nearby hiking opportunities as well. We will definitely stay here again in the near future!

Just as advertised, hosts were extremely kind and always responsive. Would stay here again!

This was a great place for my wife and I. There are plenty of trails to hike within 20 minutes. One trail basically starts right along the property. Giant City is very close for dinner or many great hikes. There are several wineries in the area and Carbondale is less than 20 minutes away. Having the hot tub outside on the deck was a perfect way for us to unwind with a glass of wine after hiking for the day. There was plenty of privacy. The kitchen had everything we needed. We will keep this place in mind for future travels to this area.
