We had an amazing stay at Sue's in Kundasang. The highlight was definitely the breathtaking view of the Mount KK. Sue's place is well-maintained, and the staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring that everything was in order throughout our stay. I also appreciate how responsive Sue was, quick to address any queries, making the whole experience smooth and hassle-free. If you’re looking for a stay with stunning scenery and great hospitality, this is the perfect spot. :)

Kingsley was a great host. Very responsive to messages and helped us with our booking request especially when it’s quite urgent. The property was very spacious and had a spectacular view of the Mount Kinabalu. We had a pleasant stay at the property.

We had a lovely stay at Margaret's place.. It felt like home as soon as we arrived and Margaret was very warm and welcoming and even helped us get into town late at night to get food. The layout is an open kitchen dining style on the ground floor - open to the cool breeze. Fairly basic but everything worked. Nice big table for our group to enjoy. Upstairs a cozy living room and comfy bedrooms awaited with nice views of the local hills and Mount K towards the rear. We found it a little hard to find the place - signage could be improved but once we were in we had a lovely time. Highly recommend for families (not kids under 6 due to stairs/balcony) large groups who want to spend some quality time together but also have their own space. Please note washing machine is manual (we didn't try it out) and Margaret stays in the property (in a private section) on hand to help if needed which was great for local tips and felt more like a homestay which we enjoyed

place is new and host is extremely responsive. if you are looking for a place that can fit the whole family, then look no further. infact they have a connecting doors to the next houses. place is clean too! we had a really nice stay

Catherine's place is located at the golf course next to ausvilla. Very spacious and cosy. A short walk up the track allows for amazing views of Mt Kinabalu early in the morning while the balcony of the rooms have great sunrise views. Highly recommended for a family trip together. Great place to do BBQ and steamboat too!

I had an unforgettable experience staying at this charming Japanese Theme retreat. I love the nice wooden design of the unit, with stunning scenery facing Mt Kinabalu. The cleanliness of the place making me feel right at home. The atmosphere was wonderfully quiet, providing the perfect setting for a peaceful escape. It was such a treat to stumble upon Totoro and other beloved characters as I explored the grounds. And beautiful sound of wind bells…and nice smell of Tuberose at night. Guests could rent Yukatas for free, which added another surprise to us. Noting that the retreat is about 10 minutes from the main road, and the drive can be a bit bumpy, but it was a minor inconvenience compared to the overall experience. This retreat is a hidden gem for those looking to unwind in a tranquil environment, with stunning scenery, impeccable cleanliness, and delightful Japanese elements created a truly unforgettable stay.

As a glamping novice, we had an amazing two night stay at the Mountain Camp hosted by SK and his wife. SK and his wife were friendly, easy to communicate with and gave us clear instructions. There were both tent and cabin set up. Both were squeaky clean and well maintained. The outdoor area where we prepared our meals were adequately equipped too. Our 2.5 year old son loved to hang out there, under close supervision. Situated in Mesilau, we woke up to the majestic view of Mt Kinabalu. There is also a beautiful stream just a stone’s throw away. The private and serene environment provides the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The stargazing night was magical. SK and wife were attuned to our needs as a young family, and provided us a variety of suitable options to fully enjoy the quiet nature and its surroundings. We truly appreciate the place and would love to come back!
