Our family had a really great time here and everything was as described! Cabin was very comfortable, and John was an extremely kind host. The backdrop of Mt Roland is beautiful and we enjoyed watching the platypus in the pond on site

Georgeous farm and wonderfully simple cottage with a wood burner and lovely atmosphere which was private , yet with great walks around the farm . There is an amazing walk close by to a viewing platform overlooking a magnificent gorge. Perfect for visiting Cradle mountain as it’s only about 1.25 hrs drive.

Mooi rustig huisje met prachtig uitzicht. Een fijn groot welkomspakket bij aankomst en het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien. Het is genieten op de veranda.

The most spectacular view. Outdoor surroundings is second to none. Our kids absolutely loved it. Room decor might not be 100% our style but it’s just a personal thing. House was very clean and great amenities provided.

We loved staying here with our two children - the location is fantastic with beautiful views from the house, which itself is a stunning historic cottage. The beds are v comfortable also. We walked to Alum Cliffs, which was glorious. We saw a platypus in the creek down at Mole Creek. Mole Creek caves are also worth visiting, most especially for the glow worms. Wish we had stayed longer! I can imagine a relaxing week in beautiful Tasmania staying here.

A very peaceful spot with an incredible view. Birds and ducks visit the water holes and there are fruit, veggies and eggs available. We very much appreciated the breakfast goodies. It was a delight to stay here!

The Desolation of the property really just takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city life and into something more relaxing. There was a lot of wildlife going around the property and the backdrop of rolland mountains every morning was excellent .

We stayed overnight before heading on to Cradle Mountain the next morning. The location is excellent which is only 45 min drive to get there. The place is off the main track but still easy to find using google map. As the closest town Sheffield is about 30min drive so best to stock up all you need and prepare your own meal. The place offers good facilities to cook your own.

I highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone who is looking to immerse themselves in this beautiful area and looking to connect with nature/animals. We absolutely loved it. We were spoiled by Tracy and Quentin. They had prepared us Anzac biscotti, fresh egg, their own honey and many other local Tasmanian local products as special welcome. We also had the opportunity to feed the animals and enjoyed this beautiful view from our cottage. The wood burner and the comfy bed made our night so cosy! We will absolutely be back as we wished we could have stayed longer. Thanks again for the hospitality!!

Klara war eine sehr freundliche Gastgeberin – wir durften sogar schon vor dem Check-in unsere Koffer bei ihr abgeben. Die Wohnung befindet sich in einem Nebenhaus im Garten eines großen, wunderschön gelegenen Grundstücks, das den besonderen Reiz dieses Ortes ausmacht. Dort leben Alpakas, Gänse, Schafe, ein Hund und eine Katze – eine idyllische Umgebung, die zum Entspannen einlädt. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit offenem Kamin, einem schönen Bad und einer gut ausgestatteten Küche mit zwei Kochplatten. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns über den vorbereiteten Kühlschrank mit Frühstücksutensilien und das selbst gebackene Brot, das Clara uns bereitgestellt hat. Wir konnten den Gasgrill nutzen und im nahe gelegenen Schuppen gemütlich essen – ein weiteres Highlight. Insgesamt ein ganz besonderer Ort, den wir absolut weiterempfehlen können, wenn man Ruhe und Natur genießen möchte.

Luxurious private beautiful accommadation in the most tranquil of surroundings, we had the best sleeps, for a place with such class it was amazing for everyone to feel absolutely comfortable and at home at all times. Everyone we came in contact with at the property was friendly happy, the property is incredibly well maintained with the most beautiful of scenic views. The historical info supplied of the farm property the Manor House, the Chapel and its workings was appreciated and weĺl done. Our congratulations thanks and respect go both to the owners along with all others that work the property and love and maintain it the way they do. The Coach House renovations are beautifuly done extremely well thought out and absolutely deserve a five star rating. The gorgeous peacocks ambling by, the sheep the cattle and the Highland cows were a treat and i have to add the bath towels are the most plush soft beautiful towels ive used at accommadation anywhere. What a beautiful spot in the countryside. Beautiful gardens and farm surrounding the farmhouse. Spacious room and lots of indoor and outdoor space to spread out or gather in a group. Perfectly located 15 mins from Devonport - such a great spot to explore so many beautiful towns and attractions. Great accom for a group.

