We recently stayed at this Airbnb for an autumn vacation and, overall, it was a pleasant experience. The house is clean, well-maintained, and the location is convenient for exploring the area. The amenities provided were more than adequate, and everything functioned as expected. One thing to note is that the hosts live on-site, which isn’t necessarily a problem, but their presence was definitely felt compared to other Airbnbs we stayed in so far. Nevertheless, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a well-kept, dog friendly space with hosts who are nearby to assist.

Πολύ ωραίο δωμάτιο με καταπληκτική θέα πάνω στη θάλασσα!! Η γειτονιά έχει τα πάντα και μπορείς να πας παντού με τα πόδια.

Abbiamo soggiornato le prime due settimane di ottobre e non posso che fare una recensione super positiva di questo posto. Casa molto bella e accogliente, con una vista mare meravigliosa, non puoi non svegliarti bene! Posizione ottima per raggiungere varie mete in macchina, oltre che ad essere a soli 20 minuti di macchina da Chania. Siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi dalla bontà e dalla gentilezza dell’host, mamma di Gorgios, una persona davvero di cuore e molto disponibile. Ci tengo a dare un consiglio a chi andrà in futuro in uno di questi appartamenti : di avere cura dei gattini che girano lì, sono dolcissimi e una carezza in più fa per loro la differenza ♥️ Noi tutte le sere gli davamo da mangiare delle scatolette di carne. Non potendoli salvare tutti, nel nostro piccolo si puo’ fare la cosa più giusta per loro!

Tolle Unterkunft, schöne Sicht über die Bucht von Almyrida. Wir waren zur Nebensaison dort und konnten diesen (angeblich) touristischen Ort ohne großen Trubel genießen. Mit dem Auto und auch zu Fuß sind viele Ortschaften, Tavernen und Strände erreichbar. Die Unterkunft ist größer als sie auf den Bildern wirkt. Das Highlight ist natürlich die Terrasse mit der Hängematte. Die steile Auffahrt ist wirklich kein Problem, wenn man Autofahren kann ;)

Εξαιρετική τοποθεσία,είχαμε πολύ εύκολη πρόσβαση με θέα την θάλασσα και πολύ καθαρό δωμάτιο.!

Our time at Theodoros' place was wonderful! Right on the water and beautiful view. The jacuzzi was wonderful! Theodoros and his mother helped us beyond expectation. They had great recommendations for meals. The place was a beautiful and cozy place to stay.

What an amazing place! Ioannis has thought about everything you could ever need and it is there!! Every thing was immaculate, beautiful white linen, beach towels, the best kitchen ever. Ioannis very thoughtfully had provided large bottles of water and fresh fruit in the fridge which I thought was wonderful. We had a problem on arrival which was sorted so quickly, thank you Ioannis! We have been to many Airb&bs and this was the best. So near the sea and fantastic restaurants, i miss the wonderful food! Thank you so much for our wonderful stay

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez Georgios. L'appartement est à deux pas de la plage, vous trouvez des restaurants et commerces dans la rue ou à 300m dans le village. Les chambres sont très spacieuses (plus grandes qu'il n'y paraît dans l'annonce). La terrasse est très agréable et le parking gratuit est juste a côté. Les serviettes de bain et de plage sont fournies. Nous avons trouvé que Kalyvès est bien situé pour visiter l'ouest de la Crète. Nous reviendrons !

The perfect house, in an amazing location. Fani was lovely, and there to welcome us even though we arrived very late, close to midnight, due to flight delays. The house is very well equipped with everything one could need, not to mention beautiful and very well-appointed. And did I mention the location? Incredible - garden gate literally opens on to the beach. Ideal for midnight swims under stars. The garden itself is lovely, spacious, green, with mature tamarisk trees (one hung with a hammock that is the perfect place to dose off to the sound of the waves), plus a wonderful barbecue. Kolymbari is a lovely village, not too over-developed, but with plenty of delightful tavernas and bars and cafes, a marvellous gift and trinket shop, boat hire, and the beautiful monastery of Panagia Odigitria. Our party (of 6) agreed this is probably the most perfect place we’ve ever stayed.

Great stay at the apartment just a few steps from the coast, nice little bar restaurant even closer. Minutes to the harbour. Interiors were very well done with loads of character. Exactly what we needed - thank you

We really enjoyed our stay in Villa Thetis. The space is decorated beautifully and very well equipped. The service was outstanding, a kettle broke and it was replaced instantly, we also requested some shade for one of the windows in the bedroom and it was installed the day after. Only tiny downside is that we we did not have sun in the terrace as it was behind the building, but this is because we rented in October, it is probably different during summer times. There is the beach just in front to enjoy some sun. Would highly recommend this place!

