Paul was so quick to respond to any questions I had. He was also very friendly and helpful. Heavens Gate, WOW, the name says it all. The cabin is so beautiful and very well decorated. When you first walk in, you're on the second floor. There's large sliding doors that lead outside to the deck that has the most amazing views of the lake. It is truly breathtaking! They have a very well equipped kitchen. It has a regular pot & a K-cup maker which came in handy. There are games, tv, great wifi and an awesome hot tub! The hot tub was hot and clean. We quickly unpacked, made a mimosa and jumped right in. That view, also amazing! The Wifi worked outside to play tunes while we soaked in the tub & amazing views. The road was scary for this FL girl, but you do get use to it. Also deer walked around the house and we saw an eagle. The beds were super cozy and there were plenty of dressers to unpack. The master shower was so nice. I can go on and on... just book it, you will not regret it!

We can’t say enough good things about this magical place! Our family of 5 vacationed here and our kids got to experience snow for the first time! We got so lucky, being from FL. Everything was perfect on the farm! The animals are the cutest and so friendly. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We had an amazing time and we didn’t want to leave lol. We will definitely be back!

The house is such a gem!! It was perfect for our family of 9 for Thanksgiving. We could have never left the house our entire trip because the main level is so cozy and comfortable. There is plenty of games and puzzles to keep everyone entertained. My son loved the little nook area with the bean bag. There is plenty of space to spread out with the 3 different living room areas. If you want a good workout - go for a walk! The house is at a higher elevation in the neighborhood, so you will have to walk down and back up. We hiked to Laurel Falls - that was another workout! Be prepared to drive a little ways to the grocery store. We brought most of our groceries but needed a few things and the next town is 25-30 minutes away. (Of course, there is always Dollar General that is closer!) Not many places to eat out. The first night we went to the Trading Post and the food was good and the people were so friendly, we stopped back in on our way out to say goodbye!

The house is very spacious and even nicer than it looks in the photos. It was nice having the space upstairs to play games. The kitchen is large and well stocked. The bedrooms were very quiet regardless of what else was going on in the house. It is located in a private, quiet area with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. While the location is pretty far away from shopping and winter activities, the drive was pleasant and scenic. I highly recommend this home!

The cabin was beautiful, with amazing views. We went for Thanksgiving week & while there were some places that were closed around the lake due to the holiday, there was still plenty to do & enjoy. We drove into town for groceries & firewood & had a lot of fun making fires in the fire pit. The kids went kayaking & fishing at a few spots on the peninsula. They caught a few fish. We went hiking nearby & also rode ATV’s at Roan Mountain. We took our two dogs & they had a great time exploring the property & taking long walks with us. The weather was great, we even got some snow flurries! I was able to make an entire Thanksgiving meal in the kitchen. The beds were comfy & the bathrooms were clean. The cabin is spacious enough where we could all hang out together or retreat to our own spaces. Jenelle was great, too. We communicated during our stay, she was attentive ans responsive. We are so happy for the memories we made at the cabin & hope to make it back soon.

Beautiful cabin, responsive host, games on site that we loved, great fireplace, kitchen very well equipped w/ spices etc. Bathroom is sparse, two rolls of tp and no shampoo/conditioner. Roads were totally impassable so we had to cut our trip short and only stayed one of the two nights we booked. We thought 4WD would be enough, but your really need chains if there's anything on the road; the neighborhood isn't plowed or salted at all. Host did recommend both 4wd and chains.

This is a wonderful place. Love the cabin and the area around it. We would stay again for sure.

We had a great time at Martina's place. She communicated very well, the place was just as described and we found it very easily. When we got there it was 17 degrees out and we intentionally picked a cold weekend in February to get away for a couple reasons - we wanted to be able to see the sights without a lot of tourists and we wanted to get some time alone and unplug. Martina's place was warm and cozy. It gave us great views of the mountains and everything not only worked great, but better than I could expect. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you need for a couple or a family to enjoy the cabin. The driveway is a little steep, but our 2WD truck did great on the snow there so don't worry about getting to it. The stores are about 15-20 minutes away if you want a full compliment of items so be sure to take most of what you need when you visit. Don't be afraid to stay in the winter time! Martina was a great host and we would stay there again! Worth it!! Thanks again!

Absolutely stunning home with breathtaking views! Super clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Perfect for a peaceful and relaxing getaway in the mountains. Highly recommend!
