We had a lovely two days. Beautiful building and surroundings.

We loved the Owls, we had an amazing stay. Very easy to find, lovely peaceful location. Beautiful settings and extremely comfortable. Everything was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for more. The hot tub was amazing, stayed super hot all night, matched with the blackness of night. Luckily we had a clear sky and was amazing to see all the stars. It was absolutely perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Ben & Katheryn were very hospitable, even leaving us a bottle of champagne for valentine’s. Very nice touch and was a pleasure to meet you ! I have no doubt we will be back !

Great hosts! Little Idle has a lovely energy. The decor is tasteful and homely but not cluttered. It is very light and spacious, a great use of space with lots of windows and doors. The bed is extremely comfortable. It's very peaceful at night so you are guaranteed a good nights sleep. There is ample storage for your things. Really effective under floor heating and wood burner. The shower has great pressure and the bath is comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and I loved the selection of teas available. There are some fun games and great literature provided. The internet was down but this wasn't a problem as there was good signal with 3 network. The hot tub was positioned in a perfect spot over looking the valley, it was really special. There is no light pollution so on a clear night you can see the milky way. Take a torch/lamp if planning to use the after sunset under the stars. Would LOVE to return again, I am feeling very relaxed after my stay, thank you!

My friends and I stayed at Miranda’s lovely house to celebrate my Birthday, to say we didn’t want to leave come Sunday doesn’t do it justice! The views from every window of the cottage are just amazing, it was perfect for a relaxing weekend and we found some lovely walks nearby. It’s quiet and it’s beautiful, what more do you want? We will definitely be coming back!!

Beautiful cottage with cosy but striking decor, really comfortable and cosy. Perfect for the six of us. Kitchen had everything we needed to prep a roast and the garden was small but perfectly formed. The local pub was a stones throw through a pretty village, with a really delicious menu. Only downside was no local shop for a pint of milk, loaf or emergency crisps. But I guess that may be tricky to sustain in second home areas. All in all a really comfortable cottage - thank you x

Gorgeous property 2 mins walk from the sea and a superb beach. Probs better in summer as beach would be amazing BUT we used cottage between Xmas & NY and was warm, comfy and a lovely place to escape and use as a base for seeing relatives. It's expensive TBH but that's the price of Devon rentals on the coast and it is, to be fair, very well equipped. I'm an AirBnB 'owner' myself so I always appreciate another lovingly presented home from home. Parking is, in theory, available for four cars, but it is impossible to turn around in the drive if anyone else is parked on it unless your car is more of a Honda Jazz mobility scooter than a real vehicle. Hence you then have to reverse all the way back down the access road which is narrow and not straight so is a challenge for less confident drivers or vehicles with limited visibility. Otherwise lovely and would use again which is really the only bit of a review that matters. Thanks, Tim

Claire's place is amazing, the pictures don't do it justice. Everything was perfect from arrival to check out. So many extra touches. Hot tub is Devine. Bed super comfy. Our doggies loved it too. Lots of walks. Local pubs very friendly and great food. Many to chose from. Can't wait to return xx

We had the most wonderful Christmas stay at this lovely cottage! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the spacious layout and how well equipped everything was. The cottage had all the amenities we needed to make our holiday special, from a good-sized kitchen to comfortable living spaces. Located in a quiet area just a stone's throw from the beach and cliffs, it offered us the perfect blend of relaxation and stunning views. Our host was incredibly responsive and made us feel right at home, ensuring we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions or simply checking in to see if we needed anything, their hospitality was outstanding. This cottage is ideal for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the festive season in a beautiful setting. We can’t recommend it enough and are already hoping to return soon!

The cottage, although small, is perfectly formed and beautifully positioned for the beach. it was spotless throughout. our hosts were proactive in considering our needs and thoughtful.

Had a great stay; really lovely cottage which was extremely thoughtfully equipped . The cottage has lots of character and we particularly enjoyed the log burner at the end of our days of exploring ! Gill was very flexible with our check in and out times and very easily contactable and helpful. Great to have The Wild Goose Inn within a minutes walk; very welcoming and serving excellent food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quiet village off the beaten track and Gill even supplied sunshine; we couldnt have asked for more. Thankyou .

We loved our stay at the cottage. It’s on a really quiet road, but was only a 2 minute walk from the centre of Dawlish and the seafront. The property itself was lovely, very clean and furnished to a good standard. Would definitely recommend!!

