The Airbnb was perfect! It was super secluded, which was perfect for getting away from everything. There was so much fun stuff to do - we loved hanging out by the fire pit at night and my son loved the zip line. The fishing spot was great, and my son had a wonderful time with his grandfather fishing. We also went hiking and explored the trails around the property and seeing the horses. The whole place was just so peaceful. Matthew was quick to answer our questions; communication was great! The best part was that we had everything we needed right there, so we didn't have to worry about forgetting anything. We had such a great time that we're definitely coming back. It was like the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation all in one spot.

10/10 would stay again. Close enough to village center to be right there for the 4th of July parade and close enough to be at any number of local destinations in minutes. Exceptionally charming house, felt right at home.

We came to the wonderful spot to celebrate our birthdays. Everything was amazing. We brought our dog Boo and he had fun playing and running in the snow and walking on the trails. We will be back!

We had a great time at this location. Our host, Margaret was extremely helpful and welcoming. The house and the property were beautiful and what we were looking for. We had plenty of space for our family to celebrate the holidays. Margaret was very responsive and kind when we had any questions. She even brought a family member's lost coat to the house when a business called her about it. She went above and beyond. I definitely recommend this property and the host.

Peggy was an amazing host. We stayed in the lower level of her guest house which provided great privacy and short walks to a few restaurants and bars. Very nice view of the river just outside the front door!

What an amazing place!!! It looks exactly like the pictures and hasn’t the coziest atmosphere with so many amenities. The hosts were incredible- going above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay. We will definitely be returning!

We enjoyed our stay at the Lake House! The inside felt like a cozy cabin with plenty of space with two beautiful bedrooms. It was peaceful to be near the lake and hope to come back in the summer with warmer weather!

The property was easy to find and an easy drive to Chestnut Skiing. The decor is perfect and welcoming, reflecting the out-of-doors environment and landscape. The kitchen is well stocked for preparing family dinners. We had everything we needed.

We loved our recent stay at a beautiful home in the Galena Territory. We had eight people, and this home had four bedrooms and four bathrooms, so this worked perfectly. We enjoyed the natural wood burning fireplace in the evenings, the games they had at the home, plus a bottle of wine provided by the hosts! The location was beautiful, especially with all the snow they recently received. We saw eight deer running in the woods across the road. The hosts were very accomadating and welcoming and answered questions we had immediately. As guests, we had access to the owner's club, which had an olympic size pool, a room with a pool table, ping pong table, and shuffleboard table. Our grandkids and all of us enjoyed this club very much. The house is in close proximity to Galena and Chestnut Mountain ski resort, as we spent a day shopping in Galena and a day skiing. It was nice to stay in the country outside of busy Galena. We all loved the house and loved our stay!!

From the moment we walked in, we immediately knew the place was perfect. We had a larger group- 5 couples, so the fact that we all had our own bathroom was huge! Lia is the perfect hostess and addressed any questions we had right away. Even going as far as offering to have a microwave delivered next day when the one in the house wasn't working properly. We will absolutely be booking again with Lia on our next trip to Galena!! Thank you for all you do and going above and beyond our expectations!!

We all enjoyed our stay here. The house was big enough for 9 adults to be in comfortably. Everything we needed was in the hose for a wonderful stay. Being able to use the Owners Club amenities was amazing.

Great place to stay and for a great price!

Rosebud's place was great! We enjoyed the fireplace and she was able to provide extra fire starters for when we ran out. We brought along our dog and crated him while we were gone exploring Galena. The place was exactly as described. I went with my husband and wish we could have enjoyed the patio area but it was freezing cold out. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was a good size and we enjoyed the soaking tub. Would stay again!

We have stayed at Stacy's many times. It is such a cute townhouse with the space really utilized well. It is very comfortable, and Stacy is a great host and communicator. My husband and I love the location, and we stay here whenever we have the chance. This time we brought our small terrier, and he had a great time as well. We highly recommend!

We felt like we were in a snow globe! The home was beautiful. The town is adorable. Beth was incredibly responsive and helpful! The place was amazing! Perfect for our girls trip!

Stayed for a long weekend with three friends! Such a wonderful quiet and cozy place to stay! Nancy was very responsive and friendly! The house was clean and the natural light was so wonderful. Would definitely like to stay at the Piccolo House again!

A beautiful place with lots to do. From the fishing pond to the fun stiff in the basement to the great outdoor space, my family had a wonderful time.

This was our second time staying at Zoe’s cottage in Galena. We love being able to travel with our dog and this location was so close to downtown Galena. The cottage is cozy and everything was as expected. We’ll be back again.

Great location! The porch was where we spend most of our time at the house. The inside was clean and well decorated and furniture was very comfortable. Everything that we needed for our get away to Maquoketa Caves. Definitely worth the trip! Watching the Mississippi River was great. Awesome place to stay! Thank you!

Usually I write short reviews, but this one was so awesome I'll be effusive-- 12/10! Best Airbnb we've ever stayed at (and we've been to very many). I can't name it all but whatever you want they have it. Like...waffle iron, waffle MIX, butter, milk, coffee, tea, juice, excellent filtered water, and tons of snacks? Sound machines and extra chargers? Toothbrushes in case like us you left the ENTIRE toiletries bag at home? Beautifully renovated, a piping hot rain shower and all spotlessly clean somehow ON A FARM? Check! There were so many books, toys, dvds, high quality art supplies and games that we could have been snowed in for a month with our 3 kids and never run out of entertainment-- no exaggeration. Highly communicative, kind, and attentive hosts on a 175yo farm, who will give you an hour-long tour if you ask ahead, introducing every animal by name and breed and letting you feed them treats (Teddy the Great Pyrenees and Sparkles the pony were favorites). Great wifi too! 10 stars!

The Merry Mansion was perfect for our family; we had several people staying, but were able to host some additional local family members for meals - a huge kitchen provided plenty of space for meal preparation and the two dining rooms provided more than ample space for enjoying our home-cooked meals together. The decor is lovely and there was plenty of space for privacy in bedrooms or socializing in the two living rooms. It is conveniently located to both Dubuque and Galena and walkable to establishments in East Dubuque. Corey was wonderful, a proactive communicator and very responsive to questions; he was available at check-in to provide a very helpful tour of the mansion, as well. We will be back again for another Christmas celebration!

Perfect location! The owners were EXTREMELY responsive. They troubleshot things in a few minutes and we had a wonderful time. I strongly recommend this property when visiting Galena.

We had the BEST time. The cabin and acreage were breathtaking. Our kids had a blast playing, fishing, catching frogs and more. The cabin was small but perfect for our needs, we loved the porch overlooking the view. The kitchen/bathroom are very small (historic property!) but well equipped. Cabin stayed pretty cool even in the heat of the day, but A/C is there if you need it. We would totally visit again! Hosts were very responsive and friendly!
