I always happened to rent in one of his places, he is very easy to communicate, no problem, place was very nice and safe, if i go back there i would rent his place again, very affordable and very clean

We come to Kodiak every year for the fishing. That said we weren't at the house during the daytime but the views of the harbor with boats going by in the evening and the kitchen had many extras like spices, dish soap, laundry soap made Okiyo’s place stand out.

Really enjoyed our holiday stay! They decorated the house for the holidays which was so nice! A very comfortable home with lots of sitting area, great views and a big, nice kitchen. Wonderful views of the bay from the windows too!

Great stay! Easy check in. I thought from the pictures that I had more of a view, but regardless the view and amenities were incredible. The place is on the water with a lovely beach to walk around and a place to put a kayak in- wish they had a kayak but I found another to use! It’s the perfect spot to watch the sunrise. The trampoline and swing are so fun to add 5mins of playtime in the day. The apartment is really homey and cute! There’s a multitude of books to read about many topics and Kodiak in particular. The bed was very comfy. Kitchen/bathroom/laundry were all great. The lavender laundry soap made my clothes smell so good! The fireplace was such a lovely addition to the ambience and warmth! The rooms got down to 63 and 65 degrees F sometimes on windier days, but at least in front of the fireplace it was warmer! I tried to make meet neighbors but didn’t have much luck; regardless it was a very safe area. Location is perfect and close to everything. Will stay here again!

So lovely with an amazing views and great set up with all the amenities you need to be very comfortable a a peaceful place with sea otters on occasion right out front and also close to town too! We are so happy with choosing Okiyo’s place highly recommend it and would absolutely choose it again in a heartbeat!

Great place, very nicely decorated, great location and lots of space. Neighbors were quiet and someone even left their leftover quarters in the laundry.

We had a fantastic stay on Whale Island and spent most of our 4 days with hiking, lying on the beach and observing sea otters and birds. Kat was herself present at the other cabin and made us feel very welcome. She is really a great host and also helped us with getting to the island, after our initial plan to cone via floatplane didn‘t work due to the weather conditions on the arrival day. Thereafter we enjoyed only sunshine and even had a swim in the cold Pacific.
