Lovely house and beautiful decor, we really enjoyed the tatami and the clean design. The house is spacious and can easily house 7, but 5 is likely the max for a comfortable stay as there's only one toilet. Yuka-san was very responsive and polite, a lot of local pubs, eateries nearby that were great. Parking was also convenient.

the house is lovely, clean and peaceful. located within walk distance from the JR station. two spacious bedrooms with futons on the tatami inside is enough for the family. Only 2 concerns from us. First only toilet on the 1st floor which might be inconvenient at night as you need to step from stair to get there. Second the house has a limitation of electricity usage, when using 2 heaters together during winter night (-5c), it will cause a power outage even it turn back to normal automatically within 5-10 seconds but you cant use 2 heaters together during winter. this is something to be aware of if you're staying during the winter of Aomori. Other else about this house was excellent.

We absolutely loved our time at Kumiko’s guest house. It was quaint, peaceful and very comfortable. Loved sleeping in the warm beds and sitting on the tatami while we chatted. The house was spotless and included all the amenities we were looking for. The main living room was particularly delightful, presenting a very calm and restful space. The house and guest house are surrounded by a lovely garden with spring flowers and herbs and roses just leafing out in April. Kumiko was a wonderful host. She was very friendly and responsive and had lots of good suggestions about places to see and to go for dining. Also her English was very good, which was helpful since our Japanese was not. Overall our 3 day stay was a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend Kumiko’s guest house to anyone staying in the Hachinohe area. Our only regret was that we could not see her garden in the height of its blooming season. The roses in June must be spectacular.

Sejour très court mais extrêmement agréable ! Kiyohito est un hôte très attentionné, qui est venu nous chercher à la gare et nous a déposé très tôt au ferry le lendemain. Nous n'avons pas l'habitude d'être aussi bien reçu. La maison était parfaite et nous aurions bien aimé y rester plus longtemps ! L'emplacement est un peu compliqué si vous êtes à pied mais c'est calme et agréable ! Un très grand merci !

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt. Das Haus ist wunderschön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Gastgeber ist sehr, sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und steht mit Rat und Tat zur Seite.

Our stay at Cottage Hideaway was wonderful! We were able to find the location easily, and Aki met us and helped us check in easily. The cabin was beautiful and spotlessly clean. We were plenty warm even during snow storms with a combination of electric split systems, kerosene heaters, and a cozy fire place. The property was beautiful and huge! Our kids spent most of their time playing outside in the snow. Aki was great to work with. He was very proactive in providing recommendations for restaurants and ski resorts, checking on our needs, and even plowing the snow off the driveway every morning. We will remember our time in Aomori fondly.

This was an amazing place right by Hirosaki Castle. Located a short walking distance from the restaurant center. Will book again!
