Margaret is so easy to work with. There was a problem with the house that I originally booked (storm damage I believe) and she moved us to another place.

Our stay at this historic home was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we booked, the host was incredibly communicative, ensuring that every detail of our visit was seamless. Upon arrival, we were welcomed into a beautifully kept home that radiates charm and history, dating back to the late 1800s. One of the many highlights of our stay was the thoughtful breakfast provisions, which lasted us throughout our entire visit—a true testament to the host’s generosity and hospitality. The home itself was spotless, well-maintained, and provided a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The property is also a haven for nature lovers. We were delighted to see deer right outside, adding to the peaceful and serene setting. The location was perfect for our trip to Liberty University for the CFAW event, making it both convenient and enjoyable. Overall, this was an exceptional stay, and we highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and unique place to stay.

Very beautiful house. In a very quiet area. Main Street is close with lots of traffic but the house is quiet. House is very comfortable, and well equipped. We stayed for a week and had everything we needed for cooking, doing our laundry. Lots of restaurants near by, not walking distance but short car ride. Several convenience stores, grocery stores and liquor store near by. my family and I were very comfortable and happy staying here. We will definitely book again if he would have us.

I stay in a lot of AirBnB properties. What a nice gesture to get in late in the evening, kids in tow, and open the refrigerator to find fresh milk for the morning, some bagels, some fruit, coffee and some bottles of water. The house doesn’t have that sterile “everything came out of Home Goods” look to it; it actually felt like being at your Aunt and Uncle’s house for the weekend. Very clean, no complaints whatsoever. Good location, 10 minutes from UVA. Would definitely stay there again, highly recommended.

The Summerhouse was just as described and looked just like the pictures. Its a sweet older home and we found it very comfortable! Angela is a wonderful Host and she went above and beyond in her communications and the extras in the house. We got in late and were very grateful for the Milk in the fridge as well as some muffins and waffles. The coffee bar was great and had all we needed. We were able to start our morning off ready to go. The kitchen is wonderfully filled with all you need to prepare meals. We spent two weeks there and it became a 2nd home. Angela even dropped off some amazing chocolate chip cookies for us too. I would highly recommend staying here. The location is ideal and the views are wonderful!

This was one of the best AirBnBs I've stayed at. It was just as pictured, very clean, warm and peaceful. John and Barb were amazing host that communicated well and responsed quickly. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Irene's Cardinal Cove, and it was overall a great experience! The two-bedroom, two-bathroom setup is beautifully decorated, offering breathtaking views of the lake. Each bedroom provided a peaceful retreat, and the bathrooms were stocked with all the essentials. The kitchen is fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. Irene is an outstanding host, responsive and attentive to every detail. We can't wait to return! 🌊🏡✨

The place is a nice location where downtown is drivable or walkable depending on preference. The kitchen area was clean as was the bathroom. We enjoyed the vibe and would stay here again!

We loved our Christmas holiday stay. It was so easy to come and go and not trouble Bianca and her husband, due to the well lighted, private entrance. Like all other reviewers, we were so very pleased with the extra touches she provided: croissants, wine, snacks, breakfast foods of cereal/oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit. There were helpful signs throughout to let us know exactly how the facility should be treated. The furnniture was comfortable and the kitchen just right for our needs. I was appreciative of the nice hot water for shower and great water pressure. So relaxing. Most of all was Bianca herself, always offering to help (she even helped me load luggage into my car at the end of our stay). A very gracious and giving host. We recommend this accommodation for anyone desiring a comfortable suite and extra T.L.C.

I stayed for an extended period of time (18 nights). I enjoyed my stay--great location, comfy and clean apartment, good mattress, and such a great patio to enjoy nice days on. Stephen was a great host--very responsive and communicative. There was a bit of an ant situation when I arrived and Stephen made sure I had what I needed to deal with the little buggers. I also really appreciated the off-street parking right at the building! Stephen's directions/videos were super helpful in getting all the information I needed to stay at the apartment. Highly recommend and would stay again!

