Maison Zen is a rare gem! We enjoyed our stay immensely and we would most certainly like to visit a 3rd time in the near future. Perched on a mountainside with a spectacular, unobstructed view of Lake Cuyamaca and surrounded by beautiful pine and oak trees, Maison Zen imparts a sense of tranquility, privacy and of being immersed in nature. Neighboring, distant homes are out of sight and the area is very quiet. The homes interior is extremely clean and modern. The decor colors and textures mimic those found in nature and as a result, the home imparts a sense of well-being, serenity and comfort. The HVAC system works perfectly to keep you warm and toasty, there is more than enough hot water and the bed is very comfortable. The host, Nancy has thoughtfully and generously appointed the kitchen and bathroom. All appliances are high end and work perfectly. Nancy was very kind and responsive and she went above and beyond to provide us with timely information.

We had an amazing time during our stay. The house is beautiful with great views. There are many windows and glass doors to embrace the outdoors. The house is very homey and the decor is very nice. The beds are extremely comfortable and the linens are very soft. We had everything we needed for the whole weekend, the house is fully stocked. The hot tub was a hit! We wish we could have stay longer.

The house was incredibly homey, with comfortable and clean beds. There are plenty of great restaurants in the area, and it's conveniently close to freeway entrances and exits. The hosts were very reliable and responsive, greeting us with texts to explain how everything works around the house. Their thoughtfulness was evident, as the house had everything we needed, and we didn't have to buy any extras. They even provided snacks! One thing that stood out was their honesty. My 15-year-old daughter left her Lululemon wallet with her debit card in it, and they immediately contacted me, offering to mail it to us the very next day. How awesome is that! Thank you again for letting us stay at your beautiful house. We definitely highly recommend it and will certainly stay there again!

We had a perfect stay at this Airbnb! Our group of five felt right at home, thanks to all the thoughtful details throughout the house. The space was beautifully designed, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The highlight was definitely the rooftop—the breathtaking view made our stay even more special. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing getaway!

We were able to visit the Tortoise and the Hare for a weekend retreat getaway and it did not disappoint! The serene feeling you get of being disconnected while also having all the necessary amenities was unreal. Each room was as described, if not even better! The heater and air conditioning worked well depending on the weather and the rooms provided ample amounts of places to sleep. We were able to utilize to Sauna as well as the other games and kitchen amenities. The hosts were very responsive and cooperative providing a seamless weekend for us to enjoy. They were also very accommodating to our additions of guests for the stay which was very helpful for our team We would 100% come back again for a beautiful time taking un God’s creation!

Tucked away in the quiet hills of Julian, I found a place that felt like a secret meant just for me. From the moment I arrived, the world seemed to slow down. The house stood surrounded by whispering trees and open skies, a calm oasis far removed from the noise of city life. Privacy was the first gift it offered, no neighbors in sight, just the soft rustle of leaves and the occasional call of a birds overhead. Stepping inside, I was immediately struck by how clean and thoughtfully maintained everything was. The home felt like someone’s cherished gem, generously opened up for guests to share in its comfort. The space was beautifully simple yet welcoming.

Great stay! The family + dog enjoyed our stay. Elyce is a great host and her house is comfortable and welcoming. The kitchen has pretty much anything you need and the space is great for dogs. Bonus, we got to meet and feed her cute miniature horses! Would recommend in a heartbeat.

Great spot for a weekend getaway! Dawn was helpful and responsive to all my questions. Perfect little cozy fireplace inside, first room you walk into is wonderfully welcoming. and the space is split into a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette style set up. Loved the beautiful tile mural in the shower. Clean bathroom! Just 3 helpful notes for curious travelers: 1) Dawn gave perfect instructions for arrival, use them! I would advise arriving during daylight hours because the last mile on the farm is a bit of a narrow wraparound. 2) We ran into a few other folks on the working farm, no big deal! Be advised that there are multiple units on the property and animals that like to say hello! Specifically, whimsical unit has three units attached (each private) but if you’re looking for absolute isolation just note you have neighbors upstairs and might have some on your left. Not a problem for us! 3) If cooking your own food note you’ve got a smaller compact fridge not a full commercial!

