Dejligt fredeligt sted, men fantastisk udsigt. 2 min. gang til næsten privat strand. Vi nød virkelig tiden og det rolige liv på altanen. Samtidig var der lidt adspredelse med dart og bordtennis i garagen, et hit for vores teenager. :-)

An amazing location with absolutely stunning views of the harbour. Well equipped. Lovely deck. A short but steep walk is well worth the effort for a relaxing drink watching the harbour. Non members welcome and great food. Some stunning beaches nearby for Ollie’s dog walks. Julia was very responsive to our messages. Highly recommended.

A very special place to stay, the architecture is incredible. A quiet, peaceful place to stay with walkway access to a small private beach. We will be back, thank you to the owners for sharing their home with others to enjoy. Felt like home. We could have stayed all year!

Home away from home. Lovely surroundings, set off the road & private. Good sized bedrooms, big bathroom and separate toilet, spacious kitchen & great indoor outdoor flow. Kitchen had everything we needed, large fridge etc. Our kids also enjoyed having the area in front of the garage to bounce the Basketball. The place looks better than the photos.

Te Whare was awesome, a great spot for a holiday and a whare full of aroha great for Whanau to enjoy thanks so much & hope we can stay again one time 🤍

We were heading right up the top of the North Island so Amanda’s place was convenient and we stayed a night to get closer to the cape before we headed back down to another town. It was private and very peaceful. The road a little bumpy but the place itself great! Thank you very much for the stay 😊

Jo’s Kiwi Oasis was exactly as listed—lovely, clean, and well-maintained. The host was very responsive, and we were grateful to secure a last-minute one-night stay. The kitchen and bathroom were well-stocked with ample amenities, making our stay comfortable and hassle-free. Would recommend!

We were six couples who had a thoroughly enjoyable break from city life for 5 days. Used it as a base to do day trips to go fishing, trip to Cape Reinga and Kerikeri. Big comfortable home and friendly responsive host

You can’t go wrong with this sweet 2 bedroom home. It felt like home. It was completely comfortable and perfect for what we needed. The grounds are amazing and lit up at night. Yummy fruits to snack on. Oh! And the wonderful items left for breakfast. Diane is so kind and helpful. We could not be more happy to have stumbled on this fabulous Airbnb.

Delighted to have found Joanne’s studio in Pukenui. Ideally situated for Cape Reinga (less than an hour’s drive) although the surrounding area is beautiful, well worth chucking your boots on and going for a wander. Joanne made me feel so welcome, providing a generous breakfast basket and a touching handwritten card. The studio is well equipped for every eventuality and so peaceful, I slept like a log! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We came up from Auckland for a wedding & the property was local to everything The property was great and both Rob & his wife were lovely. We barely seen them so we decided to go say hello down at their Phat House bar in haruru. We had a couple of nephews come and visit while we were up aswell . Catching up with whanau and coming back to relax there was lovely .

This is very nice place to stay. A quiet area with some good walks. My situation was a little different as I wasn't on holiday and wanted somewhere quiet and reasonably close to the hospital where I was visiting my husband each day. The property is off the road and there are auto gates. As I was on my own this made me feel very safe - on top of which Genevieve was in the main house a lot of the day. It was comfortable and cosy (given my stay was during the winter) and Genevieve and her husband went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Thoroughly recommend and if I ever need to be in Whangarei for any length of time I hope I can use this accommodation again.

Vicki hosted me, my partner and our cat as I had business to attend to in Whangārei. The place was just as described in the listing with clear instructions and prompt communication which suited our needs. Vicki was also understanding of our travel arrangements and was able to accomodate our added request which I appreciated. I didn't get a chance to write in the visitor's book but I sure would've shared the same positive feedback. A highlight for me was seeing a kererū in the tree (which I don't get to see in Auckland). Our cat had a blast and was settled.

We had a lovely 5 night stay here. A very cute kiwi Bach, with superb views. A short walk down easy stairs to the beach was an added bonus. The Bach is set back from the road so was very quiet and peaceful. 😊

The Beach Bum is a quirky and wonderful experience. From local recommendations before we arrived, the incredibly close proximity to the beach, to the amazing sleep we had under the stars, it was ideal. The accommodation itself is a caravan with a kitchen and bathroom attached to it. It is built in an enclosed area which provided privacy and shelter from the wind. There is no roof cover between the caravan and the bathroom but wasn't a problem for us. The double bed in the caravan was really comfortable. While you could have 3 staying, it would be a bit crammed. But as a romantic getaway for 2 it was more than ideal. The highlight was the skylight above the bed. It was magical to fall asleep under the bright stars and then be woken up with the slowly rising sun. The bathroom was modern and clean. The kitchen, complete with a bbq, was basic yet functional. Tokerau Beach is my new favourite beach. Expansive, deserted golden sands, warm calm water. We will definitely be going back.

This place is a slice of paradise, photos don't do it justice! So peaceful! We swam lots of times, the beach is very sandy and the water was very calm. Took advantage of the provided kayaks as well and then went up to the pa site above the cabin, which had stunning views. I hope to come back one day!

We loved staying here because of the facilities, outlook, and the openness of the living area. All the benefits of camping with the positives of being in a house! It is an amazing place with some really well thought-out touches such as the solar lamps, compost bin, recycling, outdoor washing-up area, extra space for parking, and the hammock. Sarah is a thoughtful and helpful host; she suggested places to visit, including the Butler Point Whaling Museum and Rangikapiti Pā, which were highlights of the trip.

Had an amazing stay at this Airbnb in Shipwreck Bay! The location is unbeatable—right by the beach with stunning ocean views. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Perfect spot for surfers and anyone wanting to unwind by the water. Highly recommend!

It was lovely stay. Very quite and peaceful place. We got all we needed for 2-day getaway :)