What a fantastic place to stay, spectacular views and modern, well appointed rooms, each with its own unique look and feel. Sharyn and Pat were amazing, welcoming hosts, we felt really well looked after! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a bit of luxury in a slightly off the beaten track location!

Set on a peaceful idyllic location amidst rolling hills, this modern, well appointed appartment has it all, ready for the guests to relax and enjoy. We appreciated everything, from the great atmosphere created by Kim and Jake with neutral decor and good taste finishes, to the modern kitchen appliances, comfy bed, Netflix TV and outstanding views. Everything was just perfect and we were able to rest and recharge in the quiet countryside. Conveniently close to shops, within 25 min drive to the supermarkets in Devonport or one hour and a half drive to the great hikes around Mount Craddle national park, there's lots to do and explore around the area. We'd like to be back sometimes...Thank you Kim and Jake for being such wonderful hosts and making this happen

Big house in the middle of nature. Night sky is spectacular. Birdwatcher's paradise, wallabies and a possum come right next to the house. Feels like home, would easily house five guests. Communication with Dominic went very well

We stayed in the larger of the up-stairs units named "Towering Gums 2". The place was clean and comfortable. Very much a home away from home with all the facilities and items needed. The balcony with table and chairs was great allowing us to sit outdoors and admire the view whilst having an enjoyable beverage. The beds were excellent as was most of the furniture, although one of the couches in particular is a little soft and dated. The kitchen is large and well-equipped with one of the largest sinks we've ever seen! During our stay in early March it was quite sunny most days, and because the unit has a large west-facing wall, it heats up and stays very warm well into the night, so it was necessary to run the A/C late afternoon and at night for cooling. Penny and Steve kept in touch and were very responsive to whatever we needed. Overall we had a very enjoyable and relaxing time.

If you're looking for an incredible farm stay experience, I highly recommend this site. Diana and David made a really kind welcome, and there were lots of enjoyable activities here, like feeding the animals and taking a fram tour. The cottage was very clean and nice.

This place is incredible I have travelled and stayed many places around Tasmania and this one would be my favourite. The peacefulness in the surroundings and the beautiful outlook and mountains is something special. If you love the outdoors and wanting something beautiful to stay in there, this is your place. We absolutely loved our buggy tour and it felt full of adventure seeing so much wildlife The cabin was so clean and tidy and beautiful to look at. If you are wanting a place that feels like home yet incorporates Tasmania and all its beauty, then this is the place to go. The room was modern and comfortable and everything was thought of including our beautiful breakfast.. the host are so welcoming and so easy to communicate with. We are so grateful for our time there and we cannot wait to return. This place is truly heavenly.

We had a great time on the farm! We loved meeting all the animals. The house was clean, comfy and warm. The fresh eggs, homemade bread and jam were so delicious! Angela was very responsive and had a load of tips for the area. Would definitely stay again!

Peter and Susie were the perfect hosts! They were proactive in letting us know that there are no grocery stores or restaurants nearby, so we had plenty of time to buy our own food (however, they offered to cook us dinner). Peter gave us plenty of local recommendations, insider information, when we arrived and they offered excellent hiking tips for Cradle Mountain. The suite was large and in pristine condition. The bed, linens, and pillows were super comfortable (we loved the heating blanket). Lovely toiletries provided and a nice hot shower. We thought the filtered water tap was a fantastic surprise addition. There was also a kettle and fridge in our room, with our personal supply of coffee and tea. The 2 course breakfast was the cherry on top, absolutely delicious. The only downfall, which should not prevent you from running to stay here, is the shower head being a little low and not having the best pressure.

We had trouble as soon as we landed at the airport and in desperation, we texted our host as well for help. Though she had no obligation, Penny went out of her way and was proactively trying to help us, checking in all the time. She was very responsive and empathetic and that was really needed. The place is situated amidst the hills and forests of Tassie and just exudes peace. It's a very cozy home and the surrounding is so wild and intensely serene, a very tranquil spot. So many Tasmanian devils and wallabies around. Within an hour drive, there is much to see around there. Covered with lush greens and so many rivers and canyons, just blessed with nature. If you are a nature lover, I recommend this place 1000% percent. P.S. the drinking water is delicious.
