Decided to treat myself to this unique experience for my birthday. This place was wonderful. David was super accommodating and thoughtful. He sure made my special day extra special. Weather was not the best, but it was not obstacle for our experience. I also suffer from motion sickness but with some Dramamine I had no issue. I look forward to staying at Camp David again. Thank you, David.

Suann’s place is simply charming. You can feel the love and care as soon as you cross the threshold. The pictures actually do not do justice to how cozy and welcoming it is. Suann was the most accommodating host we’ve ever had. She left us snacks, chocolates, coffee pods, candles, and plenty of essentials that most hosts do not. The neighborhood was quiet, with the occasional train, which we loved. The location is close to beautiful hiking trails with a gorgeous view of the river. Thank you Suann - we felt right at home!

My buddies from High School and I get together every year for the state basketball tournament, this was our second time staying at this location. We couldn’t be happier. Place is huge, with plenty of room and very open. Very easy to get around downtown Charleston. Great front porch with a nice view of the river. Big TV’s, and a great kitchen. We absolutely enjoy this place. Very accommodating for the 6 of us. Rodger is the nicest, easiest to work with owner that I’ve ever dealt with. Nothing but good things to stay about him. Extremely quick and responsive. Worked with us on early arrivals. Just an overall great experience once again. Already looking forward to next year.

Great place to relax and recharge. Neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. The scenery was beautiful and not a far drive from New River Gorge National Park. Definitely plan on staying again. Shirley Beth was a great host and responded very quickly to my questions :)

My family and I (three kiddos) really enjoyed our stay. The fenced in backyard felt safe for them to run around. Fun toys available inside and out. Nice to look at the river out back. Cool shower. Comfy beds. Really a lovely little place and check in/check out was super easy. We would love to stay here again when we’re in the area.

Cute apartment! I stayed there in the winter, but the proximity to the river would be great in warm weather. I appreciated having access to extra towels. The corner shower may be challenging for people with a big frame.

I stayed a few days with 5 others and having two living rooms and 3 bedrooms (TV’s in all!) allowed for privacy and lounging. We weren’t on top of each other. 3 outside areas to sit and chat lent to the living space (2 covered). Everything needed to cook home meals was there. It’s an older home but was just as pictured except for the star on the front of the house. It was clean and the beds were so comfortable. Truly felt like home away from home. Susie was proactive and responsive to all communication. She was also gracious enough to allow us to check in early which was such a blessing considering the weather and unforeseen travel issues. I would definitely recommend and will return if available.
