Spacious bungalow in a lovely peaceful location. Beds were comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed. We visited a few places and it was good to come back to a cosy, warm home. Nice wee cove a couple of minutes walk from the house which the dog loved. Wilma was lovely and left a very thoughtful gift for us and for the dog! We would love to go back at some point as it would be a fabulous place to see the Northern Lights. Thank you Wilma, for allowing us to stay in your home. We hope to see you in the future!

Evelyn was a great host, the house is lovely, very cosy and peaceful. Great views, shops/supermarkets within a short drive and it’s an ideal base for travelling around Orkney. The beds are super comfy.

A great place to stay for our mixed group of adults and children. The house was warm on arrival and very welcoming. We spent so much time in the kitchen / Dining room cooking meals and playing board games.

A one-of-a-kind stay in an unparalleled location! We so enjoyed reading about the history of the kirk and its caretakers over the years; the island of Hoy is rich with hikes, views, museums, fresh air, and peaceful interludes. Worth the ferry trips to stay here! (Just be advised that if you’re coming at or after the end of September, or arriving on a Sunday, you’d do well to get groceries on the main island ahead of your visit bc there will be few to no options for food service on Hoy. We did and were so grateful we had!)

We were a group of two families and really enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse. Such a beautiful and peaceful spot ! We can’t fault it in anyway, it was much bigger than we expected , with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms with individual bathrooms . The teens loved the games room and appreciated the generous supplies. Thankyou George for a lovely stay and I hope we will be back in the future .

What a beautiful place to stay, the house was so tidy and clean. Very cosy environment and will definitely be back to stay again.

We stayed at the bothy for nearly a week with our Spaniel. The Bothy was perfect for us as a couple visiting Orkney for a week in October. The main room with a double bed and TV is spacious, warm and had a great view. There is a smaller second area with a sofa bed which was super handy for storage of our clothes and cases. The kitchen is tiny but was fine for what we needed. Nigel was a friendly and helpful host.

Anne's place was just as described, cosy and welcoming and the perfect base to explore Orkney. Can't wait to return!

Amazing stay, cottage was in a beautiful location and was well furnished and clean. Lovely kitchen with enough pots pans and utensils to cook anything you need. Made great use of the fire which made the cottage very cosy. On a clear night, you get stunning views of the stars. Kathleen was also very friendly and approachable - wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else next time I come to Hoy!

Lovely flat right in the centre of town. It was bright, spacious and clean. Its within walking distance to the shops, river and beach. Debbie was a great host and let us know everything we needed to before we arrived. We had a great stay and would recommend to anyone!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. It was a great jumping off point for visiting local attractions and also a comfortable and cozy place to just hang out.

Lovely place to stay, excellent views across the hillside. Good selection of books and a few games, comfy bed and hot shower. Had a day trip to Egilsay and enjoyed multiple Cairns on Rousay itself. Very relaxing stay.

Absolutely amazing. Beautiful view of the beach and surrounding area. We got lucky and saw the northern lights! The place was super cozy. Loved the extra effort the hosts put in to make sure we had everything we needed, which included a dog bed, doggy treats and board games. The Christmas tree and bottle of Prosecco were a much appreciated bonus. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends.

it's hard to find somewhere to stay with 4 dogs, Yvonne had no issues with them,very dog friendly as it's totally fenced in and has a dog park 20 yards from the pod. beautifully clean, more amenities than advertised, tea, coffee, sugar, oil , salt and pepper, it was home from home but way more relaxing! hot tub was excellent, private garden to relax with a BBQ whilst perusing the view over the fields to the water. comfortable bed and fold out bed, shower was great too, free shampoo and conditioner and body wash, fluffy white towels. she even left me 5 dog bowls and 4 dog towels, seems she's thought of everything. will definitely recommend. ❤️

If I could have given 6 out of 5 stars I would have. Loved this place and will be back. The upstairs bedroom with the bath was special. Top host too. Great communication. Couldn’t fault the experience. Thanks for having us

The cottage was very cozy and comfortable. Well equipped, had everything we needed and some nice touches over and above expectation. Would recommend Kilburn Cottage for a quiet, cozy, relaxing break from normal.

Most amazing location and Helen was so accommodating she made us feel so at home. We took our dogs and she was so kind in giving us towels and bowls for them aswel. We absolutely loved the Cabin, Sanday is definitely worth the trip up there, it was overall a fantastic experience and we would recommend Helen’s cabin to everyone!

Great little cabin, stayed here for 4 nights as a family. Very peaceful and what a lovely view from the hot tub.! This was a lovely little addition to the stay.
