The house has been there for 478 years at time of writing this and on our trip here we’ve created more life long family memories that add to this incredible historic and amazing home. Beautiful accommodation in lovely grounds with everything you need to host a group celebration. The decor is fabulous!

What a beautiful place to stay! The attention to detail was amazing and it had all the possible amenities you could need. Diewertje was incredibly responsive and even left a little gift for our 1 year old which was extremely kind. We really enjoyed using the log burner on some cold and windy evenings. The location is also great for exploring the local area. We would not hesitate to stay again!

We had a fabulous stay at Barefoot. The house was terrific - great set up inside, extremely clean and comfortable and with all we needed (and more) for a perfect few days at the beach. The location is amazing - literally right on the beach, nestled amongst beautiful dunes which the kids adored. And being able to step right onto the sand was glorious. Mark was extremely helpful with all we needed and also local recommendations - communication always v quick and easy. Thoroughly recommend staying at Barefoot! We are sure to be back!

We came to visit with our toddler, large dog and grandparents this place was incredible, a place all stakeholders had the best time. it really is no joke about being 5 minutes from the beach. the area was lovely and quiet with a few friendly locals. we strolled the large empty beaches and had lovely breakfasts lunches and dinners all nearby. we played I'm the sand during the afternoons and had a lovely BBQ and toasted smores over the fire. the house itself is warm and cosy but decorated well enough it didn't feel cluttered or messy. everything we could need for 5 adults and a child and shops only 6 min drive away for anything. my dog was delighted with the area and was comfortable enough that once his blankets and beds were down he was fine sleeping on his own downstairs. we ended up getting absolutely gorgeous weather having said that I imagine coming down when it's chilly or a little rainy would be equally as enjoyable. I will definitely be booking again.

Great location near the high street, harbour and beach. The house is beautiful and worked really well for us and our 2 small children. The second bathroom was a real plus! Would definitely recommend.

What a fantastic place to stay! Myself and a group of friends attended the property for a girly weekend away. The house is beautiful and even better than the photos. It was immaculately clean and had everything you would need and more for any length of stay. It is situated within walking distance of lots of amenities and fun things to do . Claire as a host is super helpful and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and we had very quick responses to any questions we had. It had a very homely and warm feeling meaning we all felt very relaxed. It has everything you need to have fun as a family or group of friends. We were very sad to be leaving the property and will definitely be revisiting. It's a must stay!

We had a fantastic stay at Robert’s place! The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Robert was a great host—responsive, helpful, and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. The location was excellent, and the check-in/check-out process was smooth. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

A lovely stay at the costal Cabin. The cabin was exceptionally clean and well equipped. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay again. A lovely little find.

Had a lovely few days at Craig & Imogen’s property. They were great hosts, really responsive. We had a minor issue on the first evening and Craig was there within 20 minutes to sort it. The place is on a busy main road, but inside is an oasis of calm. Beautifully presented with everything you could hope for. Easy 10 minute walk in Margate (or buses are available). Would definitely recommend

We had such a wonderful stay at Kass's place! Perfect way to bring in the new year :) The surroundings are beautiful and we felt right at home and very cosy. Kass was great!! She met us for check-in and showed us round the place and was flexible with our arrival/departure times which we really appreciated :) The place was super clean and comfortable, we had a really lovely stay and would highly recommend staying at Kass's. It was such a treat to stay in Amelia’s fabulous home and really made our trip to Margate. The flat was perfect for what we needed and finished beautifully. It’s even better than the photos and felt so peaceful whilst being so close to everything. Amelia was brilliant- communicative and flexible, we’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

I’ve been wanting to stay somewhere like this, a much-needed getaway to relax in nature, with a big window and a scenic view, and I found the perfect spot. Stayed for two nights and honestly didn’t want to return back to reality. It did get a bit cold at night, but starting my own fire in the fireplace was such a fun experience, and it didn’t take long to warm up the cabin. The host was super helpful and stayed in contact with quick replies. I took my pet rabbit, and she enjoyed herself too! Definitely looking forward to checking out the other cabins in different locations. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely shepherd’s hut! The hut itself was modern, spotlessly clean, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable getaway. The host went the extra mile by leaving us a welcome bottle of champagne, which was such a thoughtful touch. Throughout our stay, they were incredibly kind, responsive, and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. The peaceful countryside setting was perfect for a relaxing weekend away. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cosy retreat. I’ll definitely be back!

Our stay was short and sweet, but how absolutely lovely it was! Thank you Alyson for being so attentive to us and responding so quickly. The forest den was easy to find thanks to Alyson’s instructions and it spotless when we arrived. Being greeted by the doggies was the highlight of my day! We stayed one night and the space was perfect for us. The local woodland was perfect for a walk to celebrate the start of spring. The surrounding area was so quiet and peaceful, it was exactly what we needed and expected. I recommend it to anyone who needs to take a break and recharge!

We loved our stay at Pancake Lodge, beautiful views, immaculate lodge, hot tub was a very good quality one, outdoor dining area was unique and creatively made, all amenities needed and clear communication throughout. Kari also was kind enough to add a birthday banner for us before arrival and helped plan for a later check in putting on some lights warmth etc. Very thoughtful extra touches were appreciated. Would highly recommend and will return.

Larissa’s quaint little cabin was a wonderful escape from the hustle & busy world we find ourselves in. She was responsive & left us some fresh eggs & also delicious homemade jam. We are a family of four & and whilst we were very comfortable the place is small. Our girls slept very well on the futon bed in the lounge. I imagine this place comes to life in summer when you can utilise the outdoor space; like the dining table. We found it quite crammed at mealtimes. The pool, even in November, was fantastic! Fresh & an absolutely wonderful experience. Thank you Larissa.
