First experience with Air BNB and I’m certain Maureen has set the bar too high for other AirBNB stays we take part in. Everything was perfect. The location is remote, but it is exactly what we needed to rest and recharge. So many personal touches!! I don’t want to spoil those for anyone else, but they made us feel welcome from the moment we set foot in this adorable little house. We loved visiting with each other in the kitchen/dining/living room space. Thank you so much!!

Stunning view! Beautiful home! We loved waking up to sit down at the dock or sit on the couch and just look out the beautiful windows. The kitchen is fantastic! The bathrooms were spotless. We’ll definitely be back. One note- stop off and get groceries before you arrive. It’s remote enough that when you get there you don’t want to leave.

Melissa and Brian were excellent hosts. The cottage was adorable, it was peaceful and relaxing. Sitting on the deck in the morning/evening was a plus to watching ducks, geese and having your coffee. We had a small water issue. I contacted Melissa and she was right on it. Brian was at the cottage in less than 30 minutes. He took care of it and no issue after that. I would highly recommend this property and hopefully return again.

It’s easy to be one of the favorites houses we stayed through Airbnb. The house seems renovated not long ago, it looks new and everything is clean. We loved all the decoration details, feel like a home away home. Did I mention I Loved loved the swing chair??!! ;) woke up in the morning with the gorgeous sunlight and lake view. Will definitely stay longer next time :)

We really enjoyed our stay at Penny’s house! The barn is absolutely beautiful. Please be aware that this is not a private home, even though it’s listed as such. Penny is clear in the description that she lives on the ground floor, and the kitchen and living room are shared spaces. That being said, if that’s what you’re expecting, this is a charming stay and a great base point for exploring the area. Our dog had an absolute blast playing in the yard and we deeply appreciated Penny’s hospitality.

We loved staying at Aimee and Justin’s cottage. The house is beautiful and clearly meant to be an Air bnb, meaning no clutter, beautiful layout and extra supplies in case you forgot salt and pepper etc. Aimee was very helpful in her communications, offering suggestions for restaurants, outdoor activities and very responsive. We loved the area as we like outdoor activities, and there is plenty to do and see within 30 minutes driving. Thanks again! Britt and Cam

Gorgeous location and very functional home. We were there during winter and loved the frozen water and lovely surroundings. Took nice walks. Look forward to coming back in summer!

we stayed twice for 5 days at a time and it was a great get away to relax.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and cozy cottage. It is newly redone, very nicely decorated, and equipped with everything we needed. We appreciated not having complicated instructions for the house- everything was very straightforward and clearly designed for people to have a comfortable stay. The location was great- easy access to Camden and Rockport. The lake is pretty, clean, and having a private dock was really amazing. Kate was very responsive and helpful.

Peaceful, welcoming, rural lake retreat. Great for family! Easy day trips to the ocean in Rockland as well! Host was friendly and great communication! Road to cabin is dirt/gravel, SUV or raised vehicle is best. We loved sleeping on the screen-in porch and hearing the loons at night! Hoping to go back again! Thank you!

Quintessential coastal rural Maine--rustic, historic barn converted to home, within steps to views of Penobscot bay, and the incredible hiking trails of the Holbrook Island Sanctuary. The upstairs gaming room/den is a fantastic retreat in the after hours of exploring this scenic region. Hosts are respectful, warm and welcoming, the kind of neighbors you wish for.

A rustic, cozy cabin in the woods close to everything. Best part for us was the wood burning stove. We loved nothing more than sitting by the fire reading our books.

Janine’s place was beyond what I expected! The space is much bigger than the photos show and the surrounding area is so quiet and peaceful but close enough to surrounding towns & trails. My husband and I stayed here with a couple friends for a wedding and we had such a lovely time kayaking, reading by the lake, and making breakfast each morning. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful lake with superb access. Cabin was very comfortable and use of laundry was essential. Also had use of kayaks and paddle board which was so much fun. Everything listed on amenity list was there and in great condition. Beds were great. Had a wonderful week there and would definitely return. Thanks to Erin who answered all my questions right away, and made our stay comfortable.

I loved my stay and Salisbury Camp. I was there in October during peak foliage and the view from every window was just stunning! The interior is beautiful, everything is high-end and well-done. Huge kitchen that had everything I needed. The yard is right on the shore, there’s a solo stove, kayaks and a canoe, and it’s just a peaceful spot to relax. Jenny was very helpful and proactive in all communications, and even provided welcome treats from Stonewall Kitchen, along with a bottle of wine. I had to leave a day early due to a family medical emergency and she was so thoughtful and kind. My only regret is that I didn’t get to use one of the kayaks to explore the pond. Next time! I definitely plan to return, this is such a wonderful spot!
