The Upper Room was much more than we exspected! Wikus was super helpful and took excellent care of us. Attention to detail, quality appliences and bedding made us feel right at home. Special drinks and treats were waiting in the fridge for a tired tennis player and his mom, at no extra cost. I would rate this beautiful place as the BEST we every stayed at. Beautiful view of the mountians on the balcony was such a treat. Thank you Wikus, we loved staying at your place!

Jackson’s Cottage was such a tranquil beautiful spot! The fields and Mountain View’s were extraordinary, especially at sunset! And the pool was so lovely during the hot days. Such a quaint and charming little town. If you’re ever in Tulbagh, I would highly recommend this cottage! ⭐️

We loved everything about our stay! From the moment we booked our trip, Cronje and Anne-Marie were the perfect hosts. Super responsive, helpful and accommodating. For the house itself, 5 stars aren’t enough - the place was incredible. We can’t wait to be back.

This is a beautiful, spacious house which provides luxury accommodation. Each room has own bathroom and the bedrooms are beautifully appointed. The living space is comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and then lastly the veranda is a perfect extension to the living space, with a lovely garden and great views. This is our second stay and we will definitely stay again on our next trip to Riebeeck Kasteel.

We stayed here from. Thursday to Sunday and were very happy we spent 3 nights here. Compared to other nearby areas with vineyards, we found this area to be more relaxed, less tourists, and vineyards with a lot of character and wonderful for tastings and meals. At Seven Oaks we did the wine safari, which is basically tastings as you are taken in a vehicle around the vineyard. This was great for us as we know perhaps less about wine than the average visitor and it gave us an opportunity to get to learn a lot more and see the grapes the wine comes from. The cottage had wonderful WiFi which worked for zoom meetings even when we had two computers connected at the same time. The Turkish bath was wonderful. We visited in the summer and it was tremendously refreshing. We brought our bike and this is a paradise for cyclists. Bainskloof pass, one of the most stunning roads we have biked in, is 5km away. For mountain bikers there are tons of routes within 5km among vineyards.

I have stayed at hundreds of Air BNB's and I can categorically say that Jo-Mare and Andre were the most hospitable and wonderful hosts that I have ever experienced. The accomodation is absolutely stunning, everything from a cold plunge/hot tub to BBQ/braai. Its finished to the highest standard and all the little touches made our stay really memorable. I will without question be back

I came with two friends and we had a really great time! The cottage is super cute and simple and has everything you need for a little vacation. The jacuzzi is a great addition and sitting in the hot tub with a glas of wine and the view of the mountains is next level! Kathy was very responsive and friendly (we did not meet her but the communication was great) and it was easy to get set up at the accommodation. The only thing potentially important to know is that there is no fence around the property and sometimes a farm worker may walk around or the odd car drives past so it's not entirely private which might be important for anyone who is wanting to be naked out on the porch. But it is super quiet and peaceful and clean and lovely! If you are going to hike the 22 waterfalls which are pretty close by (about a 12min drive) then in theory you should get your permit in advance (but we got in on the day, because there were not many people that day).
