absolutely lovely place to stay and hide away for a few days! can't wait to return 😁 arrived around 6ish, no issue with getting keys from the bar. it is very well signposted at each area to turn into. walks straight from door step or a short drive away. Chalet was clean and tidy. . . WOW to the shower pressure ! amazing .. . & beds, very comfortable. Internet connection was spot on. my phone kept thinking it was somewhere else, but as the Internet so good it isn't noticeable, just maybe turn your roaming off, depending on the phone plan you have. (nearest petrol station roughly 15/20minutes away) side note *the sat nav, if heading towards Port William from site, will take you (it did me anyway) on a nice off road trip. definitely interesting in my VW polo🤣, but all apart of the journey! if you are in a small vehicle or aren't comfortable driving on something other than tarmac, don't take the left after leaving site, keep going straight until the next left.

We have stayed in 63 Air Bnbs and I must say that Deborah’s is the most luxurious. The interior decor would do well in a magazine. From the plush cushions on the super comfortable sofa, to the beautiful lamps, pictures, vases, and ornaments. We loved all the nods to Scottish culture. The kitchen was well appointed and the dinnerware stunning. The master bedroom was sumptuous. Stunning decor, linen and beautiful styling. The bed was super comfy too. The bathroom is magnificent with shower and jacuzzi bath and so many extra touches. Thank you Deborah for all the hard work you have put into making us feel like royalty! Also for the sandwiches, cake, milk, chips, chocolates. You certainly deserve nothing under 5 stars, and we would give you 10 if we could.

We had a great weekend in Julie and Paul’s lovely cottage. It was in a perfect location, had everything we needed and was very clean. Would definitely stay here again and very happy to recommend to others.

James was very responsive and helpful when we had a query. Apartment was well appointed and everything was good quality. Would recommend.

House was great very spacious for our group and provided everything we needed. Margaret even welcomed us to bring our dogs 😊

The cottage was easy to find and had good access. It was warm when we arrived which made it feel welcoming. The rooms were spacious, well laid out and had plenty of storage. The living room had plenty of comfy seating. It was very clean and had attractive decor throughout. The bedding was fabulous! It was fully equipped with everything you need. There was easy access to Dumfries and had lovely views all round. Milk was found in the fridge on arrival along with tea, coffee and sugar and the obligatory Scottish shortbread, which was yummy! Had a great stay - highly recommend!

Amazing 300+ years old Grade-2 listed house with fantastic feel still retained. On top Joyce and Lucy are amazing hosts. My 6 year old even struck up a great conversation with Lucy and they started playing a board game of sorts :-) They always kept us informed, and ensured the house is kept warm all time. Easily accessible to some local villages, the beach and also just half an hour away from the Lake districts. Only point I will make is if they can offer a small kitchen facility that will be great for families. Having said that -it wasn't a problem at all as beverage, cutlery and crockeries were all provided. Plus free milk, juice etc. And we actually enjoyed some wonderful takeaways who deliver within 30 mins. Jasmine Palace - the chinese was great.

Nordlys cottage was everything we could ask for and more. From booking to arrival nothing was too much for our hosts Melissa and Luke. Melissa sent me a local tasting evening menu as soon as she saw it so I could book in, she sent me aurora watch updates and a wonderful mobile guide to get me ready for our stay. The house was immaculate, the amenities and decoration was a lovely mix of country and modern, and the little ledge in the garden allowed us to sip wine and watch the sunset. We had a minor issue during our stay and Luke and Melissa replied in seconds to assist us. We managed to resolve the issue and it was all thanks to their help and quick replies. I would recommend staying here in a heartbeat and I would visit again. I have shared with family and friends who were so pleased with the look and feel of the place. It’s the little touches and Melissa and Luke definitely achieved that with this property. Thank you both so much, and please stay here as it’s one in a million!

From the moment it was booked, Gemma kept in contact with me. Brilliant location and Gemma even left us some goodies out which was a lovely touch and made us feel right at home. Beautiful place thank you.

It was a lovely place to stay and despite of no local shops or attractions nearby I would stay there because of the host and the peaceful surrounding. It’s the family’s first time in Cumbria and we experienced poor weather conditions that contributed to cancelled activities etc. However, this is not to do with the host or property. It’d be nice if guests could use the front door as access wasn’t allowed and sometimes wasn’t convenient when taking things in and out of the car. Also, a big pot for family meals would be good to have. Thanks for everything, Claire.

Amazing home 🌸 we had a 1 night stop over while travelling to Scotland for our daughter’s wedding. Everything was as described and more…the only thing I would say is the house is much bigger than it looks in photos, it’s fabulous 🌸

Really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again. We were there to visit relatives so we are familiar with the area but tourists may benefit from a visitors guide. James sent instructions on check-in in advance and was available on his mobile when we had a minor issue. Plenty of fresh towels, clean beds, well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge - everything we needed. Thanks James.

James was just fantastic and his apartment was exceptional. A wonderful and kind host who was extremely helpful. As an AirBNB host myself, i will definitely be changing my own processes to reflect his- absolutely wonderful experience and James is so welcoming, interesting and kind. One in a million.

Beautiful annexe apartment. Everything was spotless and of a high standard and we had everything we needed for our stay. Adrian was quick to respond and both he and wife were lovely, as was Pepper the dog. Loved the croissants provided for us on Sunday morning. The balcony was an added bonus to sit out in the sunshine or look at the stars at night. Would highly recommended.

James was very attentive and friendly. When we had a problem he arrived within minutes. The flat was spacious and had recently been modernised with new kitchen and bathroom. We chose this accommodation as we were at the Jazz Festival and were only a few minutes away from the venues and the town centre. Have no reservations in recommending this accommodation

Lovely little flat- beautiful local artwork on the walls. Really close to the stunning harbour. We will definitely be back!

Warm and cosy with a great shower. The living and sitting room are small but absolutely useable. The bathroom is warm and light and the bedroom is large with lots of storage. Having stayed in many places in the area I would stay here again just for the value for money. Its not the prettiest or most modern but its nice and clean, hot water and heat work well and its a great location. No noise in the bedroom at the back.

Great location, the place itself was immaculately clean with everyone you could need to stay, philip thought of everything. Will def be hoping to stay again in the future.
