Great place and Pataua is magic. Graham's place is terrific and kept meticulously. It was peaceful and well appointed. Very functional and well supplied kitchen and great grill on the lovely deck. We were only able to stay a couple nights but this was a great spot to see Pataua from.

A special tranquil gem with lakeside access! A very private and quiet place to ‘just relax’ and recharge. I had a fantastic nights sleep and sat outside in the morning sun enjoying my breakfast. Chloe the Lab popped by to make sure I was all settled in (beautiful). The place is very well set up, well equipped and so very private and relaxing. Thank you Christa & Hank. One of our best AirBnB experiences! Beautiful location close to the river, friendly hosts, outstanding amenities and facilities and easy access to the town of Waipu and the nearby beaches. We only wish we had stayed longer! Would highly recommend.

Jeannine and Allan were so friendly and welcoming. Upon arrival it felt like you were welcomed into their home. The room was completely separate, bed was large and comfy, shower hot and kitchenette included extra touches we didn't expect like cereal and milk. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We loved our couple of days at Pataua North with Glenda and Jim - they're right on site so met us on arrival, showed us round and Jim baked us delicious ginger crunch as well! The beach is just there and having a choice of body surfing in the waves or gliding in the estuary with the stingray a few meters away was perfect. The bach was so clean with very comfortable beds and everything we needed. Perfect for a weekend catching up with our very good English friends - lots of eating, drinking, laughing and playing games. Thanks Glenda and Jim - we loved our time at Linga Longa!

Andrea and Mike were very kind and responsive. The couple run the place rather efficiently and respond to the customers' requests very quickly. We found that the ensuite bathroom was a little smelly and the hosts were trying all their means to eliminate the odour for us and even offered to switch to another available suite for us - surely they care for their customers. Thank you Andrea and Mike, we had a great time at the kohinui cottage! Kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the hot tub, amazing place to be!

This is one of the best airbnbs I’ve stayed at. Situated on the coast of some of New Zealand’s best beaches, the property has easy walking access to a small private beach or enjoy Matapouri which is only a very short drive away. The property has every thoughtful amenity you may need which was so helpful if you want to bbq and eat at home. It’s fitted out to a super high standard with comfortable beds, linen and a great shower. It’s immaculately clean, nestled in stunning surroundings. Our host Angela continuously went above and beyond to offer the most outstanding service including fresh tomatoes from the garden and baked birthday muffins for my friend who was celebrating. If that wasn’t enough Angela offers massage therapy from her home which was reasonably priced and out of this world. A truly relaxing place, gorgeous quality and phenomenal host, I hope I can return to enjoy again!

Stayed here as I worked at Northport for a few days and it was a gem. Watched the sunrise, very peaceful and amazing views! Comfiest bed, so clean and has all you need if you like to cook your own food. Thank you much, would definitely rebook and recommend to friends and family!

If all Hungarians are like these hosts, I might just pack up and move to Hungary! From the moment I arrived, they didn’t just welcome me into their home—they practically adopted me. Incredibly kind, ridiculously accommodating, and willing to go above and beyond to support my project (which, let’s be honest, is not in most Airbnb host job descriptions). Their generosity and warmth made my stay unforgettable. 10/10 would come back just for the company—oh, and the accommodation was great too!

Fantastic spot with fantastic hosts, very nice stay

We had a large extended family, who all felt at home in the spacious building with an amazing history. Minutes away from amenities and historical sites. The old building was warm and homely. The communication cable was severed in the region, this didn't impact our check in and everything ran smoothly. We had constant hot water which never ran out even with our large ground. Kids spread out either upstairs or around the table, drawing, laughing and enjoying each other's company. We would not get this in a small hotel or motel. The kitchen facilities in both wings were the right size and equipment worked well. The dining space was perfect as there was enough room for cooking and eating. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Whare Tapu.. Thank you to our hosts for helping us create a memorable family holiday and to learn about our family history. Cheers!!!

I took my wife for our wedding anniversary, and I can honestly say this was one of the best air bnbs we have ever stayed. The place is amazing, with a resort feel to it. But Jodie really made the stay. it really did feel like a home away from home. We did some yoga which I have not done before, and it was truly wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome. little touches really made it a memorable weekend. Thank you so much Jodie :-)

Absolutely loved our stay! The place was perfect, clean, cozy, and in a stunning location. The hosts were great, gave us complete privacy while still being available if needed. Waking up to those views was a dream. Would definitely come back!

Die Unterkunft von Paulette und Diane ist makellos sauber, wunderschön. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung liegt ausserhalb und man braucht unbedingt ein Auto. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und wir empfehlen die Unterkunft ohne jeden Zweifel.
