Akiko’s hosting was exactly what I was looking for when traveling to Japan - an opportunity to experience the Japanese culture in the most natural way. The family is so friendly, and the location is great (a suburb which allows you to visit both Kyoto and Osaka, but also a great place by itself to relax in a local restaurant/ bar); I only wish that I knew in advance that the calligraphy / kimono ceremony is not included in the price… and yet, it does not diminish the 5-star review that she deserves. Simply said - I enjoyed a lot and I highly recommend the place and the people 😊

来京都的动力，很大部分来自于洋子的住处。洋子像是家人一样照顾我，房间很温馨，整洁，每天都会精心准备早餐。洋子还会和我讨论日本的文化，给我推荐当地的好吃的好玩的地方。我到达的时候洋子一直在门口守候着，一直关心有没有吃过，让人感动！临走的时候还教我抹茶做法，帮我买了好多相纸，很感谢洋子，我会向所有人推荐洋子的住处！

nous avons passé un très bon séjour, nous avons pu profiter du petit déjeuner deux fois et l'appartement est facile d'accès via le train pour visiter kyoto et ses alentours

Larry was a great host, Providing great recommendations and telling us the right timings to do items as to avoid crowds and picked us up from the train station which really helped with our baggage, Couldn’t recommend a stay here more!

Keiko女士的美丽的房子坐落在安静迷人的山上，房子是非常传统的日式风格，住在这里能体验到浓浓的当地的氛围。Keiko把花园打理得非常美丽自然，最值得称赞的是Keiko每天精心做的从不重复的早餐，真的是美味至极！比我在外面吃的午餐和晚餐还要更丰盛。Keiko女士亲切善良，还会每天开车接送客人，在车上我们聊得非常开心愉快，我还学习到了好多日语。我这次已经深深爱上了京都，早上在Keiko的指导下学习做章鱼小丸子的美好记忆将会一直保留在我的脑海里，下次再来还会入住Keiko的房子！

Easily the best AirBnB experience we’ve had. Yoko’s place is a perfect place to stay in Kyoto, but it’s much more than just a place to rest your head. Yoko is helpful beyond words and goes out of her way to assist and make you feel at home. I can’t praise her or her house enough.

La mama est très accueillante et souriante ! Nous avons passé un séjour à 4 dans la grande chambre, malgré le faite qu’elle ne parle pas anglais nous arrivons toujours à communiquer et à passer des moments chouettes ! Le petit déjeuner est très copieux ! Sa nourriture aussi, surtout le yum yum chicken 😁 Si nous revenons à kyoto nous y reviendrons à coup sûr !

Lily was a joy to interact with. She looks after her guests very well, serving delicious breakfasts and dropping and picking us up from the station even when she was injured and so busy. We leave with fond memories of our visit. The only downside was we didn't know the toilets were shared between other guests but we managed. It was a different experience and the place was impeccably clean and her decor beautiful. Her friendliness and warmth more than made up for that. Wish you the very best Lily with your new air bnb which is set to open later this year. Love from India and Australia

The host was absolutely outstanding. The atmosphere was always friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect for me since I was attending a conference at the international conference centre (20 minute walk). The facilities were excellent for the price.

This guest house is will be the best choice. The host tommy is very kind and mindful. He speaks english very well, so someone who didn't speak japanese will be satified. Also, the domitory bed was very nice. It's cozy and comfotable. And Tommy will give you breakfast If you request. The toast was tasty. I recommend this guest house, you will not regret your choice. Staying here was the best part of my trip. Chieri is an amazing host and I had a great time getting to know some of the locals in the area.

起床時間太晚了，沒有吃到早餐好可惜，廁所很大間很舒適！ 也謝謝房東幫我把行李交給寄送行李的人～

I planned a trip to Kyoto with a classic B&B vibe in mind and while there was no opportunity to eat all together, Tsukiya was perfect! Location was exactly where we wanted to be in the city, with easy access to public transit and even walkable areas. The breakfasts every morning were thoughtfully crafted starting about 2 hours beforehand. The space was authentic - highly recommend to anyone going to Kyoto!

I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and quiet and would be big enough for two people comfortably. The host was friendly and spoke English. Breakfast was always on time and tasty!

Staying at John’s place in Shiga was an unforgettable experience! John is an incredibly passionate and energetic host, always full of enthusiasm. He and his lovely wife, Rika, made me feel right at home. They even invited me to join their family for a delicious homemade dinner, and Rika kindly provided breakfast as well. Their son, Andre, was also very friendly, and I truly enjoyed our conversations. The house itself is a charming countryside cottage surrounded by beautiful nature, making it a perfect getaway. If you’re visiting Shiga, staying with John is an absolute must! Highly recommended!

Jeg hadde absolutt anbefalt å bo her! Stedet er veldig rolig og hjemmekoselig, men du har fremdeles god plass til å trekke deg tilbake. Fasilitetene var gode, og jeg følte meg ivaretatt. Vertinnen var meget hyggelig, og kom til å med å hentet meg på togstasjonen. I tillegg lagde hun god frokost, og kom med anbefalinger til ting å gjøre. Alt i alt veldig vennlig og koselig! Hadde absolutt anbefalt å bo her
