We had a wonderful family weekend away at the cottage with 6 adults, 1 teen and 2 kids. The cottage was easy to get to, the hosts provided a detailed welcome book with lots of information about the property and local amenities. The house was clean, tastefully decorated and stocked with everything we needed for the weekend. We appreciated having access to the ice fishing hut, which was fun for adults and kids alike. The deck overlooks the lake and we enjoyed the fire table on a warm spring day. The outdoor firepit made for a nice afternoon spot in the sun as well. We enjoyed the sauna as a warm escape from the winter(almost spring but not quite). The location was quiet, the beds comfortable and the kids loved the games room upstairs. The kitchen was big enough to accommodate the 9 of us and our meal preparation. We would happily stay here again and would recommend the cottage to anyone wanting a quiet weekend away in a beautiful home.

Casa Cielo is a home away from home Our group had a wonderful time here! The view was amazing and it was a very relaxing experience. We loved every detail and the host was super responsive! We came here on a chilly winter weekend but the fireplace kept us warm! There are heaters in each room, the cabin is very well insulated! It’s super cozy and plenty of room for a party of 4 + dog! We’d definitely be back in the summer time and enjoy the backyard and perhaps BBQ?! Thank you for the amazing time!

Absolutely a gem in Gainford. Just 45 minutes away from Edmonton so we are not too tired when we arrived. What i like about the place is it has two living room and has fast internet which we enjoyed on our movie nights. The kitchen has all you need. Very complete. We enjoyed cooking for Thanksgivingi just wish there is a microwave oven but it is not a big deal. Very private location. The outdoor is great, we enjoyed fishing and fire pit to warm up our evenings while chatting. Just too bad we were not able to do paddle board and canoe and kayak they provided because obviously the water is already cold. But we enjoyed so much our Thanksgiving weekend as it is also warm enough to enjoy the patio and the view of the lake is to die for even inside the house! not sure about the flies and bugs i am reading but we always because kept the door close or use the screen door in the patio. We absolutely have no issues with bugs or flies inside the house and it is very clean when we checked in.

We had a lovely stay at Marcela's place. It was a perfect location that was close to the city, but able to disconnect from the world with the limited service. We wanted a weekend to reset after some exhausting work and this place was great. Our daughter and dog loved the nearby park and seeing the deer walk by. The backyard was quite large and fenced in, however it is a little steeper than expected. If you're wanting to stay in and relax, bring some books, games or download movies before coming as there is no wifi. Overall we enjoyed Marcela's place and our first trip to Silver Sands, and would gladly stay again.

Sterling was fabulous! He responded quickly to any questions we had and ensured we had everything we needed for our weekend. The space was clean and cosy. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great ice fishing weekend at this wonderful lakefront home! The house is very bright and spacious (and organized!), easily accommodating a few families with everything needed to make it a very enjoyable and relaxing getaway. Including an ice shack! The hosts were very responsive and friendly, quick to answer any and all questions our group had. We made some great memories with family and friends, and hope to make more here in the future!

Wonderful place loved the area. Dennis was a great host. Clean very inviting. Can’t wait to come back.

Super cozy, clean and great location ! Enjoyed the weekend

We stayed at Jean's place for a family Christmas gathering. The cabin was beautiful and perfect for our family. Jean is an exceptional host and ensured all the details were perfect including plenty of chopped wood, a Christmas tree and decorated home. The kitchen was well equipped for everything we needed to make a turkey dinner. We will definitely be coming back again.

We had a great stay. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed, including board games and fishing gear. We loved having access to the ice fishing shack. The heater kept us warm on a very cold weekend. The location was perfect, right on the lake. Couldn’t ask for a better set up. We would definitely book again.

Had a getaway to the house for family day weekend. House is an older home but very large! It works perfect for our families as large rooms, large kitchen and large dining areas. We have lots of young kids and there is lots of room for them to run and play. The space is great and I think if you aren’t looking for a fancy updated house you would enjoy the space.

The house is beautiful and spacious, the hot tub was a treat to have after spending a cold day outside, very close to town, good sledding trails nearby. Aaron was very informative and quick to reply. We all really enjoyed our stay, we will definitely be back!

We had such a great stay at Dan’s cabin!! We were 2 couples, friends getting together to stay 3 nights. We felt very comfortable & at home throughout our whole stay. All of the amenities worked great, everything we needed during our stay. Dan’s cabin is well stocked with dishes, towels, blankets, pillows and plenty of fresh bottled water. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare & enjoy meals. We had lots of fun playing cards & listening to the ‘Alexa’ command stereo music! One of our goals while here, was to do some ice fishing! We were successful one day & happy to enjoy a fish fry! A highlight for sure, was to enjoy the hot tub, which none of us have at home, so it was a real treat! Dan had the hot perfectly ready to go, we didn’t need to adjust any buttons at all. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us Dan, we had such a good time we just might be back one day!
