Jacqui is very detail-oriented and strives for perfection in making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible! She is a caring, capable, knowledgeable, and generous hostess. It is obvious she loves her home and garden, and it is a pleasure to experience! She likes to help plan your visit to Taupō and surrounding areas to be memorable, based on her own experience living there. I really enjoyed sharing Jacquie’s home and highly recommend it to others!

Raewyn's place was lovely. Easy to find, off street parking, comfy bed, and wonderful breakfast. Raewyn was an excellent host, friendly and informative. Highly recommend.

If you stay in Taupo, stay at Steve & Julie’s. the location of the house is close to town and lake, yet quiet. the massive deck has an amazing view of the lake & mountains, the kitchen and living space is generous and bathrooms too. and you feel Steve & Julie put their heart and soul in the house. it was super easy to communicate with Steve, he even reached out proactively for some topics. overall amazing experience, we would have loved to stay longer!

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Honor’s place — we were so lucky to find it and it answered everything that we needed. The house was immaculate and beautiful settled in a wonderful garden and less than a minute to the river and we couldn’t have had a nicer time with the perfect hosts.

We were warmly greeted by Ann, her daughter and sweet pets. After a brief tour we left for Taupo and had dinner. Upon our return we had a nice exchange about New Zealand and current events. In the morning we went for a lovely garden tour and walk along the river which was directly behind Ann’s home. We also toured her other space called the lavender room which was self contained and private and modernized. We thought it would have been a better alternative and preferred for us. This accommodations is more a true Bed & Breakfast than an AirBB. Having stayed at many B&Bs we can say this was one of the most comfortable, best located and welcoming ones we have stayed at. The hosts are very easy to be with and they provided a wealth of local information. It was a welcome change to meet and converse with the hosts unlike many AirBBs where you often never actually meet the host. Our accommodations had a separate bedroom with a very comfortable bed and private outlook, along with a large bathroom with a separate water closet. All were spotless and lacked in nothing. Nights were dark and quiet. We were given a choice of breakfasts at our preferred time. Both meals were delicious. Access to a large living area with comfortable seating and a large TV meant you needn’t remain in your bedroom. Do not make the mistake of not spending time in and around Taupo. There is plenty to do and see along with lots of great restaurants which only enhance this ideal accommodation

Raewyn and Fraser were outstanding hosts. Very friendly and full of great suggestions for exploring the area. The location was a short walk along the beautiful lake shore to local restaurants.

Lovely property, just as described. Tidy and non cluttered. Great indoor, outdoor flow with a beautiful view across the lake to the West. Comfy beds and clean bathrooms and kitchen. Short walk to a great little restaurant bar. Easy to find and get inside.

We had such memorable stay at Mary’s. Easy to find and so close to the lake. Beautifully decorated and so comfortable if felt like home. Mary gave us some great tips for local attractions and left us extra special treats just to make us feel welcome! Could not recommend highly enough.

What a lovely, welcoming space. Cliff has taken great care with the decor, including very comfortable bed and couch, all amenities at your fingertips and everything sparkling clean. The fresh roses in the vase were a lovely touch. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There's even a filleting knife in case we want to go fishing! Sorry our stay was so short as we were heading home to the far north. Will definitely stay again when in Taupo.

I didn't stay here personally but my best friend did. She said it was amazing. Clean, tidy, great location. She said Jane went above and beyond. I spoke back n forth with Jane when booking the air bnb and she was super helpful.

If the Airbnb algorithm smiles on you & tucks this little gem in your search bucket, you’d be wise to reserve. We’re still asking ourselves-did this really happen; or was it all a dream we had in the most comfortable bed in a perfect apartment overlooking the beautiful lake as waves lulled us to a peaceful sleep. Then the most amazing NZ culinary delights you could dream of, lovely conversations, wonderful recommendations-a fish on the line, amazing carvings via paddleboard, a swim. The kindest people you could ever meet sharing inspiration and best example with the world.

Marki and Chris were fantastic hosts. We had an awesome stay, the place is beautiful and scenery is stunning. Would love to come back!

Matthew and Sarah welcomed us warmly into their beautiful country setting. The grounds were lovely to walk around, and our French bulldog had a great time checking out the fully fenced orchard and lawns. The accommodation was beautifully appointed with lots of little extras to make us feel really well looked after, from the continental breakfast supplies including homemade jams and bowls of fresh fruit and eggs to the sumptuous towels and gorgeous hand cream. Our hosts had even thought to have a first aid kit in the bathroom drawer, impressing me as to how much they had really thought about the comforts and needs of their clients. We definitely felt that we had our own private space but also knew that we could communicate with Matthew should we need anything.

Everything was seamless, comms, interaction etc. Tony was very friendly and welcoming. Both he and Suzi were great to chat with. Their home accomodation was very fresh, modern, well appointed and comfortable.

Barb and Mike are amazing hosts and we had a lovely and comfortable stay at Tongariro Adventures. The national park is only a short drive away. The waterfront is a few steps away and there are amazing trails around the area. Barb and Mike’s place exceeded our expectations and their hospitality made us feel very welcome. Also, top marks for the amazing breakfast!!

Perfect stay in impeccable accomodation, Tony was very welcoming and his house is perfect and functional with good facilities. Tony offered us an amazing breakfast and prepared scrambled eggs for us, thank you again for this welcome. I recommend Tony's accomodation.

I stayed here with a friend before completing the Tongariro Crossing and it was a wonderful experience. I would recommend to anyone; it was comfortable and clean and our every need was met. (Even making our sandwiches ready for the crossing the next day!). The breakfast was delicious and Mary was a friendly and helpful host. Can’t wait to stay again, thank you!
