The perfect get away from reality. I loved how the unit had the door facing the ocean, and how you can hear the waves calm during the night. The covers on the bed were amazing because they felt soft and overall kept you warn. The lounging area was great for movie night. Highly recommend the upstairs room. Thank you for a great stay!

I absolutely loved everything about this place! My only regret was staying 2 nights. The property was super peaceful with the best views I've ever seen. 10/10.

Wow, what a great vacation! We could not have asked for anything more. Our hosts, Sarah, Roly, and Marilyn, took such great care of us from the time we arrived, until the day we left. Our apartment was as advertised, and set the perfect location for a great fishing trip. The river access was excellent, just a brief walk to the platform. The fish cleaning station was well lit, and very clean. There are vacuum sealers for your use to preserve your fish and several deep freezers to store your daily catch in until you leave. We were minutes from Fred Meyers, and Safeway, as well as some great places to eat. If you go, be sure to eat at Mykels, and the Acapulco. We are so looking forward to returning, and would highly recommend this property for your ultimate fishing experience, or just an amazing getaway.

This was a super cute, clean, convenient place to stay while we were fishing the Kenai River.

Sue and Mike are very friendly and accommodating! The house is modern, clean, roomy and beautifully decorated. The hosts have it well stocked and have thought of everything to make it feel homey. The pictures don’t do it justice! Fishing on the Kenai was a blast. Most of us caught our limit daily. Would definitely go back!! Thank you soooo much for sharing your amazing home, Sue and Mike!

This place is very nice and in a great location

Beautiful location. Loved the amenities like the campfire every night looking over the water, sauna was clean, and breakfast had homemade goods that were delish. Eagles nest was just as described. No tv. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place.

Beautiful home with 5 star views. This gem of a find is located just a short walk to the start of the Iditarod and the gorgeous views of the water with the mountains behind. The house is perfectly located within walking distance to town and the waterfront area. The inside is so comfortable with ample seating, large dining table and well-stocked kitchen. Beds were very comfy and lots of pillow choices, which is always a nice touch. Perhaps our favorite part, next to the otters, bald eagles and seals right outside the door, was the beautiful pottery throughout the kitchen for our use. We will be back for sure. Thanks for an amazing stay.

This Is a lovely, large, comfortable house. The kitchen was great to cook in. Lots of room, great cooktop and stove. The bathroom shower heads are excellent and we didn’t run out of hot water with 8 of us showering. Any issues were promptly resolved. We would stay again. Thanks for sharing your house.

This cabin was absolutely incredible. The views are absolutely breathtaking!!! The drive from anchorage to this cabin was breathtaking as well every time you turn your head there is something new to look at. The cabin itself was very cozy and peaceful. We will definitely be staying here again when we return.

Late summer escape from the farm & Oklahoma heat. We got what we expected & more. My husband, cousin & spouse from NY, & our two grown men boys, arriving & departing different days. The Kenai airport made travel much easier & short flights from & to Anchorage were flight-seeing without the $500+ price tag (according to my cousin). So well equipped, & the local grocery Fred Meyer (that we called the car dealership) was well stocked, people pleasant & helpful...I always left with a smile. The weather was perfect (50-60) & we shipped home 100 lbs of halibut & cod! The fishing in the Kenai was not very successful since we weren't set up for the fast current...but what a mesmerizing & great way to start the day having morning coffee on the river deck. So appreciate Manuel & Debbie for sharing their beautiful home built by Manuel & his dad, John, & many friends. I love the legacy. Tony & Gina Crotty, Stillwater, OK

Ryan was amazing from the beginning and was helpful in trying to find us additional housing during the peak season!

I am a local Alaskan and was driving through the area when a blizzard kicked up. It was dark and I didn’t feel comfortable driving, so I pulled over and looked for a place to stay for the night. Ben’s place popped up and I booked it. It was a great place, it really has everything you need and lots of room. The bed was really comfortable! We especially enjoyed Ben’s photography and painting decorating the walls. I can see this being a great place for a family or group to stay during their Alaskan adventures.

Place was great. Walk to the river. Good spot to fish. We caught and kept plenty. There is 2 houses that share the fishing area and it can get crowded if everyone is fishing fyi. We had 3 in our group and I would say the maximum amount who can fish comfortably in the area is about 6. So if your group is big and someone is in a big group next door it could be an issue. Overall we had a great time and the group in the neighboring house was cool so it wasn't a big deal for us.

Queen Murphy Bed with Bedding Rubber mats for wet stuff Location - Walking Path on Arlberg Ave that gives access to anywhere in Girdwood. 2 min from Ted’s Express lift. Bathroom - good shower and plenty of towels Private Super Responsive host Roku to stream content Cons: Pillows - flat. Shoulder sleepers like me might need to use 2 Couch pull out bed - needs a new mattress. Seems like it has seen some abuse. View from deck is mostly obstructed by condo buildings. Take the tram up for best views. No body wash, soap, or shampoo provided Strange clicking noises when the heat is on. Disrupted my sleep the first night or two. Building Access - funky doorknob where you have to insert the key and twist before it allows you to push the key hole in and unlock the deadbolt. Cons are minor. 11/10 would stay again or recommend to a friend. Thanks Diana!

Surrounded by beautiful views from every room. The house was large and very clean, felt super comfortable. It was the wonderful getaway from the city that we were looking for! Not to mention it’s not far from most of the shops and restaurants in Girdwood. Overall a wonderful experience and we will be back again!
