great location, super quiet. could use more heating in the winter (bathroom & shower cold), but would totally stay again!

Our stay was flat out wonderful- a very responsive host with very clear directions, lots of nice extras and a beautiful space that was perfectly located for sightseeing in Kyoto with easy access to the train and subway. The large whirlpool tub is a welcome necessity after visiting arashiyama and other walking heavy tourist locations! The kitchen was well equipped with a grocery store within a 5m walk, perfect for cooking your own wagyu dinner like we did. I would highly recommend this stay in Kyoto!

Eri was so beautiful! So helpful and the way she showed us around the home and her attention to detail was phenomenal! I even asked to stay an extra day because kyoto became my favorite place in all of Japan! Coming to Japan i was a bit disappointed with Tokyo, but i am so grateful for Koji and Eris gorgeous home and their recommendations. We rented kimonos and spent the whole day visiting local shrines and temples, all within walking distance. It was such an amazing experience. I will be coming back next year and am going to spend my entire vacation in Kyoto. Hopefully I will be able to stay at Tsubara house again!

Very nice place with clean and hot tub including place! Drinks, gifts, and quick communications are great to feel welcome at place.

L’appartement est très bien placé, proche d’un métro et très facile d’accès. Il est également très spacieux, nous avons passé un excellent séjour!

Yumiko nos ha recibido muy bien. Es muy amable, atenta y se preocupa mucho porque sus huéspedes estén confortables. El alojamiento nos ha gustado mucho y está muy cerca de la estación de tren, lo que facilita mucho moverse por la ciudad. Volveríamos sin dudarlo.

Great Machiya stay with a traditional feel, but with modern amenities such as heated floor! Also perfect location to explore Kyoto. Tokuji san was always very responsive during communications. Overall, highly recommended!

Stayed in multiple Airbnbs throughout Japan, and this location was by far the BEST! It accommodated my family of 7 plus my 1 year old. Perfect location to walk to several restaurants, bus routes, and train. The decorations and the small detail made the place even more special. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Enjoyed every moment.

Mio was the best host we've ever had on Airbnb. Her communication was perfect from pre check-in to checkout. Mio came to meet us at the train station and helped us to her beautiful house. We had just got engaged and she had lovely flowers for my fiancée. The house had everything we could need - we felt right at home here. It's a 30 second walk to a well connected subway (less than 5 minutes to Sanjo bridge) and just next to the beautifull Kamagowa River which is great to cycle with the provided bikes. Mio also drove us to the station at checkout which saved us so much time. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in Kyoto. This is a must book house for anyone coming to Kyoto.

The host communicated well and helped us find the place when we got lost. It is very close to Kyoto station. It is also very clean.

Yamano-san is one of the most helpful hosts I've ever had the pleasure of having. He sent us a complete house guide with directions to get to his place (with photos of every turn), how to use the appliances, and how to dispose of garbage. Japan has strict rules on garbage disposal, so that was essential information. He alsobmet us at check-in to show us everything. He responds to messages immediately and came when we needed help with the water system. We came during cherry blossoms season so everything was just wow! Crowded but beautiful. Good thing Yamano-san's house is in a quiet area even if it is less than 200m from a train and bus station, and from a convenience store. We were even able to walk to the iconic Togetsu-kyo Bridge. Bonus: He is a setai (body adjustment) doctor. He treated two of our group and they loved it! We definitely recommend staying there!

Uzu was a great hostess, very welcoming! To an extent that even when we arrived, there was a chalkboard that she wrote “Welcome” and then our names! My friend got injured before our stay, and she was very understanding and let us arrive later than planned🥰 She was always available when we had a question, and she even made us gifts to remember our stay. To everyone considering booking this Airbnb, think no further! Uzu will make sure your stay will be unforgettable!

Such a lovely stay in Kyoto! After the hustle and bustle of Tokyo (and tiny hotel rooms), it was so nice to have a beautiful, quiet, calm space to spread out. A quick walk from the train station and the most perfect backyard is waiting for you with the nicest soaking tub. We ended up doing less than planned so we could enjoy the space more.

