We had an amazing stay! The location is great and the patio was a great place to gather and braai in the evenings. The furniture was extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were spotless, not to mention the amazing water pressure in the showers! The WiFi was great and never gave us any issues. All in all a great stay for families, has everything you need. Highly recommended!

Maria made us feel right at home. The place is incredible, and the furniture is equally impressive. We mostly followed the recommendations they gave us. The house is situated in a very safe area, just a 5-minute walk from a restaurant and a coffee shop. The beach is just a 10-minute walk away. It’s the perfect place to stay with a baby. We used the barbecue and beach chairs. Knysna is an ideal break on the Garden Route. We would have stayed longer if we could have!

Such a beautiful, huge house all to ourselves. The view from the porch is stunning!!! Absolutely everything is supplied and the hosts are so friendly and welcoming.

Das Haus entspricht genau den Bildern – modern, stilvoll und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, und der Wohn-, Ess- und Küchenbereich im ersten Stock bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Heads und das angrenzende Vogelschutzgebiet. Besonders abends ist es faszinierend, das Naturschauspiel zu beobachten. Jaco war unglaublich freundlich, jederzeit erreichbar und eine große Hilfe. Insgesamt ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt – das Haus ist definitiv eine Empfehlung wert!

We had an incredible few days at the house in Knysna! It was so comfortable and inviting that we never wanted to leave. We enjoyed swimming, braaiing and relaxing while watching movies together. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, plus some lovely extras. The rooms were clean and the bed really comfortable .The owners Kate and Grant, were incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. I would absolutely love to return whenever possible. It was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend it!

We felt very comfortable in this house. The rooms & facilities were great and we loved the outside area. The house was quite airy but sometimes I missed having a bit more daylight. The island is super safe and private, and some very nice restaurants were in walking distance. As someone who is not used to this kind of living, I found it quite unique and interesting staying in such a gated community.

A Fantastic Stay at Karin and Rod’s Place! We recently had the pleasure of staying at Karin and Rod’s place, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! From the moment we arrived, Karin drove out to meet us at a shop nearby. They made us feel right at home with their warm hospitality and helpful nature. The place itself was fantastic—clean, comfortable, beautiful sea views!!! Waking up to sea breeze and the sound of the ocean was bliss!! Every detail was well taken care of, making it a perfect home away from home - the folks loved the coziness. Karin and Rod went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We loved every moment of our stay and will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend this gem !!

Communication with the host was very easy and the check in procedure was explained in detail prior to our arrival along with numerous other relevant bits of information and suggestions for local amenities. The property was clean and as described and as per the photographs which we appreciated. Great location near to the centre of Knysna but a short and cheap taxi ride is suggested in the evening so we had no issues getting around. I would gladly recommend Carla's place and would stay again on a return trip.

Dawn is an excelent host. The communication is great and she also recommended us various attractions nearby. The house we stayed played a huge part on our trip to Knysna being so great. It's beautiful, tidy, cozy, safe. We also liked the location: close to a grocery store and only a few-minutes drive to the Waterfront and the Heads. And there's nothing better than starting the day having breakfast at the balcony looking at the lagoon.

Great location and the flat was very clean. Michael was very helpful and accommodating as our plans changed last minute. Would recommend if you need a place for a few days and central location.

Das Apartment (the Gull) ist ein absoluter Geheim Tipp. Ruth kümmert sich herzlichst um Ihre Gäste und gibt alles um den Aufenthalt perfekt zu machen. Für Selbstversorger ist die Küche ein Juwel. Besonders erwähnenswert ist die makellose Sauberkeit in der gesamten Unterkunft. Ergänzt wird die Unterkunft von einer großzügigen Terrasse, einen wunderschönen Garten und direktem Zugang zum Meer. Der Strand vor dem Apartment lädt zu langen Spaziergängen ein. Overall, a really nice accommodation, very clean and modern. I wish we could’ve stayed longer! It was close to all the places we wanted to go to. The only downside was that we were woken up by some dogs barking in the morning. The host provided lots of nice tea and coffee. We had a great stay.

The open plan design of the apartment is modern and spacious and still provides privacy and allows for quiet moments while you take in the stunning views of the lagoon. The attention to detail across the apartment, including the rooftop terrace makes your holistic experience phenomenal. The apartment is easily accessed and is situated in the heart of the vibrant Thesen island, close to great restaurants, shopping and a host of outdoor experiences! Andre is a responsive host who understands hospitality and what it takes to make an unforgettable experience!

Wonderful place to stay. The apartment was big, it was very well equipped with all that you can think of. We loves every moment we lived there, and regretted that we should have lived there for couple of more days. Location and views of the apartment are also good.

We only had one night but could happily have stayed much longer. It is very spacious, has good beds, safe parking and wonderful views of the area while being very close to the centre. The apartment has everything you could possibly need with lots of useful extras in the bathroom and kitchen. Peter is very friendly and proactive and on hand to sort anything you should need.
