I was on a post redundancy, solo trip & needed to be near the sea and create a wee bubble of peace for myself. Tanya’s caravan is perfectly situated, with an incredible, unencumbered view. You can even see Tarbat Ness lighthouse out in the distance. Clear starry nights, the sound of the waves and seabirds. This is a busy holiday park for most of the year & wouldn’t really suit me in the peak season but at the beginning of November, it was quiet & peaceful. I didn’t use the park facilities & the one day I did venture to the shop they were just closing at 2pm. I took a wander into Dornoch & had a lovely afternoon in the local charity & book shops as well as the very well stocked Dornoch Stores. Tanya’s place has absolutely every convenience you could possibly need & that made the stay so much more comfortable. And with Tanya herself being so friendly & helpful it made for the perfect stay. The only difficulty was unreliable wifi but I had unlimited phone data and a great signal.

We had a great stay over New Year at the Crab Shack. You couldn't be closer to the water. Two huge lounge area with wood burners. All rooms had their own bathrooms. Main bedroom was fantastic. Beautiful views out to sea. We will come back in the summer months to see what the area is like in warmer times.

Angus is an excellent host! He was kind enough to leave us a loaf of bread and some fruit! Plus everything else you would need for a comfortable stay! Thank you

This is a spacious, cosy, comfortable place to stay. It's peaceful, remote, in beautiful surroundings - the Atlantic to the West, the mountains of Torridon to the East, and views of Skye from beautiful local beaches. Onie and Ally were friendly and helpful (above and beyond after I'd gone knee-deep in a bog on a walk, making sure my boots dried by morning). The apartment is, if anything, better than in the photos - the comfortable sitting room/dining/kitchen area really spacious. I slept super-well here and had some great walks and drives in the day - taking hundreds of photos.

The place was spotless and well equipped, we weren't sure whether to bring cutlery, pots and pans etc but you will find that you only need to bring your foods to cook as the kitchen has everything you need in there. The hot tub was in a fenced off 'mini forest', so you can enjoy it whilst your dogs roam around in a safe enclosure of nature. We have decided it's the most perfect getaway stay for us and will be back again when the weather is warmer, as we came in February and it was perfect, can't imagine how good the place would be in summer!

We had a lovely stay. The cottage lives up to its name. As we are older generation things like being “cosy” at all times is important, especially in January! Kiersten goes above & beyond providing virtually everything you may need as well as a welcome pack.

Fabulous property in a beautiful location. The house is light, spacious and airy with tasteful and good quality furnishings. Big picture windows with amazing views and yet the house is warm and cosy. The kitchen is well stocked with all equipment and the wood burning stove is easy to use and so comforting in the Scottish weather. Really loved this place.

We had a lovely time at Easter Moy. It was spacious and clean, perfect for two families. The rooms were large and comfortable, the staircase was a highlight and of course the views were stunning. We would highly recommend it for a base from which to explore the Highlands. Charlotte was helpful throughout which made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you so much.

Lovely little cabin with everything we needed for a few nights! The kitchen was well equipped with a plug-in induction hob, microwave and hot water. We love to cook and we managed just fine! The shower isn't suitable for people over 6ft but this is in the description so we were expecting it (and you can just crouch a little). We were actually blown away by how powerful and hot it gets, it's better than mine at home 😅 We stayed during the off-season so a lot of the local restaurants were closed. Maybe do a little research in advance as the Google opening times aren't accurate. The shop is well stocked though and there are places in nearby towns if you're driving The cabin is in Rachel and Zoe's garden but it has a little section of its own and feels really private. There's a nice walking trail nearby and the beach is beautiful. Would highly recommend a midnight walk somewhere dark to see the stars Thank you to Rachel, Zoe, and Smoo for a lovely weekend!