We stayed in Jinn’s place for a few nights with our family of 4. The house is located in a calm area of Kyoto, bordering the forest. Only a short walk from a Main Street with busses, so very convenient. Jinn’s communication was great and he gave us many tips on what to do and where to eat. He met us personally on arrival and check out and even did a mini photo shoot of our family in the garden! The house is authentic Japanese style - which was new to us and a great experience. Especially the Onsen bath, low dining table and beds on the floor, together with the Japanese furnishings and art / decor were really nice. The house was clean and well equipped. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!!

Great Inn for 3 families. So much space for us to spread out. Walking easy to the stations. Great amenities. Beautiful peaceful garden to relax in. We loved it.

This is a beautiful old house in the best area of Kyoto. Beds and pillows were comfortable. I will come again if im in the area.

Resi Stay Yasaka An is and excellent two bedroom place. It is small but very efficient and very very quiet, especially considering the closeness to so many highly trafficked tourist areas. The place is romantic and exquisitely designed. Perfect to have 2 bedrooms for ourselves, and our 14 year old granddaughter. The bathroom facilities were beautiful, washing machine à plus, too,

Wir waren im April 25 bei Asami in Kyoto zu Gast . Man bekommt das was man gebucht hat - ein traditionelles kleines japanisches Apartment. Uns hat es sehr gefallen . Das Appartement ist klein aber funktionell und bietet alles was man braucht . Es war alles sehr ordentlich und sauber als wir ankamen. Wir wurden vom nahegelegenen Bahnhof abgeholt und zum Appartement gebracht ( vllt 10 min Fußweg wenn man sich Zeit lässt) . Man wohnt in einer ruhigen Gegend, die wir direkt in den ersten Tagen zu schätzen gelernt haben - es ist nicht mit Touristen überlaufen. In unmittelbarer Nähe sind Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, tolle Restaurants, ein Park und ein schöner Schrein. Uns wurden tolle Ratschläge und Hinweise zu Besichtigungen gegeben und Fahrräder zur Verfügung gestellt. Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit- gerne wieder.🙇‍♂️🥰

Can't beat the location if you want to visit Mt. Inari before or after the crowds. Since the grounds are open 24 hours, you can walk over anytime, day or night. And although the shops and shrine facilities are only staffed from about 9am to 6pm, you are free to walk the torii gates anytime, and it's absolutely surreal after dark. Also right next to a nice bridge over a picturesque river, and very close to a 7-11. Inside, the place is very nice, and certainly would stay there again.

Logement très propre et très confortable. Le quartier est sympa, des restaurants, un family market à proximité et le métro. Nous avons passé un super séjour !

非常满意这次的民宿体验，Harry的房子太优秀了，上下两层，休息和休闲空间分开，配备了投影和音响，房屋内的灯光设计也非常温馨。房子本身是非常传统的日式民居，有一个精致的小院子，同时配置了非常现代化的家电系统，很方便。 Harry本人很nice，来公交车站接我们，还推荐了非常地道的日料，下次来京都会再来住的！

Very spacious guesthouse that could fit 5 people every comfortably with living room, dining room, and kitchen. Sadly only 1 separate bathroom and toilet but we were okay with that as we only had 3 pax. Toilet was also located at level 1 which was less convenient when accessing from the bedrooms at level 2. Stairs were pretty steep too so we had to be be careful. Basic toiletries were provided (towel, shampoo, etc), except for toothbrush and toothpaste. Overall great stay and great value. Only 3mins walk from kintetsu Jujo station. Host was very quick and kind to replace the spoiled kettle. We had a very comfortable stay.

Le meilleur hôte Airbnb que nous ayons jamais eu ! Mitsuo a vraiment été adorable et serviable. Il s’est soucié de notre arrivée pour pouvoir venir nous chercher à la gare de Kyoto et lors du départ il nous a déposé à la gare également mais aussi il nous a aidé dans nos démarches pour pouvoir faire envoyer nos valises à notre prochain hôtel. Le logement est assez accessible du centre ville par les transports en commun, il est propre et spacieux. C’est une maison traditionnelle qui permet de vivre comme un vrai kyotoïte pour un rapport qualité prix imbattable. Nous avons suivi les recommandations de Mitsuo en allant au sento le plus proche et nous le recommandons également. Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable dans ce logement et grâce à Mitsuo. Merci infiniment !

A very convenient while peaceful place to stay for Kyoto exploration. We stay for 4 days, have our much needed rest, and love the place. Highly recommend if your group is looking for a traditional experience.
