Extremely well stocked with supplies and all sorts of gadgets and home comforts. Christmas decorations and a small gift for each of the children along with a bottle and chocolates were such a thoughtful and nice touch as we were staying over Christmas Day. Just bear in mind it’s a tourist attraction so if you don’t lock the door you may get an unexpected visitor. We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of character and very homely.

We truly, truly enjoyed our stay at Kristine’s place at the end of our trip. It was relaxing, peaceful, private, and felt so cozy—like a home away from home. The hot tub was the cherry on top! On the day we left, we had the pleasure of meeting Kristine in person, which was a lovely way to wrap things up. We can absolutely recommend staying here. Thank you for hosting us, and hopefully we’ll see each other again sometime soon!

This was a beautiful cottage just 20 minutes outside Reykjavik, the perfect location to discover the city and do the golden circle. We even saw the northern lights from the property! Was perfect for three adults, one couple (my parents) and myself. Bunk beds are small but so am I—not a problem at all for us but is something to be mindful of 🙂. The setting in he nature preserve allowed me to go on beautiful daily trail runs which were incredible.

The cabin was lovely. It felt very warm and inviting. The hosts were very informative from check in, to local recommendations and check out. The surroundings were beautiful. The location was just off the golden circle which was perfect. I would recommend staying here and hope we get to come back!

Absolutely incredible! Our first time in Iceland and this stay was out of this world. Was so amazing! Perfect for couples. The views were breath taking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back when we return to Iceland 🇮🇸 waking up in the snow was such a great experience. Could not recommend this enough and have recommended!

Checkin was a breeze and Alfa was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. Truly a beautiful home with everything you need, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Views from the home are absolutely stunning and the interior is very warm and welcoming. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to visit again.

Kristin‘s place was fully stocked, extremely easy to find and flexible timing when checking in and checking out! It was peaceful and a beautiful location. I would recommend this to anybody who has a family or traveling with multiple families.

We had a great time at the cabin! Actually, one of the highlights was our host Ylfa, who was always very helpful, provided a lot of very detailed information up front and reacted very quickly to all remaining questions we had - the communication was really a pleasure to us and on a level I have not experienced on Airbnb before. About the cabin: Our kids (3 and 6 years old) very much liked what they referred to as "the play cave", which is the upstairs sleeping loft. The kitchen is well equipped with all necessary things needed, far exceeding what would be minimal kitchen setup. Another highlight to us was the hot tub, which we used almost every day (despite wind and a bit of rain outside). The open view towards the west is very suitable to search for Northern Lights in the dark or just watch the stars. We mainly used the cabin as our homebase to different day tours around in western Iceland. In total, we really had a great time!

The cabin was thoughtfully decorated. Also, a private and peaceful place close to bigger town and outdoor attractions.
