Great place! Loved the pedal boat option. Perhaps not so ideal if you have toddlers because the staircase does not have rails. Minor issue really and other than that we had a good stay.

Sue is a fantastic and very sweet host! She was always quick to respond. The house had a lovely holiday feel to it.

The house was incredible and the amenities were fantastic. The house had everything we needed and more. We really felt welcome and at home. Beautiful decor. There were a couple good restaurants and grocery stores nearby, although the store area and surrounding neighborhood felt a bit sketchy at times. The neighborhood where the house is felt very safe and comfortable to walk in.

We were a group of 5 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ferrybridge House. The setting is beautiful overlooking the river and mountains as was the incredible birdlife while enjoying our morning coffee. The house is spotless, secure and has everything one needs. Stanford village is charming, we walked along the river and had an exceptional supper at Rivergate farm as per your recommendation. we will definitely be back

We fell in love with the village of Stanford and the soul restoring River Home. This beautiful house is right on the river's edge and is a real treat (and retreat) to stay in. Just the place to surrender to nature, listen to the birdsong, rest and restore. We loved walking along the delightful river path. A short walk into the centre of town will bring you to several delightful restaurants. We ate at three of them (for lunch at Madré we enjoyed a really good pork belly with crispy skin and vegetables, at La Trattoria we had a feast of authentic Italian food and Agteros has a menu full of delightful South African dishes done with a modern twist). We also brownsed in some delightful homewear and gift shops. If you prefer eating at home, the kitchen at River House has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. It is spotless, has a great gas hob and electric oven and a dishwasher for cleaning up after.

Beautiful house in stunning area with wonderful views. Very comfy beds and great bath. Great security and we enjoyed our walk around the soutpan.

This apartment is a little gem. It’s got everything you need for a nice stay, loved and appreciated the coffee set up. The view is amazing. There are several restaurants and a coffee shop with a few blocks. The city bus stops close by and the hop on hop off bus is just down the street. Everything was just lovely- great host too!

Klein aber fein. Schönes, sauberes Apartment. Super in der Nähe des Strandes gelegen. Janine und Trevor sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Gerne wieder.

The location is so perfect. The host was amazing. Great commucation as well. The host even suggested a few places we could visit during our stay. Karen also made our stay so worthwhile, and the check in was seamless

Even though we had horrible weather the days we stayed at the house, we still had an amazing time. The house has a nice fire place to make the experience cozy during cold or rainy weather. The kitchen is perfectly stocked, the beds are very comfortable and the view is spectacular even during stormy weather. Close to Hermanus and Stanford but also nice and remote so that we could properly disconnect. We could not have been happier.

We (family of 4 including 2 small boys aged 4 and 2) had an awesome stay here. The place is absolutely beautiful and great for kids. Lots of space to run around, a nice pool and several farm animals (sheep, turkeys and donkeys). Our kids also got to feed the animals. Renier and Shané were lovely hosts and the communication very easy. We would love to stay here again next time we are in Stellenbosch!

Very peaceful and quiet spot yet easily walkable into Franschhoek centre with lots of lovely restaurants and shops and of course the wine tram! We loved the stunning view of the mountains and the outdoor area with hot tub as well as bath/shower was pretty cool! Nicola was a great host, very responsive and clear instructions - the cottage itself is comfy and very private and we loved the natural surroundings. Great for exploring the wonders of Franschhoek!

Super host indeed. Felt fortunate to share their family holiday home. It added to the warmth of family feeling for myself and my family as we spent Christmas at the holiday house. We spent far too little time and needed just another few days. I have not seen my parents that content in a long time. It was homely and had everything I needed, especially over the Christmas time. Sharps knives, nice stemmed wine glasses, more than sufficient and a nice variety of crockery and cutlery to entertain. An old time family holiday home. Where memories are preserved. The cottage was private and plenty of outside space for our beach toys and dogs.
