Our weekend was amazing. The main floor is large and very open and made it easy for our group to hang out and eat together. The lake is literally just 25 feet or so away from the house. It is February, so we were mostly inside, but quite a few of our high schoolers did jump in the water a few times for a polar plunge. Great value in the off season, great house, and great hosts.

Jessi’s Air bnb exceeded my expectations! The house its self was beautiful, and the inside was very well kept up! The back deck made the perfect lounging area, as well as the boat dock! We enjoyed lots of sunshine at the dock! Jessi’s communication was amazing, checking in on us, keeping up to date and her response time made questions answerable within minutes! The location of the house is 15 minutes from restaurants which made it very accessible! The house is perched back into a cove, which made it very peaceful and relaxing! I would highly recommend Jessi’s air bnb!

We we're looking for a place to unwind from the Christmas holiday season. Ross's place gave us just that. The cabin was quite and right on the lake for some much needed RnR. There were beautiful sunrises and sets each day. We explored one of the local wineries, breweries and a few of the local restaurants. We hope to return over the summer months to enjoy the lake and activities the area has to offer.

We had a great stay at this beautiful house! It’s just as lovely as the pictures show. The house was spotless, the bedrooms were cozy and comfortable, and the kitchen was impressively well-equipped . The surrounding landscape is breathtaking, we kept imagining how amazing it must be in the summer. we highly recommend this property and would gladly stay here again!

We had a great stay and enjoyed the spaciousness of the home. It was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the upper deck as well as the fire-pit and patio. We all agreed it would be fantastic to stay in the summertime.

This was the perfect place for a few days on the water. The house was very clean and very private. Great fire pit area and deck area. Having boat launch access 1 minute away was a major plus! We will be staying here again I'm sure many times. Also David was great at check in and communicating throughout.

We all enjoyed our stay at the lakehouse from young to old and very particular teens in between! We loved the bedroom setup with the built in beds upstairs and the spacious and comfortable rooms to relax in. The open concept kitchen and dining and living room was great with a beautiful view of the property outside. We had tons of fun in the game room and had some great family pool time. The hot tub was a real treat and felt very relaxing. The teens loved the kayaks and took them out to explore the lake for a few hours. The area is very quiet and serene and the people in town and at the nearby state park are very friendly. All in all this was very satisfying as a family winter vacation and the kids are already asking when we will be going back! Thanks for sharing this amazing property with us.

We were in Clifton Forge for Uncle's 90th birthday--which happened to turn out to coincide with fall leaf changing season. We tried several other apps for hotels, bed & breakfasts, and were pleased with location of apartment not only in regards to where our uncle lived, but the downtown activities, art studios, and restaurants. Also, very nice for finding places to walk or run, whether you wanted to do the hills or stay in the flatlands along the river and train tracks. Turns out Shauna knew one of the cousins who lived and worked in town. We were also pleased with some of the extras like organic cream, eggs, and a variety of teas, coffees, and single service protein bars, cookies, oatmeal, and Halloween candy.

Would highly recommend for a quiet, relaxing weekend. This was a repeat stay, and everything was just as nice as the last time. Quick communication with Gwendolyn was appreciated, and everything we needed was available or offered.

Staying with Mr Jane was a pleasure. The location was perfect, the apartment was cozy and spotless. The place was well-equipped and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. This is a peaceful downstairs apartment with private entry and beautiful backyard with swimming pool. Mrs Jane was always available to answer our questions. unforgettable experience! Highly recommended!" 

Alice made sure we had a great and safe trip, even though EC got hit with several inches of snow! Alice made sure our walkway was clear and that we had everything we needed. Our only real concern was that the floors got very cold, so if you visit in the winter bring plenty of socks and slippers! Overall we would definitely recommend staying here both for the view and for Alice’s hospitality.

My sister and neice and I stayed at Key To Stay's condo for 2 nights in February. I had previously stayed at that same condo in November. I originally gave this condo a great review, which is why we rented it again. This visit had a few maintenance issues, but they were eventually resolved and Key To Stay made sure to reach out to me personally to make sure we were satisfied. I do appreciate their commitment to making sure they improve the guest experience. I will definitely be staying here again after the wonderful customer service. The location is beautiful, the lake view can't be beat. The area has some great places to eat also.

My daughter and my self found Sofi's place very good. It is clean, comfortable , quite neighborhood , very nice to stay in, close to shopping centers. Sofi is a very helpful host. Thank you Sofi.

This was our second stay in this lovely place. Just perfect for the two of us and loads of character. Beautiful farm setting.

We stayed the week of New Year's day and found Joyce and Eric's home to be a perfect distance from Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. Additionally, we enjoyed the view and serenity of the lake to take the edge off from the crowded parks. It is a perfect retreat for relaxation and I was able to take so many landscape and nature pictures. There are 2 docks and a great assortment of kayaks to enjoy. I would definitely recommend this place for any season of the year.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The property is absolutely beautiful, the space was immaculately clean, and we had everything we needed to feel right at home. Can only highly recommend Anne’s spot. It would be our pleasure to visit again in the future.

I have traveled many places and stayed at many Airbnbs, but this was by far the best one. Numerous thoughtful touches, amenities, and things to do. The host was an awesome communicator and was helpful every step of the way. I absolutely recommend if you’re visiting the area!

Lovely place, well appointed. Nice bedrooms. Nice touches like throw blankets. Very tasteful decorating. Was great for our girls retreat of knitting and sewing and chatting! Comfortable and cozy.

We needed a place to chill and unwind and this was it! Not much to do this time of year but we didn't care. We loved every minute of our time on the island. Everyone was so friendly and we felt right at home. Beautiful sunsets and delicious catered meals. Thank you!!!

Charming house on the water in an equally charming town. We came because we had a family event in Elizabeth City, But would be a wonderful longer stay for family. Hope to come back. Linda was very helpful.

My husband and I visited for a little anniversary getaway. We brought our old pup and she loved laying on the deck, looking out at the water. We got lucky to have a beautiful weather weekend with temps in the 50s. We enjoyed the fire pit at night and opening up the living room doors for a nice indoor/outdoor feel. The home is located in the woods on a quiet street so I took some nice morning strolls with our pup. We went into town for coffee and takeout dinner and enjoyed Carolina Beach which is dog friendly in the winter and a short 25 min. drive. The downstairs bedroom stayed warm even with the barn style doors open, dropping the ac temp, and running the ceiling fan. The mattress was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for the meals we cooked in. We would definitely return again!
