We loved the garden and the traditional Japanese home.

Makoto-san was really responsive during communication which made it easier for us to understand the procedures. The place was big enough to fit 8 people and was a walkable distance to the train station. One of us had left something in the airbnb without even noticing and Makoto-san contacted us straight away to discuss on the next steps. Overall really good stay and would definitely visit again 👍

Xin’s home is excellent—convenient and close to Exit 6 of the train station (Exit 11 has an elevator). It’s also near Lawson and FamilyMart, and there’s a public onsen nearby, which is a huge plus! After a long day of walking, stopping by is a must. The accommodation is on the second floor, so the only challenge is carrying luggage up the stairs—they're a bit narrow and steep, so be careful. Inside, the house is comfortable and well-suited for our group of five. The beds are cozy, and every room has air conditioning. However, the common area doesn’t have a heater, so it can get a bit chilly in winter. One major advantage is that there are two bathrooms and a washing machine, making the stay incredibly convenient. Xin is a very responsive host, always quick to answer questions and solve any issues. Even when our group had a minor accident in the house, Xin was kind enough not to charge us extra. I highly recommend this place for larger groups—it’s a great choice!

Yamano-san is one of the most helpful hosts I've ever had the pleasure of having. He sent us a complete house guide with directions to get to his place (with photos of every turn), how to use the appliances, and how to dispose of garbage. Japan has strict rules on garbage disposal, so that was essential information. He alsobmet us at check-in to show us everything. He responds to messages immediately and came when we needed help with the water system. We came during cherry blossoms season so everything was just wow! Crowded but beautiful. Good thing Yamano-san's house is in a quiet area even if it is less than 200m from a train and bus station, and from a convenience store. We were even able to walk to the iconic Togetsu-kyo Bridge. Bonus: He is a setai (body adjustment) doctor. He treated two of our group and they loved it! We definitely recommend staying there!

Mako is a warm and gracious host. She even met us at the subway to help us find our way to her home. She was meticulous with directions instructions and recommendations. Her home is comfortable and well cared for and in a great location for a Kyoto stay.

Ich hatte einen großartigen Aufenthalt! Niho war bereits vor meiner Anreise super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie hat all meine Fragen schnell und detailliert beantwortet. Die Wohnung war genau wie beschrieben – klein, gemütlich und bestens ausgestattet. Alles war aufgeräumt und sauber. Besonders überrascht hat mich das Bett: Es sah zunächst nicht besonders gemütlich aus, war aber unglaublich bequem! Die Heizfunktion haben wir nicht benötigt, aber es war alles da, was man brauchte. Ein großer Pluspunkt ist die Nähe zum Bahnhof Shin-Osaka – von dort aus kommt man super schnell überall hin in Osaka und auch in andere Städte. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Amazing stay with also an amazing host; Ken was a very friendly and helpful. He met us the first day of check in and explained everything we needed (how to use certain amenities and locations/directions to many tourist locations and restaurants). The Airbnb was perfect with lots of locations within walking distance. There’s two stations close by, on top of many bus stops to conveniently travel to popular tourist spots. Host was flexible with early check in and luggage storage afterwards. Whenever I’m in Kyoto again, I will definitely be checking out this listing. 10/10