We stayed for 2 nights and had a great time - it was close to everything we wanted to do. We look forward to returning.

The only issues i experienced were that a window in the bathroom had been left open so it was cold in the home. The host responded immediately and brought extra blankets and turned on the heaters. Additionally, the Wi-Fi wasn't working and could not be found on any of my devices. To be fair, I did not notify the host since I was able to sign in to my Netflix account on the TV and had data on my phone. I plan on staying here again on my next visit to Poway

I truly recommend Rashmitha's space, super clean and quiet, just 5 minutes walk to the main street of Julian, we had an incredible time as a family, it is 20 minutes from Mount Laguna.

Good place to stay the week in San Diego! Would stay again

The Airbnb was beautiful! James and his co-host quickly responded within 1-5 minutes. I would not mind returning to this beautiful place it felt like home.

The rental overlooks gorgeous rolling hills and has balcony space on two sides with phenomenal views from the many windows. The host was very communicative without being intrusive and it was a very quiet and peaceful stay. We also appreciated the little touches to make it feel more comfortable and homey like the plants and paintings.

This home was perfect for our intergenerational family gathering. There was space (and enough bathrooms) to accommodate all of us without being in each other's way but also being able to gather in our larger family group when needed. The location with views of the mountains was relaxing and reenergizing for the holiday with family members coming from all over. Although there were various spaces throughout the house, the kitchen area was a definite gathering space and accommodated well for people to be together and doing different things: cooking and preparing a meal, sitting and chatting, working on a laptop, reading in the family room not too far away. I appreciated the communication prior, throughout, and after our stay.

Wonderful, quiet location! Loved walking around the neighborhood and seeing the big horn sheep. Comfortable beds, lovely clean home, kitchen very well stocked. We ate in most nights and the kitchen had everything you could want to prepare a meal. We would definitely come back. Ryan and Darnie were very responsive to our inquiries...very gracious hosts!

This home exceeded all my expectations! Everything was perfect for a group - from plentiful towels and outlets, lots of seating, VERY clean and super cozy! - This house is so beautifully decorated, and the backyard is amazing! Just the perfect place to be with family and friends. Sebastien provided very detailed and clear instructions, was very responsive and friendly. I will definitely come back for my future family stays!

My family and I stayed at the Olive this week for 3 days 2 nights to attend a family wedding nearby, it was so much fun we wish it could’ve been longer stay. Elizabeth is a wonderful host, very professional, responsive and patient. The house is huge my toddlers loves running around it. The house is beautiful as well, the master bath could’ve use a privacy option and bidet for restrooms but it doesn’t take away any star as they exceed in other areas such as hospitality. I don’t usually leave a review but this one deserves 5 star. Thank you for wonderful experience.

This stay was beyond my expectations. The comfort of the home, the surrounding area, the beautiful views and peacefulness. It was all amazing, didn’t want it to end.

Absolutely loved our stay! The space was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere. The location was perfect—close to local activities but still quiet and relaxing. Eric and Neda were incredibly welcoming and exceptional hosts. Highly recommend!

Life is about making wonderful memories for yourself and others. And Vita Bella certainly did that for us and our families. Sue and Dennis were terrific throughout our stay and were very accommodating to our requests. The property was outstanding from the house itself to the backyard oasis to the front porch sunsets. Absolutely stunning.

We simply felt at home! Beautiful property with many amenities! Pool, hot tubs, pool table, bbq and bidets. Great touches all around, kitchen had many extras like small appliances and big pantry area. Beds were very comfortable with clean & fresh bedding! Many TVs and great WiFi all around the house. My family enjoyed the entire weekend and we would definitely stay again! Many thanks