Lovely carriage house on large and private property, very quiet and peaceful. Nikki's home is elegant and delightful. When we arrived it was set up for our arrival with the most romantic and dreamy lighting with music, my husband and I were both delighted!! The apartment style carriage is well decorated with tasteful art and antiques. Nikki and her family were the perfects hosts, ensuring everything we (and our pups) needed during our extended stay. 100% would recommend to anyone traveling in the area, you will be well looked after by Nikki.

From the moment you walk in the door it feels like home. The Barn is such a cozy space, the decor is amazing and the amenities are terrific, they even have 2 types of creamer in the fridge for your coffee. The beds are super comfortable and the linens are so soft. Location can’t be beat, you are so close to all the wineries and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Sue is the perfect host, very responsive and flexible with our later than hoped for arrival and providing a friendly welcome with helpful recommendations. The space is lovely and in a charming neighborhood with cute restaurants and historic sites within walking distance and very close to drive to other area attractions. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would return.

This is my second stay. Kelly, Rick, and Judy (the German Shepard) are all welcoming and friendly. Judy is well behaved and respectful of her human friends. The description of the space and amenities are accurate. I come to Elizabeth City to visit relatives and I will choose to stay here again when I return.

Angelica is an excellent host, very clear with communications and quick to respond to questions. The space was perfect, well equipped, clean and comfortable. There’s a lot of love scattered throughout the space with snacks, drinks, pet treats and other little essentials. We will stay here again….

I visited Elizabeth City for a few days in February and having never been there before I had to idea what to expect. Holly was extremely communicative from my very first question and I appreciated her suggestions for local eateries. It felt like I had the whole place to myself because it was so quiet. I did enjoy my short chat with her husband Michael who was quick to answer any questions I had as well. The room was beautifully decorated, the bed comfortable and the surrounding neighborhood felt very safe. Thank you for welcoming me into your home. If I ever need to visit Elizabeth City again, I will be sure to book here.

Loved our stay at the Graham Ordinary! The location was great, very peaceful and close to many trails for hiking and not to far from the downtown area for food and drinks. Our hosts were very friendly and gave us recommendations for nature activities and local spots to grab a bite! They also gave us the pleasure of sampling quite a few of their delicous Meads that they make themselves! 10/10...highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay here again if we are in the area :)

Jo Ann’s place will make you feel welcomed and at home in Clifton Forge. Host was kind and willing to take me in and show me around this cute quaint town. I definitely hope to return to the Red Lantern Inn again soon. I fell in love with the town and hope to return as often as possible. The bed was incredibly comfortable. More comfortable than Hilton beds, I must say.

Wanda was the absolute best! We’ve stayed at many places in Lynchburg over the years. The Acorn Hill Lodge will be our go to spot from now on. From the super amazing cozy king size bed, to the absolutely delicious made to order complementary breakfast to our pup being welcomed like a member of the family. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Oh, and the spa!!! My daughter had the full body hot stone massage and was in heaven!! This place is a must!!

What a fun stay! We got to witness the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen here. The animals on the farm are so friendly. I was able to take my dog for the stay and he met bigger animals for the first time and they became friends instantly. I loved what they have done with opening up the family farm to enjoy. It was very personable and they made us feel like family. The homemade country breakfast was also one of my favorites. We were visiting the area hiking and decided to stay since it was a few hours away and I am glad we were able to stay here. Although our visit was short, it was sweet. Thank you for welcoming my family.. beautiful stay.

I had a great stay at the Fairhaven for one night while visiting UVA. The room was clean and private, and Raven and Flame were both warm and friendly. I appreciate their flexibility with my check-in time. The house is on the other side of town from the college - something to be aware of for guests visiting UVA. There is a bus you can take to bring you to the center of town. I would definitely recommend the Fairhaven and felt it was great value for what I paid.
