Lovely, cosy, warm accommodation in a perfect spot by the harbour. Kitchen well equipped, no microwave but wasn’t a problem for us. We stayed over New Year and experienced both a storm and a lovely sunny day. The Steam Packet Inn a few doors down was friendly and welcomes dogs which was great. We had an amazing meal on New Years Day and would highly recommend the Cullen Skink and beer bread. The double bed was extremely comfy and lovely soft bed linen made for a good nights sleep.

The sea cubby is located at the top of the hill with stunning views of the coastline and Solway, in a rural location. It was very comfortable , private , and peaceful which was exactly we wanted. Everything you could think of was provided facilities wise , in this pet friendly accommodation. We explored the coastal path to Kippford and had a lovely Sunday roast sat in the sunshine outside the Anchor pub. A lovely relaxing stay , and well worth a stay if looking at this area.

High Lodge sits in a secluded spot near the coast in the Machars of Wigtownshire. It suited our needs perfectly - the house is cosy - warm Aga..magical skies at night Lovely walks surround the estate. Our host, Michael, made sure we were settled and satisfied...a happy stay.

Birds nest was the perfect place for my parents to stay ( rest of family was nearby) during our holiday in this beautiful spot. The wee cottage is very well equipped and appointed. Due to an oversight on our side we had rather a last min stress which Margaret was quick to help me resolve and she was wonderfully reassuring . A perfect get away spot for any couple or individual! We will certainly be back

The Tower Lodge is a beautiful Victorian gatehouse, which is part of Auchencairn House. It sits next to a quiet single track, coastal road on the edge of the estate. The location is private and quiet. It's warm and cozy on the inside. The view from the bedroom window is beautiful over Solway Firth towards Hestan Island. The area around the Lodge is wooded with many birds and other wildlife. Be warned though, as the bathroom is on the fourth floor, when you're down in the kitchen on the first floor, it's quite a climb via a spiral staircase to the bathroom ;-), but that's also one of the joys of this accommodation. We called the Tower Lodge "our little castle" for a week. The area around the Tower Lodge is well suited for outdoor activities. We went on a few coastal hikes near the Tower Lodge and did longer day trips to the Galloway Forst Park.

David's house is in a beautiful spot right next to the beach at Southerness. I have been going to this area for years and he has a really lovely, private spot steps away from one of the loveliest beaches. It's right next to the RSPB nature reserve at Mersehead, full of interest for wildlife enthusiasts. I saw a huge flock of barnacle geese (100s) wheeling around above us. It is very dog friendly in the house and around, with loads of great walks, and handy for local towns / sights. It was very cosy and warm and well equipped. I was deliberately there out of season, and it was very peaceful and quiet in Feb. I often had the beach to myself save one or two other dog walkers. In Summer I bet it is a also a great spot for kids and the holiday park seemed to have lots of facilities for families. David is a super welcoming and helpful host - I left my favourite jeans behind and he is posting them to me! I would not hesitate to book again :)

Had a fantastic stay. Layout was thoughtfully and cleverly done, creating a really comfortable stay for 4 adults. Lovely and warm, beds incredibly comfy, luxurious reclining chairs, lovely powerful shower and lots of useful utensils in the kitchen. Outside space perfect for dogs with large and well maintained gardens, backing right onto the sandy beach which is walk-able even during high-tide. As to Linda and Paul, they couldn't have been more welcoming, clearly they really cared about their guests. I would recommend taking advantage of Linda's knowledge and experience and do a glass workshop (takes a couple of hours). great fun and you come away with a lovely souvenir of your holiday. We would definitely visit again, particularly in the summer when you could take full advantage of the outside area.

I cannot recommend Gillian’s beautiful home highly enough, my partner and I booked it as a very last minute trip for new year with our two kids and it was just brilliant. Even in the typical Scottish weather the views were lovely and when the sun was shining it was stunning. The home has everything in it that you could possibly need and is so cosy and beautifully decorated. The beds were so comfortable and there was plenty of storage. The kitchen was really well equipped and was spacious enough to cook as well as being a social area. We decided to book again as soon as we’d arrived! Thank you Gillian x

Seasalt cottage is a very characterful, peaceful place with a sea view from the bedroom. It’s a perfect space for a couple. The host left little extras and messages to start off our stay and we felt very welcomed and looked after. It was a great location for visiting the Lake District and enjoying coastal walks. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a little serenity at an affordable cost!

A beautiful house in a beautiful location. It suited us all. The beds were extremely comfortable! Great for a family of all ages. The beach for our children and my elderly mother in law was able to see the beautiful views from the house.

Our experience at this property in Scotland was wonderful from start to finish. The booking process was straightforward, and our reservation was confirmed almost immediately, making everything effortless. Arriving at the property, however, turned into quite an adventure. We arrived in the evening amid heavy rain, with visibility low, and had to navigate a few remaining potholes along the way (though most had been filled in). Thankfully, we managed to find the key safe, unload our luggage, and settle in for the night. The next morning was a completely different scene. We woke up to clear skies and stunning views across the bay from both the bedroom and the lounge—it was breathtaking. Our first instinct was to get dressed and head straight to the beach for a morning walk, which was the perfect way to start the day. Inside, the house is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, with attention to detail everywhere. Premium shower gels were stocked in the bathrooms—a thoughtful touch

An amazing few days staying at Thrums. Beautiful house which is private, has spectacular views and is incredibly peaceful. Loved watching the birds and red squirrels in the garden. Asya made us feel at home straight away, providing a perfect little food hamper. Great location, would love to go back. Missing it already!

Amazing family getaway right on the beach front! Local train and bus routes nearby. Dog friendly and perfect accommodation with a LOG burner and free wood included! Easy instructions to follow for checking in and out, hassle free! Definitely coming back at summer time. Thanks for everything!
