This property is a wonderful place to stay near Ruka, clean and modern and with all features as described for a comfortable stay. We spent the Christmas holidays here and it was so magical in the setting with the immediate view of the first from the living room area. The whole place has been thoughtfully designed to be functional, practical and aesthetically beautiful, we had no complaints. The log fire and sauna works perfectly and the kitchen fully equipped to cook in. We walked to Ruka (about one hour) where there are restaurants, a small supermarket and all skiing facilities. We used taxis to return from here or to go on excursions further afield which worked much better than car hire for us. There is a lot to do in the area, many sporting activities as well as winter activities such as husky rides, reindeers, snowmobiling, cross country skiing etc. We would absolutely stay here again and thank you Tero for being a great host!

Mukava mökki rauhallisella paikalla, ihana rantasauna, hyvät hiihtoladut lähtivät ihan läheltä mökkirantaa. Mökki vastasi täsmälleen annettua kuvausta. Täydellinen paikka rauhalliseen lomanviettoon ja irtautumiseen hektisestä arjesta.

We had an absolutely amazing week at the cabin. The surroundings were stunning and peaceful. The cabin itself was great, brand new and extremely warm and comfortable with everything you need. It was so easy to park the car and access the cabin. The sauna was fantastic and the views from every window of the beautiful forest and lake were unforgettable. Ritta was really helpful and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The location is idealic. Endless incredible walking trails within easy access. Ruka and Kuusamo are close by if you need a supermarket or restaurant. We rented a snow mobile in Ruka which was great and went to Pizzeria Ruka one night which was really good. I would definitely come back, Lapland is heaven and the most beautiful place I've been. We even saw the Northern Lights on our last night, a perfect end to our holiday!

This log cabin in the woods by the side of a lake was absolutely magical. The pictures don't do it justice. there were sleds and snow shoes left outside and we had a wonderful time snowshoeing across the frozen lake. there is a plunge pool at the end of the garden but none of us were brave enough to try it! Olga was a lovely host and had everything including the hot tub ready for our arrival. It was lovely sitting in the tub at night looking up at the northern lights when it was -17 outside. The cabin was spotless and toasty warm. It's about 20 mins from Rukka and 30 from kussomo depending on the weather. a snow plough even came down the laneway to the house during our stay to clear it. The main roads were easy to drive on if you took your time. There's loads of activities to do near by, Santa's cottage, skiing, snowmobiles, husky and reindeer rides etc. we also spent 2 days in rov before our stay here and honestly this location is much better. I'm already planning our next trip!

Villa suo-yrkänperä on upea, museomainen rauhan ja luonnon tyyssija. Metsästysmaat löytyvät läheltä ja paikassa saa todella nauttia rauhassa lomastaan. Kantovesi ja sähköttömyys sopivat tähän paikkaan. Aleksi on loistava majoittajat ja valmis auttamaan tarpeen tullen. Kaikki meni juuri kuten oli sovittukin.

The most incredible host from booking right through to leaving. I had issues with my payment which Hans was so lovely about, he set up decorations and a little surprise for my husband on arrival as we were there for his 30th birthday and booked dinner reservations for us. Nothing was too much hassle for him, he always replied very quickly and i felt confident that if we had had any issues he would have sorted it out straight away for us. The accommodation was magical! It was so peaceful amd cosy, just felt like we were tucked up in our own little corner of the world. The views over the lake weather we were in bed, the hottub, or sauna were incredible and watching the aurora dance overhead was just better than I can describe. Everyone should visit this beautiful place once in their life ❤️ Thankyou Hans for the most perfect airbnb experience we've ever had!

Maria is a kind host. Her home is beautiful and warm, in the middle of winter. The kitchen was very cute and well stocked with appliances and amenities - perfect for our trip. The Finnish sauna in the day and Auroras in the night by the frozen lake were a special treat. Would stay here again!

Über den Aufenthalt bei Salme kann man nur positives berichten. Sie war immer gut erreichbar, versuchte zu helfen wo sie konnte und bei Problemen kam Sie auch umgehend im Haus vorbei um dir zu helfen. Das Haus ist nicht groß aber super toll eingerichtet und hat alles an Grundausstattung was man für ein paar entspannte Tage ob im Sommer oder im Winter benötigt. Klare Empfehlung!
