The apartment is very central and walkable to a lot of restaurants and places. Free parking at the big church is a huge plus. It does get a little noisy at night and morning as it’s a busy street. It’s a trade off between remote and convenience. We (5) enjoyed our stay

Stefania's place was indeed a very modern and elegant apartment in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed there for 2 nights and loved it. Check in and check out was very easy based on the instructions provided.

Sesselja provides all the information you need before you arrive and is very responsive if you have any questions or problems. A small problem with the shower was solved within a few hours, with the gift of a good dessert! The flat is well equipped, so I didn't lack anything during my week. The city centre can be reached on foot in 15 minutes and there are plenty of shops within walking distance. Thank you for everything!

Great location and perfect size for our family of 3. Recommendations were great, especially the local pool. Beds were comfortable and the neighborhood quiet.

We loved staying in Anna's apartment! She is an amazing and kind hostess. The apartment looks even better than the pictures, very clean and comfortable. Includes all the amenities you could need and the location, although not in the center, it's really accessible (if you rent a car) and the neighborhood is nice. The building has an elevator which was a plus. Would stay there again.

An exceptional experience. The place was cozy, perfectly located, quiet. And Jon couldn't have been a better host. Super responsive and accommodating, checked in to make sure I got in ok and even offered a later checkout if I needed. Highly recommend!

Gísli's place was perfect! Clean, well equipped, comfortable, centrally located with a gorgeous view of Hallgrímskirkja. Cute deck, from which we were lucky enough to see the northern lights. it was a short walk to most of the places we wanted to see and there are great restaurant and café options close by. Gísli was communicative and helpful every step of the way! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We really enjoyed Asa's place. It was very clean and had everything you would need: dishes, utensils, a book with detailed instructions on every major appliance in the house. Asa responded quickly to our queries and was very nice over messages, we did not see each other face to face. We would love to be back some day 🙂

Home was warm and welcoming and Tara and Oskar were responsive and kind hosts.

Lilja was easy to communicate with and the home is lovely with great water pressure and a very modern kitchen. We enjoyed using the grill and ate outside on the deck. Walking to Laugardalslaug was easy, only 3 minutes away.

Nice house in in good area, a lot of space and light. Many games and toys for kids! 10 min by walk to the bus terminal.

The apartment was a perfect base for a week of exploring the West of Iceland. It is located on a beautiful peninsula which was peaceful to walk around in the evenings, whilst being close enough to the centre of Reykjavik to be able to easily explore. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, modern and comfortable. Thura was a very responsive host, replying quickly to any messages. We would definitely recommend the apartment to others.

Bjarni’s place was amazing for our group of 10, everyone had their own space. The house itself was very big and walkable to everything in the city! The house was clean, and had enough towels and dishwater for everyone during our stay. He was quick to respond with any questions we had as well. The sauna was a huge plus as well! Highly recommend!

We chose this home because it was affordable and minutes from family that we were visiting for the first time. We were concerned it was too good to be true; however, it exceeded our expectations! The views from the driveway were stunning, mountains and Northern lights. We were traveling with 5 adults and 3 children. Had plenty of space and the kids enjoyed the toys!!! Enjoyed the walking trails and playground close to the home.

I loved staying at this listing. If I’m ever back in Iceland, I will be staying here without a doubt. The place was very clean and matched the description and pictures. Fridleifur was very helpful, and gave us clear instructions on how to check in. There is a mall and a grocery store, just a short walk away. If you’re planning on taking public transport, the bus that takes you to the city is a 3 minutes walk away. And for excursions, it’s a 24 minute walk to Terminal 1. Several people have mentioned the lack of a microwave but we were able to cook and reheat our food in the oven just fine. We did have trouble with the stove- although Fridleifur tried his best to help us- we just couldn’t figure it out, but if you’re used to European induction stoves you’ll most likely be fine. Icelandic tap water is amazing, so just bring a reusable water bottle, and there’s no need to buy wall plug adapters as there are 2 or 3 in the Airbnb. Thank you, Fridleifur! Takk fyrir :)

Fantastic place! my wife and 16 year old daughter found this apartment to be incredibly clean, beautiful and central to everything you want in downtown Reykjavik. This was our 2nd time in Reykjavik and we loved this airbnb apartment. The apartment is very spacious with a huge kitchen for having drinks, listening to music or enjoying breakfast. We plan on coming back to Iceland and will stay here again. It has excellent reviews which it deserves.

Stop! Look no further if you are looking for the perfect place to stay in Reykjavik. This penthouse is spacious, beautifully decorated, very well equipped for whatever you may need, and sparkling clean. The hosts were fantastic— they communicated with us clearly and honestly and provided everything they said they would. We recommend them as highly as possible and would definitely return here on our next Icelandic adventure.

Wir könnten nicht glücklicher sein. Es war für uns der letzte Stopp unserer Winterreise und die Gemütlichkeit der Unterkunft hätte uns fast nicht mehr nach Hause fliegen lassen. Die Wohnung ist noch schöner als auf den Fotos und das einfache Leben durch die unmengen an Gewürzen, Tees, Kaffee hat das entspannte Erlebnis abgerundet. Man sollte keine Schwierigkeiten mit (wenn auch kurzen) steilen Treppen haben. Für uns eine ganz klare 10/10! Wir kommen gerne wieder, sollten wir nochmal nach Island reisen. Lisa is the best! Received the warmest most hospitable welcome to Iceland, with local tips and treats for my stay. The flat is super cozy, clean and quiet; perfect place to rest after spending hours at airports and traveling.