We had a fabulous stay with friends at this beautiful, quirky and cosy cottage. Everything was perfect, clean with comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen. There are 2 excellent pubs within walking distance in the village. There is lots to do in the area including some wonderful beaches. We had 2 dogs and went to Bigbury, Blackpool Sands and Beesands. We found an excellent 'haunted' pub on our way back from Bigbury - The Journeys End at Ringmore. Amazing food, atmosphere and staff. We recommened this cottage.

Lovely cottage. I think steep & narrow lane up needs to be in description. My Mazda Bongo was fine, so most vehicles should be. parking was easy. Quooker tap did not work but it didn't bother us, so I didn't contact Laura. Boiled kettle for hot water in sink if needed. Comfortable beds. Despite a pub nearby, we heard nothing. A few bangs from next door when doors slammed, but other than that it was lovely & peaceful. Instructions for oven etc were in basket drawer under TV. Didn't find them until 2nd day but I'd worked out how to use everything by then. We would definitely stay again if we needed somewhere close to Plympton. Laura answered queries VERY quickly.

We had a lovely last minute break with our dogs. The cottage is so homely and had everything we needed. Wonderful location, access to the beach and also to the SW coast path was in literally minutes! Just what we wanted. Loved it, thank you Kelly and Benny!

Really charming cottage, exactly what you’d hope for from a country escape, the bathroom in the bedroom was the icing on the cake! The beams, the log fire, the little patio garden it was all so idyllic, we’ll definitely be adding to our list of favourites, thank you so much.

Absolutely perfect for our stay. Exactly like the photos. Julia was fabulous and quick to respond re' heating questions. The boiler in the master bedroom is somewhat noisy but this is not something that can be helped...I'm just sensitive to night-time sounds. Parking - we parked up the road (towards the pub). Location - quick walk into town....steep but to be fair, I've stayed in steeper Brixham locations! Communication - fabulous! Literally instant response - not expected as clearly, the host has a life! Local area - go to the Queens Arms (left from the property). We took our instruments and had a little session - so welcoming! I would recommend but that would mean competition, should we want to stay again!

Hannah and Ivor really helpful and friendly. Lovely setting. Children loved being able to forage and see the wildlife. Perfect. Peaceful.

Communication with Mark was great. The house is really lovely, as described, and the oak extension is great. It is tastefully decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and our 3 year old grandchild slept well in the peace and quiet. Thank you Mark.... we definitely would like to return.

In one word, heavenly. A Family or small group trip to explore anywhere around Devon, this is definitely a place for you —at a good bargain as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property. Modern house with state of the art facilities, wash rooms were great, large island kitchen with a befitting diner stood out for us. All beds and beddings were so so comfortable. Simply felt like home. Hosts Robert and Jane were great with communication so we didn’t need to call the host at any point as everything was as described. They also recommended places around, some of which were 100% for us. We would recommend a trip to Salcombe obviously as it’s a 20+ mins drive, explore the beautiful town, trip to north & south sands via the ferry and enjoy the lovely oceanic view. Highly recommend a visit to Crab Shell inn in Kingsbridge, don’t miss a trip to Torquay Marina, about 40mins drive from Goveton. Need to add that the roads to the village are narrow but in all, great experience!

Perfect cottage for a peaceful getaway. Beautifully styled and comfortable with nice touches and a well-stocked kitchen. Heating works really well. Clare is a fab host! Easy to find, we pulled up outside to drop off bags before parking on a street in the village. Nice pub at the bottom of the road.

Two of us have just returned from a six night stay at Garden Cottage. There was a welcome tray when we arrived which was welcome. The house and garden were peaceful and the gardens were beautiful even in March. You can walk down to North Beach in about 15 minutes and have a lovely cream tea in the Winking Pawn restaurant. You can walk down to Salcombe but it is a steep walk back uphill. Victoria answered our queries straight away. The cottage is a home from home, well equipped kitchen and lovely hot water in the shower. There are lots of National Trust houses to visit within drivable distance. Overbeck’s Garden is one you should not miss. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Idyllic spot, peaceful and surrounded by nature, yet excellent road links close by. Perfect host welcoming and responsive but not over attentive. Excellent information pack and a cottage full of character.

We returned to Plumtree Cottage for a second stay to enjoy the peace and quiet and beautiful views. The accommodation is spacious, clean and well equipped.
