Good central place. Particularly good if you need to go to Muhimbili as you can walk there Nice to have access to a pool although not very clean and also closed for a some days for cleaning reasons

Stayed for a couple of nights with the family whilst on holiday. Apartment is clean, secure, everything works and was better than I expected for the price. We arrived late and keys were with the security guard which was easy. Gilbert gave us a local number to call so our driver could get directions to the location (again worked fine). Block is modern (I’d say within the last year or two) and everybody was friendly to us. Powerful AC’s and internet was handy too + wasn’t expecting Netflix! would stay again...

Great location. Easy to get to Slipway - 25 min walk or 5 min Bejaje ride. Lovely restaurants in the area. The apartment is clean and comfortable and ideal for families needing 3 bedrooms. Lots of room for kids to run around and nice pool which is shaded. Very secure surroundings. Internal decor is dated and bedding could be updated but overall great value and attentive host.

First time using Airbnb, and I’m satisfied 100% with this house. The house was clean, cute and beautiful than the picture on Airbnb. The host were caring, responsive, and available. He help us to plan our stay in Dar es Salam, went to pick us when we reach the country to the house, help us to find taxi, restaurants,… I highly recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a affordable and luxurious place at the same time. We will definitely go there everytime we will be in Dares Salam.

Next to Palm Village makes life easy

Chambre très calme. très claire , grand salon , avec restaurants agreables à 15 min à pieds .. nombreux commerces .. seule curiosité , il faut mettre 88 ghuba road sur google pour y arriver , alors qu il y a n° 100 sur la porte d entrée de l immeuble ..si on met n° 100 sur google , on arrive de l autre côté du quartier ??? sinon , c est juste en face du msasani fish market .. et là tout le monde connait ..😄 bon séjour pour visiter Dar Essalam ..

The Explorer Villa was perfect as our base for our cricket tour. The building is clean, spacious and full of character. The staff are friendly, helpful and responsive. The access to the local beach is quick and easy, and while set a bit out of Dar proper, it was great to have all of us in one place we felt comfortable with. I'd recommend it wholeheartedly to others.

We had an amazing stay once again! The house is in a perfect location, just a short walk to the beach, which makes it ideal for a relaxing getaway. The host is incredibly helpful and always goes above and beyond to ensure we have everything we need. This was not our first visit—we’ve been here several times already, and we always look forward to coming back. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place for our vacations! We’d love to keep returning and would greatly appreciate a discount for loyal guests. Highly recommend this place to everyone!

For 2 days we felt like in a dream :)) The huge and very well kept garden around Villa Makuti is amazing. We loved the many different spots to sit or lay down and enjoy the beautiful views... To order a private cook was very comfortable and Omar was a very nice and good driver. Thanx for this wonderful experience!!!

The house is good, the neighborhood is amazing and neat, and the beach is awesome, the kids loved it, will definitely come back next time.

Amazing home with great attentive staff. The property is large with lots of sitting and resting spots. The kids loved the pool! The rooms were comfortable and clean and we all enjoyed our stay. We will visit again!

Wow! This is what this totally hidden gem of a place! We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this wonderful home literally localated on the beach. Super friendly staff that will always try and accommodate your requests. Winny and Joseph and the masai security took great care of us. The private gardens are enormous with plenty of seating areas to enjoy the sea breeze. Our host Sabrina was such a kind and thoughtful host, she even took time out to come visit us. She recommended great places to order food from and even arranged a local massage therapist to come visit. We would 100% recommend this beautiful hidden home to anyone wanting the luxury of a beach front getaway.

Perfect home away from home in a super cute neighbourhood. 10/10 would do again :)

Gilbert’s place lived up to its description in the posting. He’s an excellent host, incredibly kind, friendly, and always ready to answer questions. He’s a fantastic person! His place was also very nice, spotlessly tidy, and equipped with all the amenities to ensure a pleasant stay. As a local Dar resident, I highly recommend this place due to its convenient location. If you ever find yourself in Dar, I suggest you consider staying here. I’d happily return to this place the next time I visit Dar.
