Kirsty is a wonderful host. Brilliant communication and flexible for our needs. she provided local recommendations that we took and were worth it! The cottage was ideal sized for the two of us, and well equipped. The stairs to the bedroom are narrow, but this is explained in the listing so expected and just had to be careful after a prosecco! The fresh milk was delicious and gratefully received! Thank you for a lovely stay and for being such a great and understanding host.

Really lovely property, perfect for our family of 5. From the moment we arrived it felt really welcoming, the cottage had everything we needed for our stay and help us feel at home. The beds were really comfortable and a good size, and the sofa bed was made up for us as requested. Even better, the sofa bed was just off the main living area with a separate door so it felt like a private space. Our son reported that it was a bit less comfortable than the main beds but still ok. The only downside if anything was that the bathroom doors did not have locks which the teenagers were not so happy about! Despite being close to a train line there was very little noise and the kids loved that they could hear the cows in the background and see wild rabbits in the garden. We were quite easily able to get a taxi back from the White Hart where we ate one evening, but were glad we had done a supermarket shop before arriving as there are no facilities to be found close by. Fabulous place to stay!

Waterfall Cottage is a great home in a wonderful location. The home is clean, warm & very well equipped. The bed was so comfortable & lovely fresh linen, we slept so well. Matthew is a great host; incredibly helpful and really responsive. The garden is lovely & very pretty with the waterfall. All of the walkers we met in Earby were super friendly & the Red Lion Pub was a welcomed bolt hole after a long day walking. We will definitely be returning; so much to explore locally & Waterfall Cottage is the perfect base.

Great location, nice and quiet area but very close to the centre of Manchester to get to all the attractions.

We had such a wonderful time at The Lodge during our stay. The space was very clean and comfortable and Pip was a great host with great communication. We walked down to the village and ate at one of the restaurants on one of the evenings which was lovely. The walk back up is pretty steep so would only recommend for people without mobility issues. The lodge had everything we needed and the hot tub was fabulous! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pip’s place to stay if you are in the area!

We had a lovely weekend in Amber's cottage. The location was perfect with a short walk to the town and lots of nearby walks from the doorstep. The three double rooms were very comfortable and the cottage had everything you could need. Amber was quick to respond to a few questions and a great host. Sitting in the spring sunshine for breakfast in the garden with the birds and the sound of the church bells on our last day was perfect.

Easy to locate, but couldn’t find the reception to check in, maybe worth putting a big sign up. Once checked in at the pub/restaurant, which was lovely inside and had an outdoor seating area, where there was 3 deers wandering around, the staff were very welcoming and friendly On entering the estate it was clean, tidy, well spaced out and inviting. Our lodge was easy to find and could park right outside the door, making unloading the car a joy. The lodge was clean, spacious, warm when needed, well equipped, tastefully decorated, bath and shower in bedroom, we loved it. The hot tub was out of this world, it wasn’t warm, but hot! And the jets were powerful. I was floating around not a care in the world watching so many stars, as there’s no light pollution. If you’re going to eat at the restaurant, please go well before 7pm, as it closes Very early and we missed out. All in all, we would most definitely go back, for the lodge, hot tub, peacocks, deers, peacefulness and location.

The place is absolutely fantastic—perfect for a couples’ getaway. It’s super peaceful, making it a great spot to unwind and clear your head. While it’s just off the M1, the road noise is minimal and not at all distracting. The outdoor bath would have been a dream if the weather hadn’t turned on us, but on a good day, it’s definitely a highlight. Simon was a great host—friendly, responsive, and exactly what you’d hope for. Just a heads-up: since it’s a bit out of the way, there aren’t many places nearby. We grabbed food at The Star Inn, which is about a 10-minute walk. It’s classic pub fare, with two main dishes for £20—not a bad option if you don’t feel like cooking.
