We were six couples who had a thoroughly enjoyable break from city life for 5 days. Used it as a base to do day trips to go fishing, trip to Cape Reinga and Kerikeri. Big comfortable home and friendly responsive host

We had such a great time at Chloe and Ben's. It was clean and spacious, 1 min walk (if that) to the estuary and five minutes to the lovely surf beach so you could visit several times a day. It didn't need to be a big complicated affair as it was so easy to nip back to the house for food etc. The shower was awesome - very strong pressure. Everything was provided - linen, blankets, pillows, glasses, cutlery etc and all in great condition - and the kitchen was well equipped, including dishwasher and lots of good pans. Loved that we could eat outside on the deck, there was a fenced yard for the dog to run (he was in heaven), plus a trampoline, barbecue and fire pit. The view from the deck was stunning, and the overall vibe of the place was so friendly - from other holidaymakers with kids to the people working at the campsite. Would definitely book again.

We had such a wonderful stay here. It’s in a gated community and we always felt safe. Hamish was very accommodating and did a great job of making our holiday as seamless as possible. We loved the pool, spa, trampoline and basketball hoop. Everything about the house is well thought out (and beautiful). The airbnb is in a private and peaceful area, and a 10min drive from the town centre. It felt luxurious staying here and it was definitely the relaxing holiday we were hoping for!

Loved our stay - fantastic view, beautiful terrace for enjoying dinner & breakfast overlooking the bay ... comfortable bed & very comfortable sofas for relaxing in the evening! Super responsive hosts ... The kitchen had everything we needed for self catering for 3 nights; having said that, don't miss the Mangonui Fish Shop (fabulous snapper & chips). Cable Beach & Cooper Beach were both beautiful for a walk & a swim ... the highlight of the area is Maitai Beach & Karikari Beach on Karikari peninsular (about 30 minutes away). Would definitely recommend & would stay here again. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Duncan and Linda’s place. A lovely spacious home and generously stocked. It is a fantastic spot, right across from the water and the kids loved the local playground. Duncan was very helpful with local suggestions and offering the use of kayaks and boat. Would highly recommend and we look forward to visiting again.

We had a lovely stay. Beautiful setting. Loved the updated bathroom although rest of the unit had the Kiwi bach feel. Washing machine was helpful to have in the unit.

Beautiful location, beautiful home. Clean & tidy very inviting with an instant at home feel to it. Lovely place to relax with family with a beautiful ocean view to match! Highly recommend.