We had a fantastic stay at Seaside Villa Lavrys. The villa itself is spacious, well-maintained, and located in a peaceful area with a lovely view. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, but do keep in mind that you’ll need a car to get around as the location is a bit remote. Taxi transportation from Chania costs around €30. What truly made our experience special was our host, Alex. From the moment we booked, Alex was incredibly responsive and attentive, always available to answer any questions we had. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay, offering great local tips and assistance whenever needed. His kindness and willingness to help made a huge difference in our trip. Alex’s family was also very warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly stay in Crete, and Alex’s hospitality made it even better.

An amazing stay at a gorgeous house on the beach - a pleasure to watch your kids play in the sand while you sit on a private terrace just above. Restaurants (and the people running them) were absolutely wonderful. Its a small area, detached from the city and large tourism projects elsewhere. But Marathi Beach has everything you need for a very relaxing and enjoyable visit. My only comment is that the home lacks an indoor livingroom / dining area. It didn't bother us as we happily ate at the covered outdoor table or sat by the beach in the covered loungers - but this may not suit someone looking to relax inside in the late evening

The Airbnb was everything we imagined and more! the view with the little private enterance to the sea Is Amazing, and one of the best spots to snorkel that we found in the area. Everything was clean, with plenty of towels and sheets as well as extras for summer vacation such as beach towels and snorkeling masks. the kitchen Is well equipt and comfortable for cooking, with wine and fruits gifted at our arrival. Olga and her father were very kind and helpful with everything, we absolutely loved our vacation and hope to come back.

My boyfriend and I visited during Christmas time(2024). She had filled the apartment with Christmas lights and decorations, which after a long day of traveling, immediately put us in the holiday spirit. She was very easy to communicate with and after learning of my boyfriends love of pizza she provided us with a personalized list of the best pizzas around town. There was also a booklet in the apartment with a rundown of the city(history, restaurants, sightseeing, etc) which is helpful to anyone visiting from another country. Would definitely come back to Chania as well as this apartment! Thank you Katerina!

Chrisi ist eine hervorragende Gastgeberin! Sie war jederzeit hilfsbereit und immer gut gelaunt und freundlich . Die Wohnung ist perfekt für Ausflüge , aber auch perfekt zum Strand um die Ecke. Dazu ist alles vorhanden , was man zum Leben braucht und es gibt sogar eine kleine Flasche Raki im Kühlschrank zur Begrüßung. Wir werden wieder mal hierher kommen!! Brigitte und Peter

Valias place was amazing ! We dealt with her mum Katerina who was super friendly and always on the phone if I needed anything. Perfect location with stunning views of the Venetian port . Everywhere easy to get to. The beach about a 30 min walk and a beautiful one at that. Highly recommend and are looking forward to booking again nxt year 😀

Wir waren vom 6.10.-12.10. bei Nikos in der Unterkunft. Der Meerblick war toll. Abends haben wir das Meer rauschen gehört. 2 Minuten zum Strand. Das Wasser war klar und angenehme 25°. Am Strand waren nicht viele Leute, eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Insel bietet viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, die Altstadt von Rethymno ist allein eine Reise wert. Die Preise sind ok. Die Griechen sind nett und gastfreundlich. Nikos war zur Stelle, wenn wir ein Anliegen hatten. Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Diese Unterkunft können wir empfehlen👍. This apartment really was a highlight of our stay. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay lovely - When we arrived there were fresh flowers, biscuits, Jams, butter, coffee, cheese, fruit and water! Made us feel right at home. Perfect location, quiet and very safe! Only 15/20 mins to walk to the old town, we love a walk - it’s right along the coast too! The area is away from the hustle and bustle so it’s nice and quiet, you can hear the sea, which is so peaceful! Overall, amazing! Genuinely the best host we’ve had!

Amazing host, a small apartment in the perfect quiet location just next to a small beach. Love it a lot as it was not touristic. And there is free parking next to it which is even better. Highly recommended!!!! Definitely will come back to Crete <3

We really enjoyed our stay! The appartment was even bigger than it seemed according to the pictures. Everything was clean and cosy! Although it was the end of the touristic season, we’ve enjoyed Rethymno and its surroundings. The only downside was the noice at night, so we couldn’t sleep with the windows open, but there was airco available.

Sehr nette, blitzsaubere Wohnung in schönem, lokalen Viertel. Das Meeresrauschen ist von der Wohnung aus zu hören. Die Promenade ist sowohl Richtung alter Hafen und Innenstadt als auch in die andere Richtung toll zu laufen. Die Dachterrasse war auch im November perfekt zum Lesen. Christina war sehr freundlich, einfach zu erreichen und hilfreich. Wir haben die Zeit bei ihr sehr genossen und würden bestimmt wiederkommen! Danke!
