Getting there was quite tricky as the dirt road leading to the location was in a very bad state after all the recent rains. But super friendly staff member came on a motorbike to meet us and guide the rest of the way. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed, like doing the laundry for example. Highly recommend staying here!

When traveling for business, I look for a quiet, private space where I can truly unwind — and this BnB delivered perfectly. Not once did I experience any noise. The surroundings are peaceful, with trees adding a serene touch. Mitchelle calls it a homestay, and it genuinely feels like one. The cleanliness was impressive. Frank (day guard) and Zakayo (night guard) were warm, respectful, and professional. It’s close to the CBD and just minutes from the airport. If you’re not cooking, delivery options make meals super easy. And yes — the chickens are so well-kept and quiet, you’ll only notice them when they’re calmly free-ranging in the backyard. I’m a happy client and this is now my go-to stay in Kisumu. Well done, Mitchelle!

I had a wonderful stay in this place. I could walk anywhere that I wanted to go in Kisumu and appreciated having reliable internet, a fan and refrigerator to keep cool, and a comfortable bed. Elizabeth was a very gracious host and I appreciated everything that she did for me to ensure that I had a great stay.

Albert's place is the best place to stay while at Kisumu. The house is near the city and has most amenities you would require. Albert is great at communication.

Thesha Hotel in the Bright Light district was way more than we ever expected. Such great service and hospitality. We had five of us and we rented the 3 bedroom apartment. Each room had its own bathroom with shower. All the beds had mosquito nets. The windows had screens. There was a nice balcony. The breakfast every morning was fried egg, sausage, and some different starch. Always cooked fresh for you and delivered with hot tea. It was easy to get a Boda Boda or tuk tuk at the road and was real close to the airport. Overall great stay and would hands down stay they any other time I go to Kisumu.
