Jane’s place is situated up a hill outlooking a beautiful hill and seascape. The beach is approximately a km walk and is small,unique and safe for fishing ,snorkelling ,kayaking or for little ones to swim .. can get very crowded in summer or on public holidays ,but other times you can enjoy the beach almost to yourself.. plenty of squid from the jetty and lots of interesting history. The home is a comfy beach shack and feels homely.

Very welcoming and nice place to stay! I would recommend for a nice getaway as it’s not far from the city! Host is very polite and helpful with anything required! Would stay again!

The Summit House was incredible—beautiful views, super clean, and felt really welcoming. It had everything we needed and just the right cozy vibe for a relaxing weekend. We loved how quiet it was, but still an easy drive to trails and good food. Definitely one of our favorite Airbnb stays—we’d come back in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay at Sam’s place. Island Beach is absolutely stunning, so peaceful and quiet and private, but close enough to Penneshaw and activities to keep us amused. Authenticity Beachhouse was so well situated, with great sea views, and had heaps of space and amenities perfect for our family of four…with an extra room to spare. Sam has thought of everything, and we loved all of the little extras he provided that helped make our holiday more fun - boogie boards, snorkel equipment, beach chairs and tent, lots of outdoor and indoor seating, plus the Hamptons style decor was so lovely. Thanks for a really lovely stay Sam. Our kids have already asked when we are coming back to visit again!

Photos do not do this beautifully well loved family home justice! The serenity, open spaces and gorgeous wrap around verandah were just perfect. Fully enclosed yard for furbabys, with beautiful grass and lots of trees for shade . Inside extremely clean , compfy, and if you have forgotten to bring something for a cook up in the spectacular kitchen, it will be in the cupboard! definitely one of the best dog friendly air bnbs I've stayed at . the walks around the property were also fabulous 😍

We staying in Normanville recently for a Nippers Carnival and had the best weekend away. The beds were comfy, house clean and well maintained and our host was super responsive to our messages. I would highly recommend this place to others for a family weekend away. The gaming table and large lawn were hits for our kids. Thank you

Plenty of space in this house - large bedrooms and tv in main room. Missed not having electric blankets or a dishwasher but the house stay warm enough with the heater in the ceiling of the main room. Interesting how both the main bathroom and ensuite were at the same end of the house. A secure backyard if we had taken our dogs with us. No beach view but lovely to see/hear a variety of birds.

We loved the Sky House for a weekend getaway. The views are stunning , it’s ideally located for Snelling Beach and the Fig Tree restaurant which is just down the hill, and there’s a fun record collection. At night the stars were spectacular.

Such a cool place to stay after the ferry ride in our rental car. So clean and such a nice hot shower in the tiny house. Great location to launch our day trip in KI!

Absolutely beautiful, unobstructed views of the sea. Olga’s home was extremely clean and uncluttered. We had everything we needed to cook up a meal. The Brewery was very close by, as was the Surf Club - both great for a pre dinner drink. We loved that we could walk from the beach at Carrickalinga to Normanville and have a coffee at the cafe, then walk back. Our sunset views from the terrace were beautiful and we saw a few kangaroos near the house too. We all enjoyed our stay!

This Airbnb is an absolute gem! If I could, I would give 6 stars out of 5. It is located in a tranquil coastal community with amazing wildlife. You will see koalas on the trees right in front of the house, kangaroos hopping in the back garden, and echidnas trying to find food in the front garden. I should also mention the amazing starry sky. Nevertheless, it is only a short drive to Kingscote, which is the biggest town on the island. The Airbnb itself is very spacious and has a beautiful sea view. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and has everything that you need. And when I say "everything", I really mean "everything"! It's not the typical Airbnb kitchen, which has all the basics, but you could tell that Herb really made an effort to equip the kitchen as if it were your home. Herb himself is an absolute gentleman, who welcomed us personally, showed us around and helped us a lot to plan our stay on the island. He provides a lot of local information and is lovely to talk to.

First time traveling to Kangaroo Island as a family and Kate and Andy were phenomenal hosts. Lucky for us the shearing was taking place and we were able to show our 2 year old the sheep getting a “haircut” Access to the two private beaches was explained to us on arrival and that made our family memories even better than planned. We will definitely be back to visit 10/10

A beautiful, well thought out property in easy reach of Second Valley beach. Unfortunately for us, the weather turned bad but it meant we got to enjoy more of the house! Libby is a great host, responsive and clear in conversation. Highly recommend A Stone's Throw.

Great location with views across the paddocks towards Nepean Bay. A central starting point to head off exploring the island or locally for a meal.

Thanks Jane, we had a wonderful stay. The kids adored the outdoor bath and Zooper dooper surprise in the freezer. We loved the garden and time spent reading in the hammock in the garden and watching the sunset and stars from the balcony at night. Thank you for your generosity, the place was perfect for a few quiet days by the beach!!

Our stay at the Sleepy Hollow near Stokes Bay KI was wonderful. We chose the place based on the location as we were spending time with friends who were staying nearby but were pleasantly impressed with the high standard and cleanliness of the accommodation. It is beautifully and tastefullly decorated with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The hot tub was a lovely addition! The location is quite remote and you’d need a car but it’s only a 5 minute drive to gorgeous Stokes Bay. I would recommend a visit and will stay again in the future.

We had a really wonderful stay. Sue was incredibly helpful and accomodating. The house was beautifully presented. Plenty of inclusions, that made our stay really comfortable. The location right on the beach front was lovely. I enjoyed looking out from the large front deck every morning. We were sad to be leaving, but will endeavour to return one day.

We had an amazing stay at Ludere and would highly recommend! Carla was fantastic in her communication and incredibly responsive. The home was furnished beautifully and had so many extra little touches to make you feel right at home. Great size for a large group with multiple living areas. The outdoor area was fantastic to sit and take in the beautiful surroundings and spot the kangaroos. Will definitely be back!
